Story
Wynona is shy at first -- she is extremely sweet when she is comfortable, but give her a few days and she will be ready for some human attention. She loves chin scratches and just to be near her human. She gets along with other non-dominant cats and will just mind her own business -- she does not do well with cats who will bully her. Wynona is quick to seek out human company when comfortable. While she does get along with other cats, proper acclimation is extremely important in the process of adjusting to a new home and other cats. Wynona has a $100 adoption fee. All cats adopted through our rescue are age appropriately vaccinated including rabies & FVRCP/Feline Leukemia vaccines, dewormed & free of fleas, combo tested (negative unless otherwise noted), microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoptions are finalized. If you would like to adopt, please fill out the application through the link or the website at -www.whiskersofohio.org - please note that the "I'm interested" tab on Petfinder does NOT act as an application, this should only be used for specific questions before committing to an adoption. You will receive an email confirmation when your application goes through. We make no breed guarantees, we are a rescue, not a breeder. Please only apply for a specific kitten if you are committed to adopting! Our workers are all volunteers and it takes time to process applications. We are a registered 501c3 non-profit organization, with ZERO paid workers or admins. Free transport is regularly available to Wayne/Holmes County areas! We do have the ability to fly a cat or pair of kittens via Southwest's SWATT program to any location served by Southwest Airlines. It isn't free but has been a great way to transport animals in a timely manner.

Story
Noah & Lacey are almost 11 years old, a bonded pair of senior, declawed cats. Noah is gray/white, while Lacey is the brown tabby. They are both very sweet, great litter box habits and quiet, well mannered cats. The pair was surrendered through no fault of their own (adopters had a dog that was very allergic to them); they had originally come to us in 2024 when their owner passed away. Noah is definitely the more outgoing of the two, instantly friendly and snuggly. Lacey likes people, but also like to just do her own thing. They just need someone to provide a quiet home for them where they can relax and be loved. Both are large cats, 12-14 pounds. They each have a $100 adoption fee. All cats adopted through our rescue are age appropriately vaccinated including rabies & FVRCP/Feline Leukemia vaccines, dewormed & free of fleas, combo tested (negative unless otherwise noted), microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoptions are finalized. Story
Tess is a very sweet girl, she has been instantly friendly -- she likes to be near and will rub on your face if you allow. More snuggly than playful, she has a gentle way and enjoy people. Their litter was born to a feral mom in Granville -- mom was spayed too, and Tess is the last of her litter in need of a home! She LOVES to have a feline buddy to snuggle up to. Tess is about 9 months old and has a $125 adoption fee. All cats adopted through our rescue are age appropriately vaccinated including rabies & FVRCP/Feline Leukemia vaccines, dewormed & free of fleas, combo tested (negative unless otherwise noted), microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoptions are finalized.
