Story
Romeo and Julietta are siblings and are a bonded pair. They were found in the parking lot of Starbucks in October and were trapped and neutered, but we didnt have the heart to put them back outside for a long cold winter ahead. We decided we would foster them and try and socialize them but I knew I couldnt keep them. They have been in our heated garage and they are being well taken care of. We know they are ready for a home environment and would love to find them their furever home together. Romeo likes the attention and is more outgoing than his sister but she relies on him to feel more comfortable around people. She is very sweet. They have both come a long way since we have had them and are around a year old now. They love to get treats, play with their toys and love to sit in the sun and look out the window and watch the world go by.If you are able and willing to open your heart and your home and take in Romeo and Juliet it is imperative they remain together. One would be lost without the other. Please know that you will need a gentle voice, a gentle touch and a bit of patience so that Romeo and Juliet can build their trust and love for their new family. They have comforted each other through thick and thin and have been so grateful not to wonder each day where they will sleep or get their next meal. Once they feel comfortable, they will give you hours of unconditional love. They will show how much they appreciate the opportunity to have a forever family each time you are close to them and you hear them purr!Thank you for considering adopting this precious pair.

Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Romeo was adopted along with a Pitt bull by my sister. He was approximately 7 months when she adopted both. So he is now approximately 6. They both got along but we’re bonded being they both got adopted at the same time. I had to place my sister in assisted living due to early onset dementia. I was supposed to have major surgery 6 years ago. The Dr told me then if I didn’t, I would not be walking. Well, I am still walking but barely. Neither of these surgery’s are a quick fix and I will not be able to bend, lift or twist for a minimum of 3 months.Romeo is chipped, and neutered. He did go to a home for 5 days but was returned, not given the chance to adjust. He tends to prefer females, but if you’re not willing to give him a couple weeks to adjust then please don’t bother. He was using the litter box, finally eating and drinking and was just starting to come out. I don’t want to put him down. Way more to the story but not enough space to put here. Please email me! I can answer more there

Story
Meet Luna: Your New Best Friend Luna is a delightful medium-haired mix breed who has been my loving companion for the past three years. I adopted her from a shelter, and she quickly became a cherished member of my family. Now, due to an upcoming move to a different state, I am sadly unable to take her with me. Luna is around three and half years old, healthy, spayed, and up-to-date on all her vaccinations. She’s incredibly affectionate, loves to cuddle, and enjoys quiet afternoons by the window. Luna has a playful side too; she loves chasing feather toys and can entertain herself for hours with a simple ball of yarn. She’s well-mannered, and litter-trained. Whether you’re looking for a loyal companion to share quiet moments or a playful friend to brighten your day, Luna is the perfect match. If you’re ready to give Luna a loving forever home, she’ll bring endless joy and companionship into your life. Adopt Luna today and let her fill your home with love and purrs.

Story
Persimmon is approximately 1-year-old of April 2023 whose shiny coal-black coat really stands out in a crowd!  He is a sweet-tempered and sensitive type who was scared of his new surroundings at first but within the span of 2-3 weeks, he was all over the house and coming around his foster mom for attention and scratches by his tail.  Lately, he has with the cold weather he has become quite the snuggle bug wanting to lay on his person's lap with his favorite foster sister almost every time she sits down.  He hasn’t been around dogs very much but I believe with a proper introduction of a friendly dog and lots of patience, it should not be a problem.  In addition, he gets along well with other cats both young and adults.  He would certainly enjoy a similar-aged or friendly adult cat to tussle with as he enjoys spirited playtime with his foster siblings, but he also plays independently quite well.  He comes to you litter box trained, neutered, FIV/FeLV negative, and with all age-appropriate vaccinations so contact Rock City Rescue to adopt this dashing young man!June 30, 2024, 12:13 am

Story
Bruno is a handsome and approximately 1-year-old (as of April 2023) cat that we all certainly need to talk about!   Not only does he have stunning eyes, a shiny coal-black coat with striking tabby markings underneath.  His body type is very slim and exotic akin to a Siamese.  He is a sweet-tempered soul with a playful personality and loves mealtimes, treats, playing hard, and sleeping on soft blankets or the cat tree.  He is a gentle soul who plays well with other kittens and gets along with adult cats in that he does not tend to pester them.  This boy plays independently quite well, but I think he would certainly enjoy a younger or active adult cat to tussle with if not a cat/kitten around his age. He can be a little shy with strangers and mostly gives his affection to people he trusts.  I believe he will blossom in an environment that will be patient with him.  He comes to you litter box trained, neutered, FIV/FeLV negative, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations so contact Rock City Rescue to adopt this unique boy.June 30, 2024, 12:13 am
