Story
Cali is a wonderful Calico cat. She loves to be both outside and inside. She will lay in the sun in our backyard on warm days. She is great with children and loves to be around her people. She is litter box trained and doesn't scratch much as long as you keep up on her nail clipping. She is not declawed. Cali does well with male dogs, but we adopted a female dog and the two personalities are not getting along. Cali is not aggressive, but both of our pets are experiencing a lot of anxiety and it isn't fair to either one. We want them to live in an environment where they feel safe and loved. Cali is looking for a wonderful family who is looking for a friendly, calm, and personable cat to add to their home.

Story
Daisy is a gentle, quiet, loving older kitty who deserves her very own humans to cherish.  She has been a mother to kittens, adopted and later surrendered by a family due to allergies, adopted again and later surrendered because she became diabetic and she is now back in a foster home with Heartland.  Even though she requires two shots a day, she is the lowest maintenance kitty of all the fosters in the home.   Daisy loves looking out the window observing nature.  She loves having her hair brushed and laying with her foster mom.  She may do best in a quiet home as an only kitty and will give you headbutts to show you her love.  Daisy is currently stable on her daily medicine and is easy to care for. She is spayed, microchipped, tested negative for FIV and FeLV and is current on vaccinations.  If you are looking for a companion who shows unconditional love, Daisy is your girl.      November 5, 2024, 10:31 am

Story
Annabelle and her brothers, Chucky and Freddy, were living at a feral cat colony in the city.  Our friends with St. Louis Feral Cat Outreach trapped them while doing TNR (trap/neuter/return) on some feral cats and realized that these babies were too young to go back.  Fortunately, one of our awesome rescue friends agreed to take them in and socialize them for us until we had space.  All three kitties are very long and lean and have smooth, sleek coats.  Because they were caught when they were a bit older, they are shy and timid initially and need time to build trust with new people.  Once they get to know you, they are little love bugs and will climb all over your lap and purr as soon as you pet them.  They do startle at loud noises and sudden movement and will hide from people they do not know.  However, they are docile as can be and do not have a mean bone in their bodies.  Annabelle is the most petite of the group and she has the cutest face with big round eyes.  She is the biscuit maker of the group and purrs contently while kneading her blankie when she's really happy.  All three kitties LOVE canned food and will come running as soon as they hear the can open.  They adore other cats and seek comfort from them, so they must not be only kitties in their new homes.  Because they are more timid in nature, they would do best in a quieter home without kids and with patient owners who will give them the time that they need to settle in to their new surroundings and gain confidence.  I promise they are worth it as they truly are sweet, loving and affectionate kitties!  Annabelle is spayed, microchipped, current on vaccinations and negative for FeLV/FIV; DOB 10/5/18 (tag # 11248JB).November 5, 2024, 10:31 am

Story
Ubbe, Male, 2yrs, orange and white tabby Part of bonded pair (brother Bjorn). Ubbe is generally a pretty laid back guy, though he is usually up for adventures with his brother, Bjorn. they are for sure two peas in a pod and where one goes, the other is not far behind. Bjorn and Ubbe are good with dogs of all sizes. Though they live in a multiple cat household currently, Bjorn and Ubbe would do best as only cats in the home, Bjorn especially has a tendency to be a bit of a bully to some other cats. They would prefer a home with no young kids (under12). Bjorn and Ubbe will only be considered for adoption in the Saint Louis metro area. Their combined adoption fee is $225.00 and they are fully vetted. Interested adopters need to submit an adoption application through our website, steppingstonebully.org, in order to be considered. Story
Sarah came from a terrible hoarding situation in Franklin County. She was born with some eye deformities that mean her eyes water constantly so they need to be wiped often. Sarah is shy and nervous at first but after a short time she will come out of her shell. She does very well around children, cats and dogs. She might prefer a quiet home. She can be very playful at times and loves to cuddle up with her foster dad at night. Sarah is spayed and up to date on her shots. Heartland ID 13001 EG/JB November 5, 2024, 10:31 am
