Story
Moo is a good girl. She likes only small dogs not a fan of big dogs so please don’t adopt her if you have them. She’s affectionate when she wants to be but only on her terms. She’s not good with other cats, we would also like someone who’s close and we can get updates on her as this is hard for my 12 year old daughter to accept.

Story
“Some people make the world special just by being in it.” – Selffa.com. I’ll bet you’re a special person, aren’t you? I think I’m special too. I’m a cute, lovable seven-year-old black and white kitty boy called Carson. My people named me Bruce, but since being returned to the shelter, I’ve been called by my original name, Carson. I was an affectionate, energetic kitten. In my home, I liked my alone time, but I enjoyed receiving affection and petting. I really bonded with the disabled adult son in the home. I may have understood him, I guess. See, I’m different from many kitties. I have pica. Some kitties get it (people too). It means that we eat things we shouldn’t. In my case, I chew on cloth – blankets, soft toys, and things like that. It can be very dangerous, as I found out the hard way. I get lots of TLC from staff and volunteers here at the shelter! I am always up for playing with them, or on my own. I love playing with water under the faucet! I can play with plastic balls and all sorts of toys that I can’t chew or swallow, and I can be comfortable in a space without blankets. I trust that you are loving, smart, creative, and capable of giving me the kind of care that a special boy like me needs. Give me a window where I can watch the birds and squirrels and soak up the sun. Let me soak up your love! I will be a happy Carson boy! Let’s share our special lives together!Adoption fee $50 + microchip fee $30 + tax

Story
“Petey! What’s up, Pup?” I’m Petey, a 3 ½ year-old black and white male who came to Paws and Claws when I was a kitten. I’m named for the dog on the “Little Rascals”. I was one of a group of felines who came to Paws and Claws from a home that had too many cats in October 2021 when we were all 6 months old. I was adopted four months later in February 2022. Now I’ve been returned three years later due to behavior issues that have cropped up in the past month. I had a good vet checkup when I returned to the shelter and have had no problems since I`ve been back, so it’s not clear to people here what was causing my problems. I love toys and I am affectionate. I cuddled and slept with my person. I was fine with the passive, mellow dog in my home. I was eating Purina Cat Chow Complete. I’m a sweet boy, and I know that you’ll go “mutts” for Petey!Adoption fee $100 + microchip fee $30 + tax

Story
“People where you live,` the little prince said, `grow five thousand roses in one garden... yet they don`t find what they`re looking for...And yet what they`re looking for could be found in a single rose...` And the little prince added, `But eyes are blind. You have to look with the heart.” - Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, `The Little Prince`. My name is Razzmatazz. If you’ve seen my name before, it’s because I’ve been here a while. I came from a hoarding situation in April 2022. I’m one of the “Crayola Cats.” The color “Razzmatazz” is a crimson-rose. That’s too jazzy for a kitty like me, but a rose is a beautiful flower. I’m a 6-year-old black female, who, like the many other cats who lived in that home, is very shy around people, but I was adopted six months later. My person tried to make me feel at home, and I was making a bit of progress. I was playing some and accepting petting while I ate. But because I’m not outwardly affectionate or a snuggly lap cat, I was returned this January. I do enjoy the company of other cats. Staff have seen me playing with a kitten named Clover, and often adult cats don’t have that kind of patience! I love sitting in the window with other cats, and on occasion, I will let a human get close to me when I’m relaxing. I was called Cookie in my home, but no matter what you call me, I am a sweet girl who deserves to be in a loving home. Are you a patient person who can give me all the space and time I need to feel comfortable? I would do best with another cat, maybe my kitten friend Clover. Look with your heart. See ME. Razzmatazz. A single, unique rose. As it says in “The Little Prince,” “It`s the time you spent on your rose that makes your rose so important...People have forgotten this truth, but you mustn`t forget it. You become responsible forever for what you`ve tamed. You`re responsible for your rose.” Spend quiet time in the presence of Razzmatazz. Sense my gentle nature with your cat-whisperer’s heart.Adoption fee $100 + microchip fee $30 + tax

Story
Two years ago, when I was a small kitten, I was found with my mama and my two brothers near a driveway in SW Rochester one night. A woman arrived home, took us in, warmed us up, and fed us. When no one in the neighborhood claimed us, she took us to Paws and Claws. We were all named for members of her family. I’m Chris, a grey tabby boy who was adopted in February 2023, but now I’m back at the shelter. Why? You’ve heard the phrase, “fighting like cats and dogs”? I didn’t fight with the two dogs in my home, but they made me nervous. I had litter box issues, and my owner felt that it was due to having to share my home with dogs. I did okay with the cat in my home. I am a calm cat, but I did not do well around dogs. I can be affectionate; I occasionally like to sit on laps and snuggle at bedtime. I liked sleeping with my people, and I do well with children. I’ve been eating Purina Cat Chow. I’m really a good boy, and I know I can be happy in a home where I don`t have to be concerned about dogs. Please give me a chance at love and bliss! Adopt me to be your kitty cat, Chris!Adoption fee $100 + microchip fee $30 + tax
