Story
Marvin is a very handsome soft gray tabby cat. We estimate him to be about 1 year old. Marvin was found as a stray. He is nervous here in the shelter and prefers to hangout in his hiding box. He is looking for a patient family or person who can give him time to adjust to his new situation. If you are looking for a low key roommate who may hide for a few days at a time, please come and meet Marvin! He is up to date on vaccines, is litter box trained and his adoption fee includes a voucher for the mandatory neuter and microchip.

Story
Meet Layla This beautiful 4-year-old tabby and white girl with stunning green eyes is looking for a second chance at forever. Layla was adopted a few years ago, but sadly found herself back in the local shelter after her family had to surrender her. Understandably, Layla is a bit reserved at first, but beneath that quiet exterior is a gentle soul who just wants to feel safe and loved again. She’s all about the simple pleasures—mealtime, cozy naps, and the occasional window view. With her thick, plush coat, Layla will need regular brushing (which she enjoys once she’s comfortable!). A calm home where she can settle in at her own pace would be the perfect fit. If you’re looking for a serene and loyal companion, Layla is ready to share her quiet love with you. Apply to adopt at hsdavie.org/cats.

Story
Meet Minnie! Minnie is a 6-year-old orange short-haired beauty with a heart full of love. At first, she can be a little shy—when she arrived at her foster home, she tucked herself away under a cabinet. But within a day, she realized she was safe and decided to join the family. Since then, she’s been a total sweetheart who just wants to cuddle and soak up affection. Minnie gets along with some cats but prefers to choose her friends, so she’d do well as an only cat or with laid-back feline companions. She has perfect litter box habits, is spayed, and is completely ready to move into her forever home. She loves her daily treat of canned food and has her own little “apartment” where she naps until her foster mom comes in—then she happily emerges for pets and love. If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate companion who will make herself at home in your heart, Minnie is your girl! Apply to adopt at hsdavie.org/cats

Story
Meet Bailey — a sweet, gentle tabby in urgent need of a home! Bailey lived happily indoors her whole life until her owner moved away and left her behind. Thankfully, we knew her from before (we used to pet sit for her!), and when she turned up at a neighbor’s door a week later, we stepped in to help. Bailey is 6 years old, spayed, litterbox trained, and already treated for fleas. She’s healthy, calm, and incredibly affectionate — especially when greeting you after you’ve been away. Her favorite things include curling up beside you and carrying her little mouse toys around the house. She’s done well living with another cat and with children in the past and will adjust beautifully with a little time and patience. If you or someone you know can give this sweetheart the second chance she deserves, please visit hsdavie.org/cats and apply to adopt today — Bailey’s waiting to be loved again. ❤️
