Story
Iggy is around 11 years old and she has lived with us since 2014. She is a great cat but she does not get along with our dog or other dogs, and with an infant in the house, we can’t have the cat and dog fighting with each other. We’re only looking to rehome Iggy for child safety reasons. She loves human attention, loves to play, and loves to go out in the yard. She has all of her claws intact.

Story
Melody is a very sweet and affectionate gal! Melody is approximately 5 years old and would likely do better as the only cat in the home. As she has adjusted to her foster home, she has shown quite the personality. She loves receiving lots and lots of pets. She rubs against us and things in our home often. She is also quite vocal and talkative. She likes having “conversations.” She loves to be brushed, enjoys playing a little fetch! Melody enjoys looking out windows and climbing to high places in our home. She is also a big fan of scratching boards! At the end of a long day, Melody likes to snuggle up with you, either falling asleep on your back or chest, or somewhere on your pillow. Melody would love to join a home where she can receive lots of attention and be your companion! She allows me to trim her nails and can be picked up, though she prefers not to be carried. She is good around dogs and new people, as well. *More information and photos added over time. Adoption application: https://forms.gle/cKD19YHqxKpvT1VQ6 *We only adopt and foster our animals within a 60 mile radius from New Brighton, MN* All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment. You can contact us through our website at http://legendsrescue.org/index.php/contact/ or visit our facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LegendsRescue/ if you have further questions or would like to schedule a meet and greet. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application at http://legendsrescue.org/index.php/adopt/forms/ FOSTER CARE: Our rescues are fostered in individual homes or at our facility. We work hard to ensure that our rescues have a supportive family while at foster homes to help them move forward and get ready for their forever home. We work on training, crate-training and socialization before a dog is adopted out. Foster homes are extremely important to the success of the cat at their forever home, and it is extremely rewarding to be able to watch the cats growth as you help them on their journey to their happy ending. If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please fill out our application at http://legendsrescue.org/index.php/adopt/foster-application/ YOU CAN HELP: If you’re not able to foster or adopt right now, please consider sponsoring a Legend. Your donation will help with our care and pay for medical costs. Visit this link http://legendsrescue.org/index.php/donate/ to donate

Story
Gigi is the sweetest tabby cat. She’s two years old and the reason I adopted her from the humane society was because she reminded me of my first cat that passed away and I thought my other cat would like another playmate. She doesn’t cuddle much, but she will love pets, loves talking with you, and will always follow you. Unfortunately I need to rehome her because my other cat gets bullied by her. She is the sweetest cat and she will come with a carrier, a litter box, and a feeding bowl stand. I just want her to live a happy life and to be with the right person. It is recommended she doesn’t be homed with other cats.

Story
Meet Sky. Sky came into rescue after being found roaming by a good Samaritan. Most kitties have their quirks, so with that being said, Sky needs to be the only girl in your life. She can get accustomed to pups, but overall prefers to be alone. She doesn't like other kitties but has plenty of personality for you to love! She loves sunbathing on the couch, watching the birds out the window and is obsessed with her Catnip toys.  Sky I think would do best in an empty nester home or an elderly couple (or single) home where she just gets constant love and attention. Sky is only around 2-ish years old, sweet, vocal, affectionate and is ready for her purrfect home.   Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Distemper (PCR) vaccines appropriate to age, Feline leukemia/FIV/HW test, heartworm, ear mite and flea/tick preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $225  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 7, 2024, 10:14 pm

He will REQUIRE a kitty friend in his forever home.  He enjoys toys and treats. When he is comfortable he enjoys getting pet and asks for attention.  However he will need his new home to continue to work with him on his socializaiton so he can be his happiest best self.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called 'cute' as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.  *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. //
