Story
We rescued (literally) these two kitties on January 23rd. We went out for a walk with our dog, who is a Rottweiler, and heard a kitten in despair, we looked for the kitten who was crying and found it about 50 ft up a tree! When trying to coax the kitten out the tree, other neighbors commented that it had been up there for 2-days! We were dismayed to learn this! Anyway, we could not leave the kitty up the tree, so we hired a tree service and paid them to come get the kitty out of the tree. While waiting for the tree service another kitty popped out of a burrowed hole at the base of the tree. So, the tortie kitty was under the tree and the black kitty was up in the tree. Needless to say, we have them in our dog's crate, but our Rottie is struggling! We need to find a safe place for these kitties to go, we cannot keep them, and they are not safe with our rescue Rottie. They are as sweet as can be, very affectionate, litter trained and appear to in great health.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.York DOB:  April 2023 Neutered Male         Short Hair        Black You know, cuddly kitties are great, but sometimes you just need a goofball to make you laugh and lift your spirits. So, we should get to know each other. My name is York. As you can see, I am quite handsome, but I also have a very serious side. That is, I’m serious about playing! Mouse toys, string toys, jingle balls, and even a crumpled ball of paper will keep me entertained for hours!   I would love a forever home with another cat buddy (or cat-friendly dog) for me to play with. But I can be an only pet, as long as I get plenty of play (and cuddle) time. I would be a great buddy for anyone age 6 and up! Contact Best Friend Pet Adoption, and they’ll set up a time for me to show off my exceptional hunting skills for you. You can email them at adoption@bfpa.org and tell them you want to adopt YORK.   Dogs:  Must have kitty manners Other cats:  Good with others, needs a friend Kids:  Over 6 with kitty experienceVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 6, 2024, 4:27 pm

Just ask my foster mom; she thinks I’m awesome! I’m an active boy; let’s call me busy.  Whether it’s chores around the house, a project, or watching TV, I’ll be involved in any activity and offer helpful hints.  I get along with everyone — kids, dogs, and other cats, too.  I’m the whole package!  My energy can be kind of extra, so other pets will need to be ready for my rambunctious self. I’d love to meet you and show you all my attributes and skills.  Once I wear myself out, you’ll have a total cuddler who will catch up on the latest shows together.  So, let’s hang out and see if it’s a match! Contact Best Friend Pet Adoption (adoption@bfpa.org) and schedule a meet-and-greet! Story
Super-soft both inside and out, this silly girl with a loud purr will give you lots of loving headbutts and snuggle time. She's super-tolerant of kids and kid-type affection/handling, and enjoys bird watching, toy playing, bug chasing, and napping. She checks several of the stereotypical cat boxes: hogs the bed, sits on your laptop/books, knocks over your water glass, sits in all the boxes, etc. Originally a rescue adopted to keep another recently adopted rescue company, she came to us when they didn't get along. However, it turns out she doesn't get along with our resident cat, either. Two and a half years of appointments, pheremones, special food and supplements, and environment enrichments later, they don't fight but apparently stress each other out merely by existing adjacent to each other. Given her history, I think she'd do well in an environment with cat-experienced people but WITHOUT other cats.
