Story
Leo is a wonderful, sweet and soft cat. Definitely likes to be lap kitty and sleep at the end of the bed at night. He’s 5 years old, and neutered. I’ve take good care of him. He’s an indoor cat and likes his scratching wooden post. He got out once and was gone for about a week. He came back and has never wanted back outside. Pretty sure he got into a fight with another cat or wild animal bc he had a slice in his ear. He got healed up and has been an indoor kitty since. He comes when called. He’s a really great cat. Until we got our puppy, a German shepherd. They got along fine at first. Until the puppy grew. Now Leo is afraid of the dog. He won’t come downstairs very often. He hides a lot. And runs scared when the dog is out. I have tried separating them and putting them on meds. Nothing has helped. Our dog is hyper and reactive and I just feel so bad for Leo. He needs a house with dogs who aren’t hyper active. He doesn’t do well with other cats.

Story
Ozzy came to us via our local vet who reached out for help finding him a forever home -- he was in a group of adults being TNR'd. Thought to be feral at first, and very frightened, he got a little more comfortable at the office every day -- when we picked him up to evaluate, he melted into our foster's arms... He WANTS to be loved, but he needs to trust you before he allows himself to be comfortable. He is gorgeous with a full, silky coat of fur, and oh so soft. He does great with other cats... He is about 6 months old, and has a $125 adoption fee. All cats adopted through our rescue are age appropriately vaccinated including rabies & FVRCP/Feline Leukemia vaccines, dewormed & free of fleas, combo tested (negative unless otherwise noted), microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoptions are finalized. If you would like to adopt, please fill out the application through the link or the website at -www.whiskersofohio.org - please note that the "I'm interested" tab on Petfinder does NOT act as an application, this should only be used for specific questions before committing to an adoption. You will receive an email confirmation when your application goes through. We make no breed guarantees, we are a rescue, not a breeder. Please only apply for a specific kitten if you are committed to adopting! Our workers are all volunteers and it takes time to process applications. We are a registered 501c3 non-profit organization, with ZERO paid workers or admins.

Story
Duke is about 8 months old, he has 2 siblings: Dayton and Duchess. He has adjusted rather well to the indoor life. He has no desire to go outside. He has made many cat friends but no dog friends. He would do well in a calm home with other cats. He gets along GREAT with Duchess and Margarine. He is a cats cat - he will let me love on him but mainly likes to be with his cat friends. He is an avid bird watcher. He has a $125 adoption fee. All cats adopted through our rescue are age appropriately vaccinated including rabies & FVRCP/Feline Leukemia vaccines, dewormed & free of fleas, combo tested (negative unless otherwise noted), microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoptions are finalized. We do have the ability to fly a cat or pair of kittens via Southwest's SWATT program to any location served by Southwest Airlines. It isn't free but has been a great way to transport animals in a timely manner.

Story
Ruby Tuesday and Princess Gracie are a pair of 15 year old sisters, whose owners unfortunately are now in a nursing home. These girls were loved and spoiled -- climbing walls, handcrafted furniture and climbing posts just for them -- they are feeling a little lost and lonely right now, and need someone with lots of time to dedicate to them. They MUST be adopted together. These girls are very active and chatty, and potential adopted must have breed experience, as Bengals are like no other cat... They do have papers and are TICA registered. They are gorgeous, unique girls who like people and attention but are not lap cats. They each have a $100 adoption fee. All cats adopted through our rescue are age appropriately vaccinated including rabies & FVRCP/Feline Leukemia vaccines, dewormed & free of fleas, combo tested (negative unless otherwise noted), microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoptions are finalized.
