Story
Penny is a sweet cat who loves to lay on the couch and soak up some sun rays. Not clingy, independent but enjoys a good scratch. We are wanting to rehome her because she has accidents urinating outside her littler box even though she is litter trained.

Story
Scout is a beautiful, friendly, happy Calico, almost three years old. She is a house cat that has free range of the house as well as the outdoors- she knows how to go and come through a cat door. She loves, adores, being held and petted- and will sleep with you all night if you let her. She purrs, rubs against you, and will talk to you- really. Unfortunately, I am getting married in April, and although Scout adores dogs (you can see her with my Great Dane in the pics), unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the dog coming into the house. He wants to chase her, to play, but that intimidates Scout, so she runs and hides. We love Scout- enough to know that she deserves a home where she doesn't have to hide from a curious dog. She's up to date on her shots, and will have a complete vet exam, at our cost, before re-homing her. She'll also come with her toys and food.

ABOUT LEON This handsome black and white kitty is Leon! He came to HAP when he was found wandering as a stray. We aren't too sure of his background but our vet estimates him to be around 2 years old. Upon his arrival, he was very underweight and begging to be loved. He has regained some healthy weight and will surely melt into you for some treats. Leon is truly a lover boy, enjoying head pets and pawing at you for more when you stop. He has come out of his shell over time, showing us that he also enjoys playtime and is comfortable tolerating other laid-back cats! Leon has also gotten comfortable enough to really let himself relax and he can often be found sprawled out - literally, in one of the cat beds. And when he's stretched out on his back, he'll even let you give him some belly rubs occasionally! Leon is an extremely affectionate, mellow tempered, loving cat who's looking for his new family! Could it be with you! Stop by today to see if Leon could be a part of your HAPpily ever after! If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Story
ABOUT LUNA When Luna's owner was undergoing cancer treatment, she realized that she would not be able to keep Luna much longer, so she came to HAP for help. Luna is a 3-year-old girl who spent her entire life in a home. Understandably, Luna was very sad and scared to be in the shelter. Despite her fears, Luna has always remained a shy, but very sweet kitty. She loves making biscuits, playing with her toys, and most favorably, being loved. Luna has made a few feline friends since her arrival and has adjusted well to living in our free roaming cat room! Most days, you can find Miss Luna curled up in one of the little cat tower baskets enjoying a cat nap. Luna has also shown her agility skills by running through the cat tunnels - she loves them! She will also take any treat you offer right out of your hand! Luna has her moments of being talkative and that's sometimes when her sassy side comes out. Overall, Luna is a sweet, gentle, loving soul who's looking for her HAPpily ever after! So stop by today and meet Luna! If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. ABOUT SHELBY This one-eyed beauty is our girl Shelby! She came to HAP from a high-intake shelter in New Jersey when they no longer had space for her. Despite being in the shelter, she settled in beautifully and has been quite the favorite around here! Shelby spent a couple of months as our lobby cat, greeting all visitors and leaning into everyone for love. She enjoys playing with jingles balls and wand toys, zooming quickly to bat them around. She also appreciates a good afternoon nap, either cuddled up with you or cozy on her bed. Shelby is very friendly when meeting new people, though she is also a confident girl and will set boundaries if she gets overwhelmed with a gentle tap. While Shelby is social with people, she is seeking a home as your only cat. If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals.
