Story

Tilly is an amazing cat. She has been with me for almost 6 years. I adopted her as a kitten from the humane society in college. She is extremely sweet, but is very spunky and will only give you love when she chooses to, but when she does, she will cuddle the crap out of you. She doesn’t like to be picked up, but will plop on your lap for scratches. As a tortoiseshell, she is very opinionated on what she wants, when she wants. She also loves to nap in the sink and drink from the faucet. I am extremely saddened to rehome her, but my husband and I had to move in with family who doesn’t allow cats and we aren’t sure on our future home situation. We also just can’t afford her care any longer. She is currently with my sister-in-law but has been having trouble there as she is left alone for quite long periods and hasn’t adjusted well. She needs a home that will love on her, be patient with her, and that can afford to give her the proper care and time.

Delilah is all white except for a black tail and 2 spots on her head. The vet thinks she was born in 2019. Delilah is quiet, avoidant of strangers, friendly with her trusted persons, and affectionate on her terms. She accepts a little brushing on her back, shies from petting, and doesn’t want to be held. If there is no competition, she rolls over on her tummy when playing with wand toys and also plays by herself with toys. Delilah enjoys watching wildlife at the window. She gets along with male cats and is competitive with some girl cats. Delilah has not met dogs or kids under age nine. She enjoys the company of her calico daughter, Dotty. Delilah needs a patient adopter willing to give her time to trust and blossom to be the nice cat that she is. She uses a scratching post and has fine litterbox habits. This cat and others are available at Cat Tales Rescue. Cats have been vet checked, spayed/neutered, wormed, tested for FIV/FeLV, have distemper and rabies shots. 3 yr, 5 months Dotty and her mom, Delilah, were found abandoned at a farm and turned over to Rescue. Dotty, a beautiful calico, was born around May 2020. She is quiet, affectionate on her terms with trusted people, and avoidant of strangers. Dotty enjoys window watching and playing with wand toys as long as there is no competition. She is on the passive side and really enjoys Delilah’s companionship. Dotty likes a little bit of petting and brushing. She does not like being picked up and prefers to sit near you. She gets along with most cats. Dotty has not met dogs, nor kids under age nine, but if they are gentle and quiet she will be fine. Sunshine, a male orange tabby was born around April 2020. He was found by a resident and turned into the Rescue. He occasionally talks at meal times. Sunny hasn’t met dogs or kids under age eight. With proper introductions he gets along with most cats and he’d enjoy another cat for a pal. The foster mom says he is sweet, smart, friendly with known people, and affectionate on his terms. Dilly, an affectionate brown/black tabby kitten, was born July 2023. He was found injured behind a store. Dilly has agouti speckled fur and polydactyl feet. If he knows you, he is okay being picked up and held, plus reaches up to touch your nose. When you sit, he will jump in to your lap or will let you place him in your lap, staying for short sessions of petting and brushing. Dilly often rolls over for tummy stroking, and he likes to sleep with you. Dilly likes the foster family’s young dog and plays with him. He likes kittens plus passive adult female cats. He hides from active kids and is shy around strangers. Dilly likes to supervise the cleaning of the litterbox and occasionally is underfoot. He has fine litterbox habits and uses a scratching post.
