Story
Otis is in need of a new home as our Uncle must move into assisted living as soon as possible due to Alzheimer. He is an indoor-only cat, just under 5 years old, and has been very loved and well cared for since he was a kitten. Otis is used to regular affection, playtime, and companionship, and would do best in a home where he can continue to receive that attention. He's a sweet boy who deserves a safe, stable, and loving place to land.

Story
Mae is a gentle, loving cat—1 year and 9 months old—originally adopted from SPCA Raleigh. She’s very shy at first and may need a few days to feel comfortable in a new home, but once she settles, she becomes a true sweetheart. Mae is quiet, calm, and doesn’t make noise or jump around. We are heartbroken to rehome her, but we recently discovered that my husband is allergic to cats. We hope she finds a patient, loving family who will give her the comfort and safety she deserves.

Story
Sassy was adopted from a farm. She is sweet and loves attention. She is three years old with lots of energy. She will greet you at the door when you arrive home everyday. Her full name is Sassafras but I call her Sassy because she loves to talk with you. I am gone long hours and she is in need of company.

Story
Stevie is a sweet cat who is great with kids and loves being petted. He is diabetic, and we are happy to continue to provide/pay for insulin. We travel often for work and cannot afford to keep boarding him with his special needs. He has lived with his sister Frida for 10 years, so we would be open to re-homing both if the adopter would prefer. She is also very sweet and does not have any special needs. Stevie does sometimes choose not to use the litter box, especially since we got a dog 5 years ago. It was not common practice for him before that. His diabetes is well managed and we have a long-term supply. As far as care, he eats a low glucose food and gets an insulin shot in the morning and evening. He does not mind the shots at all and they’re very easy to administer.

Story
I’m a calm, gentle boy who loves attention and pets. I’ll happily keep you company while you work and sleep quietly in my own bed at night. I’m laid-back and respectful of space, though if I’m hungry or want affection, I can be quite vocal! I was adopted as a kitten in 2011, but when my family moved, I was left behind. A kind person found me alone and underweight, got me scanned for a microchip, and I was returned to AC&A. Despite everything, I’m still a sweet soul with a big love for kibble. I’m easy going around other adult cats and mostly do my own thing. I just want a warm sunbeam, a full belly, and a family to call my own. Searching for a loving and laid-back buddy? I can’t wait to meet you! Est. DOB: April 12, 2011 Fully vetted: treated for fleas, ear mites, and intestinal parasites, tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted), spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccinations (including FVRCP+FeLV [initial vaccination and booster] and rabies), and microchipped with shelter paid registration.
