Story
Mittens is being surrendered to our rescue due to too many animals in the home. She is utd on vaccinations & spayed. She is an independent cat, who will snuggle with you occasionally. She might need a little work with litter training, it is intermittent, but it is probably due to the number of cats in the home vs. the number of litter boxes. She is about 3 years old and weighs about 8lbs.

Story
Joy is a confident happy kittyTo start our adoption process, House of Mews Rescue asks that you please complete our online no-obligation adoption application, which is located on our website under the adopt tab at http://www.houseofmewsrescue.org/adopt.html Should our Adoption Coordinator feel your application is a good fit, a HOM volunteer will reach out to discuss your application with you.  Current on vaccinations, and have tested negative for both FIV ('Feline Immunodeficiency Virus') and FeLV (Feline Leukemia). Joy has been in foster care her whole life. Joy is sweet and loving and will seek out attention and ask to be pet.  But it is a bit of a process with her. Joy had a tough start so initially she has a bit of fear to overcome.  Shy and fearful cats are overlooked all to often in rescue.  If someone would give Joy a chance, you will see the wonderful cat she has blossomed into. Joy is ready to find a family that will give her a bit of time to adjust to her new surroundings and who can offer her companionship that will help to boost her confidence.   Approx. birth date: 9/9/2022 Foster:  MGOctober 23, 2024, 1:04 pm

Jordi is tiny but mightyTo start our adoption process, House of Mews Rescue asks that you please complete our online no-obligation adoption application, which is located on our website under the adopt tab at http://www.houseofmewsrescue.org/adopt.html Should our Adoption Coordinator feel your application is a good fit, a HOM volunteer will reach out to discuss your application with you.  Current on vaccinations, and have tested negative for both FIV ('Feline Immunodeficiency Virus') and FeLV (Feline Leukemia). My name is Jordi.  I am the tiniest kitty in my litter. This has made me mighty and super duper friendly.  I was a bit afraid when I was taken into foster care, but with all the love and attention I am getting, I realize there isn't anything to be afraid of anymore. I am gentle and delicate.  I love to be held and kissed on the head by my foster mom.  I can't help but purr every time she holds me.  I am ready for my next big adventure.  I am looking for a family that will spoil me, give me a minute to adjust, and keep me forever and ever.   Approx. birth date: 4/4/23 Foster:  MGM October 23, 2024, 1:04 pm

Story
Sicily can easily win any eating competitionTo start our adoption process, House of Mews Rescue asks that you please complete our online no-obligation adoption application, which is located on our website under the adopt tab at http://www.houseofmewsrescue.org/adopt.html  Should our adoption coordinator feel your application is a good fit, a HOM volunteer will reach out to discuss it with you.  Current on vaccinations, and have tested negative for both FIV ('Feline Immunodeficiency Virus') and FeLV (Feline Leukemia). Sicily, Florence, Milan, and their mother were scheduled to be euthanized to make space in a shelter.  Through some social media networking, the family was transferred to House of Mews through networking to save their lives.  Upon arrival, the girls were found malnourished and infested with intestinal parasites; they ravished every single meal as if they had never eaten in their lives.  Finally, these little ladies realize they will not be deprived of food again, but they still squeal and dance around like groupies when they see or hear a can of fancy feast popping open.   Sicily is a light-colored tabby with traces of orange.  Some people call that a Torbie.  This little girl is small but mighty, a lean, mean eating machine who takes her meals seriously. When meals are served, Sicily is the first to run to the plate, digs her little head right into the food, and vacuum down half a can of fancy feast without taking a breath.  Sicily is blithe, spunky, and playful.  While content to sit on a human lap, she gets distracted easily by anything that moves; she will run to explore.  Like her sisters, Sicily enjoys tackling a hand-held vacuum cleaner and beating up a paper towel roll.  She is a social and goofy girl and can be very opinionated.  Sicily is looking for a home that appreciates her enduring mischievousness and love for life.  She needs a friendly feline companion to keep her occupied and away from trouble.  She would be ecstatic if she could be adopted into a home with her mom or one of her sisters, Milan or Florence.  Approx. birth date: 5/26/2024 Foster:  CCLMarch 9, 2025, 12:40 pm
