Story
Hi, I`m Iva!I first came to Pet Angel when I was a kitten in 2018, and was adopted that year. I lived almost 3 years with my first former family, but they weren`t able to care for me properly, and when I got sick in 2022, they brought me back to Pet Angel. Pet Angel nursed me back to health, and I was up for adoption for over a year before I was adopted by my second family. Unforuntely, the cat my second family already had did not accept me. I was in the home for 6 months, and she wasn’t a fan of me, so my second family returned me to Pet Angel in December of 2023. Now, I’m on the hunt for my 3rd home, and this time, my forever home.I`m not going to lie, I have some emotional baggage that I carry from my former homes and it takes me some time to build trust with a new human. Once I get to know you, I just love you. I roll over for belly rubs, I`ll come sit on your lap, and I just purr SOOO loud. But it takes me some time to get to that point. Most of the time, I`m hiding in my hidey hole, and in my former home, I spent a lot of time hiding. I`m praying I can find owners who have a quiet home that makes me feel safe, so I feel comfortable coming out of hiding and exploring. I wish for a human who will show me kindness, love, and gentle cuddles. Somebody who will sit with me and coax me out when I am scared, and reassure me that nothing scary will happen to me here. I promise, once I know I`m safe, You will just LOVE me! But I need to feel safe to open up! I love belly rubs, treats and wet food! I also enjoy yeowww toys and watching cat tv on youtube (Abby plays it for me on her phone!)I am looking for a quiet, indoor only home with no dogs or children. I would do well with another laid back, shy, quiet cat, but wouldn`t mesh well with a hyper one that will try to wrestle with me. I really hope I can find the person who can teach me what love TRULY is, and I hope that person is you! If you`d like to meet me, please submit an application at https://petangeladoption.com/adopt-a-cat

Story
This is Barbie! Due to an injury in her past, She currently has a handicap and am on the hunt for a family who can accommodate her handicap and allow her to live life to its fullest!Barbie LOOOOVES to talk, and always has something to say to her human friends! She enjoys getting pets more than anything else in this world, and ALWAYS wants you to pet her- and never stop! She loves catnip toys (yeowww bananas are her favorite) and love to bat at stick toys! She love to adventure around, even with her limp! She is a biiiiig fan of wet food and cat treats! She enjoys her fluffy cat beds, and loves to lay inside hidey holes! She enjoy being brushed, and loves to sit on your lap! But watch out, once she’s in your lap, you’re not allowed to get up! She will yell at you if you try!Barbie arrived to Pet Angel in August of 2023 with a broken hind leg from Genessee County Animal Control. They asked Pet Angel to take her because when She arrived to them with a broken leg, their vet believed she would need that leg amputated and GCAC believed Pet Angel would be more equipped to helping her go through leg amputation surgery. Upon arrival to Pet Angel, she went directly to Pet Angel’s vet, who was able to save her leg! Which means, she didn’t have to have it amputated! Instead, she had her leg put into a cast where it had to be completely straight as it healed, and was in that cast for a month! But she got to keep her leg, and that made the hassle of the cast all worth it! After the cast was removed from her leg, Barbie went through Physical Therapy at the vet to begin to use that leg again. At first, she didn’t put any weight on the once-broken-leg at all, but with time, she began using it again! And that’s where her handicap comes in.Right now, Barbie still limps, but does not allow it to limit her life! She jumps up high all the time- and we worry about her when she jumps down! As time goes on and her leg begins to heal, the limp may go away as she regains muscle in the leg. But also, there is a chance that she may have a permanent limp for the rest of her life. So, she is hoping to find a owner who will accept a cat with a limp, and will provide pet staircases in the home so she can still look out windows, lay on the couch, and sleep in bed with you!Barbie does not like other animals, and is looking for a home where she will be the only animal. Due to her handicap, she needs a home with either no children, or children over the age of 1

Story
Hi, my name is Vinnie! In November of 2023, I tried to break into the lobby of the Bavarian Inn Lodge! The COO of the Lodge, Jim Engel, is a founder of Pet Angel, so the employees of the Lodge took me to Jim’s office and I spent the day with him, and then he brought me to the rescue! Pet Angel went on a hunt to find my family, and found out that I’ve been a stray cat living on the streets of Frankenmuth most of my life! A family just south of Mobil in Frankenmuth was caring for me as their stray, but weren’t able to bring me inside and keep me, so I become a Pet Angel cat! Pet Angel got me fully vetted, and I’m finally ready to be a housecat! I heard being a house cat is way better than living on the streets, and I’m excited to find my very own (and first ever) home!I love to play! With toys, with people, with strings hanging off your hoodie, and with anyting I can turn into a toy! I love to wrestle with my human friends, and will play with you rough! I enjoy attention, love to rub up against your ankles, and enjoy rolling around on my favorite rug! I love ALL types of cat toys- jingle balls, and yeowww toys, and felt mice, and foil balls, springs and pom poms are some of my favorites! I get very excited when you bring the stick toy out to play with me, because I love to chase after it! I am a big fan of canned food, and love treats VERY much! I am an alpha cat, and like to be dominate, so sometimes I will reach out and grab my human friends when they walk by, so I hope to find humans who can put up with a saucy guy like me!I haven’t met the other kitties at Pet Angel because most of them are shy or have special needs, and I am a cat who likes to wrestle and play. I would likely get along with another cat that would be submissive and like to play, but if you have another alpha cat, we would likely not get along. Since I lived as an outside cat for so long, I had to avoid dogs most of my life, and dogs make me nervous. I would be best suited for a home with no dogs. Additionally, I like to play with my humans and am rough, so I would be best in a home with children over the age 12.I am looking for a strictly indoor only home, with a family who will NEVER let me outside! I lived on the streets for long enough, and am excited to transition into a spoiled house cat! I have never had a family before, and can’t wait to find the humans who will love me until the end of time! I am fixed, microchipped, up to date on all my shots, and

