Story
Meet Ginny Geeg! This young at heart lady came to us as Ginny, but with the spunk that she has shown, we decided to spice up her name a little bit. Ginny was rescued off the streets over a year ago by a good Samaritan. Since Ginny wasn't a fan of the other cats in the house, she was stuck in a dog crate. The good Samaritan reached out to us, when Ginny was crying out when she ate, and she wasn't able to afford the dental that she suspected Ginny required. Hearing about her situation, we offered to take her and get her the care she needed. Once our vets looked at her, they realized she needed more than just a standard dental. She has a condition called stomatitis, which is like gingivitis for cats. For her, managing it has been as simple as adding some medication to her food. What can be easier than that? As if this poor girl didn't have it rough enough, as soon as we were ready to send her in for her dental, we discovered a lump on her belly. The lump was removed but it was malignant. Now Ginny Geeg is cancer free and ready to live her best life. Even with all that going on, Ginny Geeg has been a champ. She has a good appetite and is in good spirits. She doesn't have a lot of love for other cats, but she has done well with small dogs who respect her space. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 13.4 Age: 11yrs 0mths 0wks

Story
Meet Paget! This beautiful young girl was unfortunately returned to us due to ongoing conflict between her and the other resident cat. She can coexist with another cat, but tends to be more dominant which can ultimately present a problem if the other kitty has a similar temperament. Paget was also having some issues with what we believe to be allergies, so is currently on a daily medication to help manage her symptoms. Thankfully she is very good at taking her medicine in her food. She is a very smart girl with an extremely inquisitive mind. She is food motivated, so encouraging her hunting instincts with foraging toys, or even teaching her tricks, would be wonderful forms of enrichment for her. Her foster mom has described her as being super friendly with a feisty side. So we'd ideally be seeking a more cat savvy adopter without young children for her. Please visit rbari.org/cats to fill out an application for our spicy, yet sweet Miss Paget. Primary Color: Orange Tabby Secondary Color: White Weight: 8.8 Age: 4yrs 1mths 4wks

Story
Our sweet Miss Jones was surrendered to us back in August of last year. Sadly her pet parent had passed away, and a family member had brought Miss Jones to Oradell shortly thereafter to have her euthanized. Thankfully our friends at Oradell reached out to us before anything was done. We immediately agreed to take her on, and as we weren't sure when she had last seen a vet, we decided to address her medical needs first. Initially we only found that Miss Jones had the beginnings of kidney disease, and was in dire need of a dental. As with most of our senior animals, as soon as she had recovered from her dental cleaning and extractions, we began seeking a foster home. Thankfully we found the perfect person for her.Unfortunately despite receiving excellent care from her very attentive foster mom, Miss Jones' kidney disease has progressed some, and she has developed high blood pressure. She is eating a kidney care diet, receiving regular subcutaneous fluids and is on medication to help manage her blood pressure. The good news is that Miss Jones tends to be very food motivated, so is easily distracted for fluids and takes her pill right in a little pill pocket. We understand that Miss Jones has her challenges, but she is an incredibly sweet and loving girl who has so much more life to live. She would truly be an amazing addition to almost any home. If you or someone you know might be interested in adding her to your family, please don't hesitate to fill out an application for her at rbari.org/cats. Story
Meet Noah! 🤎 This strikingly handsome 7 year old boy was returned to us when he become too overwhelmed by the newest addition of a newborn baby. Despite his size, Noah is just a big baby himself! Loud or sudden noises and movements spook him and his reaction is to run under his bed or up onto his cat tower. When Noah is feeling confident, he will greet you at the door with the smallest "meow" and rub his whole body on your legs. Sometimes when this occurs, he can overstimulate and give you a verbal warning that he does not want to be petted at this time. If you push his boundaries, he is not afraid to give you a little smack with his paw to tell you "Hey, I don't want that right now!"Noah is the type of cat who takes time to bond with a person and feels more comfortable with women. When he trusts you, he is the most loyal, affectionate and loving cat! This incredible connection will never be broken once he has "accepted" you. He will sleep in your lap, lick your face and purr like a motorboat! He will even follow you around and beg for pettings.Noah's ideal home would be without other animals or small children. He requires a household with no more than one or two people that live a more "lowkey" and quiet lifestyle. To learn more about Noah, please email us at catkennel@rbari.org. 🐾 Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Brown Tabby Weight: 13.12 Age: 9yrs 4mths 1wks

Story
If you're looking for a cat with a big personality, look no further than Tallulah! She's a total shoulder cat - as soon as we open her cage, she leaps right into your arms. She loves her people and tends to play a bit on the rough side, so will need a home that can match her energy. This little lady would benefit from lots of playtime, and maybe even another cat or two that can help keep her occupied! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 7.6 Age: 1yrs 2mths 0wks

Story
Meet Reed! Reed was being cared for as a community cat, and was discovered with an injury on his tail. Within the following days, his tail had fallen off, leaving an open wound. Reed was rushed to the hospital to amputate most of his tail before infection could set in. Since arriving at the shelter, Reed has been affectionate, vocal, and active, loves to give headbutts, and is always looking forward to feeding time. He has such a charming shape to him and looks like a bear with his short tail. Reed has been tolerant of other cats and is able to co-exist with them as long as they give him his space when he needs it.
