Story
Before we meet, let's get a few things straight. I am not perfect, but really, who is? I can go from sweet to spicy in under 10 seconds. One second I'll be rubbing on your legs because you're my favorite person ever, and then the next second I will try to bite your leg or swat your hand because I got too excited about your existence. What can I say? I didn't pay much attention in cat etiquette school... I've done a lot of thinking about what I'd like in my new home, and I think these are the things that will help me be the most successful: 1. Only pet. I have tormented a dog and would do so again. 2. Adults only. My inappropriate forms of affection are not a great combination with kids. 3. A house. My loud, beautiful voice will not be appreciated by apartment neighbors. 4. Opportunity to be an indoor/outdoor cat. I pull out my hair when I'm bored and being allowed outside may offer additional enrichment to keep me happy. The other thing you should know about me is that I have a huge appreciation for food! Eating food from bowls is just too boring - I enjoy lick mats, food puzzles, chasing after the pieces of kibble as you throw them, and having it scattered across the floor. If my unique needs meet your unique wants, then please call the shelter at (603) 472-3647!

Story
Have you ever heard of a "spirit cat"? Opossum is a special girl, she's not your average domesticated cat, she's a spirit cat. Spirit cats, like Opossum, are nervous of engaging with humans and prefer to keep their distance, but they can still make good pets because they can make amazing friends for resident felines! Opossum doesn't particularly enjoy humans intruding on her space, but she LOVES other cats. They're her favorite thing about life. We think that if Opossum lived in a home with a friendly cat, she could be quite happy, as long as it was a calm home with a patient owner who wouldn't push her beyond her comfort zone. Friendship would be a welcomed bonus but shouldn't be expected as Opossum is 6 years old and her personality may/may not change in time after she gets to know someone and gets accustomed to a new living space. Opossum would not want to live with a dog. She needs an adult-only home. If you're interested in exploring the idea of adopting our precious little spirit cat Opossum, call the shelter at (603) 472-3647 and press 1 for adoptions to schedule an appointment to meet her!

Story
Midnight is a sweet and talkative girl who is looking for a laid-back home. She did not get along with the other cats in her previous home and found living with them stressful. Worry not though, she has got enough love to make up for being an only gal! It might not register in her photo, but Midnight is a big girl who needs to lose a significant amount of weight to live a happy and healthy life. Her new family should be prepared to manage her food intake and encourage exercise. In her previous home, she enjoyed going outside on a cat harness. She should not be an indoor/outdoor cat without supervision though, frankly she doesn't have the survival skills! If you would like to meet Midnight, give us a call at 603-472-3647 and press 1 for adoptions.

Story
Bubby is a loving, smart, playful, and entertaining boy. Our favorite thing about him, is that he loves playing with his matchbox car! He pushes it around the room when he is feeling playful. Bubby was surrendered because he had a urinary blockage that needed emergency surgery. He is feeling good now, however it is something that his new family will need to continue monitoring. Bubby should be an only pet, because stress could be a trigger for urinary problems. If you are interested in Bubby, give us a call at 603-472-3647 and press 1 for adoptions.

Story
This lovely girl's name is Anna. She is a shy, quiet senior kitty looking for someone to love! Anna has been a bit nervous here at the shelter (many cats are nervous here though because it's a busy environment), choosing to tuck herself in a cat tree or hide most of the time, but she does enjoy people once she's settled in somewhere. She's just not the most confident cat, which is certainly okay! Anna came into the shelter due to housing restrictions. She formerly lived with her sister Elsa, but the two aren't necessarily "bonded" - here at the shelter she's in a room with Elsa, and they co-reside peacefully, but they don't seem to be in love (they don't snuggle, play, sleep, or choose to settle in the same space), so they could either go home separately or together. Though Anna and Elsa could live together, we feel they wouldn't want to live with another cat that they've never met. They would not want to live with a dog. They could live in an adult-only home or one with teens. If you're interested in Anna and/or Elsa, call the shelter at (603) 472-3647 and press 1 for adoptions to schedule an appointment!

Isn't Elsa adorable?! She's extremely photogenic. A senior beauty queen! Elsa loves attention.
