Story
MARBLE / 11 YEARS / DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR CAT Marble came to Grey Face due to her owner passing away. She loves her naps, laying on the floor and getting the occasional catnip treat. Marble was extremely overweight when she first came to Grey Face, so she's  looking for someone that can continue to pay attention to her diet and feed her on a regular schedule, as well as encourage her to stay active. Marble also likes to be brushed and snuggle by your side. She would love multiple scratching posts and maybe some indoor grass, as she did go outside occasionally with her prior owner and loved the grass.  Dogs: No - Marble is very afraid of dogs. Cats: Yes Kids: Yes, older children Health Concerns: None If you're interested in adopting Marble, please fill out a foster application here:  http://www.greyfacerescue.org/availablecats September 17, 2024, 7:28 pm

Story
My name is Fiona! I'm a sweet kitten, about a year old, who LOVES lap cuddles, pets, and hanging out. I'm a curious thing, and I love exploring my area - though be careful, I'm also curious about your food ;) I'm very well litter trained, and take care of my business like the little princess I am. I'm kinda still learning what play is - sometimes I'll take the bait, sometimes I won't. If you place some toys strategically around the area, you might find me playing with one, if it tickles my fancy. Sometimes I might find a random object that looks like fun and play with that. At night, I like the idea of sleeping with you at your feet, but if that's not your jam, I am perfectly fine sleeping on the floor too. As a lil kit, I still get a second wind at about 3am, but I calm down pretty quick if I need to, and I'll curl up and sleep. I'm definitely a sweet kitten who loves love!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. *This animal is a part of our “Seniors for Seniors” program where we offer senior adopters an opportunity to adopt an eligible pet at a discounted fee.* Hi, I’m Poika! I’m a sweet gentleman who is looking for a loving home! I love being pet and brushed and will reward you with purrs and rubbing my head on you.  The  quickest way to my heart is brushes, though !  I’m not a big toy guy - when I’m not being pet and hanging out with humans, I like to relax in my cat bed and look out the window. I prefer a calmer home environment - I get along with friendly, mellow cats, but high-engery pets or pets who fight stress me out.  I happen to be diabetic, but it is easily managed with twice-daily insulin injections, which are easy to give in the scruff of my neck. I don’t mind them at all! Eating a low-carb diet is important for managing diabetes, and my foster mom would be happy to tell you more about it.  A little history: Poika was surrendered to a shelter due to his then undiagnosed health issues. Once in the shelter, it was discovered that he is diabetic. We do not know how long that went untreated, but once treated, he has improved in great strides! Initially he could not walk or stand very well, his limbs were skinny and his belly was big. After only a few weeks, he started walking and jumping again! His body is much more proportionate, his eyes are clearer, and he seems so happy! We are uncovering his true personality through managing his health and well being, and it is a true gift! Poika is undergoing treatment for Diabetes.  Poika is from a local impound. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. *This animal is a part of our “Seniors for Seniors” program where we offer senior adopters an opportunity to adopt an eligible pet at a discounted fee.* What can I say? I'm searching for someone truly special. Are you a caretaker at heart? Do you have a soft spot for the underdog, or in this case, under-kitty? Well, please read on. My name is Grizzly. I was adopted as a tiny kitten and lived happily with my family until that unfortunate divorce. Since then, I've been bounced around from place to place, which has been hard and stressful for me. At some point, I put on some extra pounds, but now I'm on a weight loss plan and have already shed some weight. Yay! I'll need someone who can support me on my weight loss journey. Being overweight, I have some mobility limitations—I struggle with jumping onto furniture and prefer a lower-sided litterbox. Another issue is that I'm incontinent with my bowel movements. It's not behavioral; rather, I sometimes can't make it in time or am unaware it's happening, or perhaps a combination of both. If you can see past my challenges, you'll find I have the best personality. I'm shy at first, but then I blossom into a sweet, tubby gentleman. I adore tummy rubs, chin scratches, and being brushed. I'm also quite tolerant of having all my many nails trimmed. Do you have room in your heart for a calm, couch-napping, sweet chubby kitty? Grizzly is from an owner surrender.
