Brittany - Female Spayed DOB 3/6/2022 Domestic Short Hair Black/Tan & White Tabby - Meet Brittany! This beautiful tabby girl with the striking green eyes, delicate features and tiny wisps of fur on her ear tips.  She came to us from North Carolina but has called New Hampshire home for a while.  She would be so happy to actually find her FuRRRever home now.  Brittany is an FIP survivor, undergoing weeks of treatment and monitoring and is now among our miracle survivors.  FIP is no longer a death sentence for kitties, and is treatable when caught in its early stages.  "Warioress" is the perfect term for Brittany.  FuRRR has treated a number of cats with success that were diagnosed with FIP. Brittany is the sweetest kitty, she loves butt rubs and then to roll against you and give your head her special "I love you" kitty rub.  She does fine with other kitties, as long as they give her space.  If they don't, they can expect a gentle swat to remind them that she is the Queenbee.  Brittany is playful, she loves her springs and to carry her prize "mouse" around the house.  She will make a great housemate but not a playmate with another cat.  The ideal home would be where she would be an only kitty or with another cat that doesn't need a buddy, no dogs and any children must be older and respectful.  There are several websites to research for more information on FIP and treatments. Please apply via our easy online application at https://furrr.org/cat-adoption-process/All kitten(s) and cat(s) at FuRRR Feline Rescue are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations for their age, combo tested for FIV/FeLV, microchipped and have a Health Certificate from a licensed NH veterinarian.  Our application is available to be completed online at  https://furrr.org/cat-adoption-process/  Applying DOES NOT guarantee approval.  We hold meet and greets with approved applications only.  (Kittens are available for adoption in pairs only unless they are going home to another kitten or young cat under 3) Our policy is strictly NO DECLAWING and INDOOR ONLY. Adoption fees: Kitten to 1 yr - $300  Kitten pairs $550 Adult cat 1+ yr to 8 yr - $200 Adult pairs $350 Cat 8+ - $75 November 6, 2024, 12:22 pm

Story
Sissy - Female DOB 8/14/2023 Domestic Short Hair Black/Brown Swirl - Meet Sissy! It’s so sweet when cats choose each other! Frankie, with those gorgeous blue eyes, is a sweet lap cat who craves human attention, and when first coming to the rescue wasn't too fond of the other cats, but since he's settled in he's fine being around other cats, especially females. When it comes to his best friend, Sissy, it's a different story—he's utterly devoted to her, even going as far as crying if she's not nearby.  They are truly boyfriend/girlfriend. On their wish list? Frankie requests lots of head scratches and rubs. Plus, a home that finds his ‘talking’ absolutely adorable. He is very playful, and loves to chase wand toys and moving toys like a laser light or remote mouse. Frankie's favorite place to lay? In an empty small cardboard box like the canned fancy feast comes in, or on a flat corregated scratcher.  Nope, he's not fussy lol. Sweet Sissy hopes for a home that will allow her the time she needs to warm up to her humans, plus some toys and tunnels for her to explore once she feels settled.  She has settled in quite a bit over time since being at the rescue, and her favorite place is laying on a cat tree not too far from Frankie, or next to Frankie wherever he is.  When she's laying in a cat tree she is much more approachable for pets than when she may be on the floor.  You will need to approach her slowly to make her feel trusting of you.   Together, they’re looking for a home without the stress of other cats or dogs, or children.  You can always find them laying together, or not too far from each other.  It's so cute... If you're ready to open your heart to this adorable duo, they're eagerly awaiting your visit! Story
Baby - Female DOB 2/26/2021 Domestic Short Hair Black - Meet Baby!  Where are our shy cat lovers? Come meet Baby and Finn! Baby is the epitome of sweetness. She loves nothing more than receiving gentle pets and will even roll around in her bed with delight when she's being showered with attention. While she may be shy initially, her loving nature shines through once she feels comfortable in her surroundings.  This gentle soul would thrive in a calm and peaceful environment without the hustle and bustle of kids or dogs. She's perfectly content to spend her days lounging in a sunny spot by the window, especially if there's a cozy cat tree for her to perch on and watch the world go by. Baby has a condition called Stomatitis.  Stomatitis can be a very painful condition, resulting from inflammation of the mouth tissue.  The condition requires treatment and this is normally done with either a partial or a full mouth extraction of the teeth, depending on the severity. Baby has had two dentals done, with a full mouth extraction.  She still loves her Sheba wet food and will nibble occassionally on dry food as well. Although Baby may take a little time to settle into her new home, she will need to go home with her kitty friend, Finn. Baby is low maintenance and doesn't require a lot of attention, but she absolutely adores it when she receives it. She's the type of companion who will quietly appreciate your presence and cherish the moments you spend together.   Currently, Baby is sharing the quiet room with others and has taken a liking to another shy cat,  Finn. They have become quite bonded and we would love to see them go home together!  The duo will often be seen together laying under an overturned bed cuddled up together. They will groom each other and bask is their newly found friendship! No dogs or kids would be best for them. Story
Finn - Male Neutered DOB 5/30/2021 Domestic Short Hair Black/Tan & White Tabby - Meet Finn! Finn is a gentle, shy three-year-old guy searching for a calm, patient forever home. He thrives best in a tranquil environment without children but is a great candidate for living with another friendly female kitty companion. Finn loves to spend his time hidden under a blanket or cat bed, feeling safe in his cozy spots. However, with a bit of encouragement, he blossoms. He responds with soft meows when you lift his bed and talk to him, basking in your affection; it's so endearing! Finn also enjoys coming out from under his overturned kitty bed, rolling over for pets and belly rubs. Adapting to a new home will take Finn some time, so patience and understanding are key to helping him feel secure and loved. His ideal home would offer quiet surroundings, sunny windows for him to lounge by, and no dogs or children. With love and time, Finn is sure to transform into a devoted and loving companion.  Currently, Finn is sharing the quiet room with others and has taken a liking to another shy cat,  Baby. Story
Butch - Male DOB 1/31/2023 Domestic Short Hair Grey & White -   Butch, a striking young guy not quite two years old, has been through a lot in his short life. Rescued from a heartbreaking hoarding situation in North Carolina, he lived in stacked cages, often soaked in urine and feces, and spent six long months in a shelter awaiting court proceedings. Understandably, Butch was terrified when he was finally released and initially wouldn't let anyone touch him. With time, love, and patience, Butch started to warm up. His southern foster discovered that calling him "pretty boy" in a soft, baby-talk voice helped break through his tough exterior. Soon, he allowed pets and chin rubs and even started sitting on his foster mom's lap for head scratches. While he hasn't fully shown this side at the rescue yet, his transformation proves that with the right person, Butch has so much love to give. Butch has made great progress while he's been at the rescue, learning to trust all the volunteers, who have definitely helped him settle in! He's a muscular, confident boy who doesn't always know his own strength. He gets along well with young kittens and enjoys playing with them, although he can sometimes play a little too rough. Butch tends to be more intimidating around older cats and has a strong Alpha personality, so he would do best in a home where he can either be the center of attention or live with a younger cat who can grow up alongside him.   Butch has taken a liking to another cute little panther kitten, Poppyseed, who is also in our quiet room together, and sometimes seen sleeping together.  Butch's calm demeanor seems to show he would do fine with older children, once he has time to settle in. As for dogs, it's best for Butch to live in a home without them. He loves to play and would thrive in an environment where he feels safe, loved, and understood. If you're looking for a special cat with a big heart who needs a little extra time to trust, Butch could be your perfect match. He's been through so much and deserves a loving home where he can finally feel secure.