Story
Hi, My name is Muffin! Over Christmas Weekend of 2023, my family was evicted from their apartment. After the holiday, the apartment complex came into the empty unit to clean it out for the next tenant, and they found me. I was left inside the empty apartment from before Christmas Eve until the apartment complex finding me after Christmas Day. The apartment complex manager kept me in her office over New Years, and then contacted Pet Angel, who graciously took me in. I had nothing left in the apartment- no food, water, litterbox, toys, beds- anything. I wasn’t vetted, and I was so afraid when I got to Pet Angel. But they have taken the time to get me checked out, and spent months working with me on socialization. Right now (June of 2024) I am working on becoming a free roam cat, and hope to be free roam, living with other adult cats by the beginning of July! I am a sweet, quiet, gentle soul. I don’t like a busy environment or a lot of people. I enjoy hidey holes, fluffy beds, and yeowww toys! I like cat treats, and enjoy being brushed! I am very nervous when it comes to adventuring around, but once I get home and am given ample time to settle into my new home, I will bloom! I am shy to strangers, but love you once I get to know you! I would be a great lap cat, but need to give time to adjust! I am fixed, microchipped, up to date on all my shots, and negative for FIV/FELV. I am looking for a strictly indoor-only home where I will not travel unless it is to and from the vet. I would do good in a CALM home. If you have a busy home with lots of other pets, family members, or visitors, I would not thrive in your home. I would prefer a home with a small family with older children or no children. I would do okay with other cats or a calm dog. Story
Hello, my name is Bob! But don’t let my name fool you- I’m a lady! I was adopted from Pet Angel with another kitty when I was a kitten. Her name was Shishka, so together, we were “Shishka Bob!” Shishka and I were surrendered to Pet Angel at the end of 2023 when our owners living situation changed. Shishka and I are not bonded, so even though we came in together, Shishka was already adopted.I am a quiet, reserved soul most of the time, but once you get to know me, I am beyond the most loving cat you’ll meet! I like to spend my time snuggled in a bed, but I am always so excited when you come to give me love. I just melts into your hand, and get so happy I’ll starts to drool! I would love to curl up on your lap while you watch TV, and snuggle with you in bed each night. I am easy going, mellow, and while I’m on the shy-er side, I am SUCH a lover!I am looking for a quiet, strictly-indoor only home with no other pets!!! I need a human who likes to snuggle, but won’t wrestle with me. I have so much love to give, but will need a slow introduction to my new home, as I’m almost 10 years old, so new surroundings is a lot for me to take in. Additionally, I do not travel well and will be overwhelmed when you first get me home. Give me 2 weeks in my own room and some time to decompress and get to know you, and you’ll be wondering how you ever lived your life without me!I am fixed, microchipped, up to date on all their shots, negative for FIV/FELV and front paw declawed. I would be ideal for a couple who has children who have moved out of the home, a single person who wants a special companion, or an older couple or person who wants a sweet kitty to spoil. Story
Hi, My name is Graham! I was transferred to Pet Angel from another organization because I am a high stress cat. When I arrived to the other organization, whom also houses dogs, I was so afraid I lost all my fur. No seriously- I was a naked cat. The anxiety of being in loud building with so many dogs stressed me out so bad I lost all my fur, and they took me to the vet thinking I had a skin condition. The vet was able to figure out it was from stress, and agreed to keep me in her clinic in a low-stress environment so I could grow my fur back. Once my fur was mostly grown back in (as of right now, I’m still a little patchy on my ears and my back legs. A lot of people think I am a black cat with tabby strips, but the vet says that’s just the way my fur is growing back in!) they asked Pet Angel to take me. Pet Angel is a specialized cat only rescue that focuses on bonded pair, extra-need, shy and elderly cats, so there are no dogs here and much calmer environment. Since arriving to Pet Angel, I’ve been doing quite well, but they also have given me ample time to adjust without stress, so I haven’t lost any more of my fur! YAY! While I am a nervous boy, I am the biggest lover and I just adore humans! I usually spend my time inside my favorite hidey hole bed, or the circle tunnel in my free roam room, but if you coax me out, I will come out for all the attention! I love to be with you! I start to drool as soon as you start petting me! I love to sit on your lap, and never want you to stop petting me! I do good with the other mellow cats that I live with, and enjoy that they don’t try to wrestle with me! They’re good company! I am hoping to find a mellow family to take me home with them! Since I am a high-stress cat, I’m hoping to find a low-stress home! One where I can stay strictly indoors and will not travel, have lots of places to hide if I want to, and do not have a lot of other animals or children in the home. If your home is busy, I will not thrive there. I am the biggest lover, and if you have a quiet home, you’re going to wonder how you lived without me for so long!!! I am fixed, microchipped, and up to date on all my shots, and I am negative for FIV/FELV! I would love to meet you!
