Story
This is Barbie! Due to an injury in her past, She currently has a handicap and am on the hunt for a family who can accommodate her handicap and allow her to live life to its fullest!Barbie LOOOOVES to talk, and always has something to say to her human friends! She enjoys getting pets more than anything else in this world, and ALWAYS wants you to pet her- and never stop! She loves catnip toys (yeowww bananas are her favorite) and love to bat at stick toys! She love to adventure around, even with her limp! She is a biiiiig fan of wet food and cat treats! She enjoys her fluffy cat beds, and loves to lay inside hidey holes! She enjoy being brushed, and loves to sit on your lap! But watch out, once she’s in your lap, you’re not allowed to get up! She will yell at you if you try!Barbie arrived to Pet Angel in August of 2023 with a broken hind leg from Genessee County Animal Control. They asked Pet Angel to take her because when She arrived to them with a broken leg, their vet believed she would need that leg amputated and GCAC believed Pet Angel would be more equipped to helping her go through leg amputation surgery. Upon arrival to Pet Angel, she went directly to Pet Angel’s vet, who was able to save her leg! Which means, she didn’t have to have it amputated! Instead, she had her leg put into a cast where it had to be completely straight as it healed, and was in that cast for a month! But she got to keep her leg, and that made the hassle of the cast all worth it! After the cast was removed from her leg, Barbie went through Physical Therapy at the vet to begin to use that leg again. At first, she didn’t put any weight on the once-broken-leg at all, but with time, she began using it again! And that’s where her handicap comes in.Right now, Barbie still limps, but does not allow it to limit her life! She jumps up high all the time- and we worry about her when she jumps down! As time goes on and her leg begins to heal, the limp may go away as she regains muscle in the leg. But also, there is a chance that she may have a permanent limp for the rest of her life. So, she is hoping to find a owner who will accept a cat with a limp, and will provide pet staircases in the home so she can still look out windows, lay on the couch, and sleep in bed with you!Barbie does not like other animals, and is looking for a home where she will be the only animal. Due to her handicap, she needs a home with either no children, or children over the age of 1

Story
Hi, my name is Vinnie! In November of 2023, I tried to break into the lobby of the Bavarian Inn Lodge! The COO of the Lodge, Jim Engel, is a founder of Pet Angel, so the employees of the Lodge took me to Jim’s office and I spent the day with him, and then he brought me to the rescue! Pet Angel went on a hunt to find my family, and found out that I’ve been a stray cat living on the streets of Frankenmuth most of my life! A family just south of Mobil in Frankenmuth was caring for me as their stray, but weren’t able to bring me inside and keep me, so I become a Pet Angel cat! Pet Angel got me fully vetted, and I’m finally ready to be a housecat! I heard being a house cat is way better than living on the streets, and I’m excited to find my very own (and first ever) home!I love to play! With toys, with people, with strings hanging off your hoodie, and with anyting I can turn into a toy! I love to wrestle with my human friends, and will play with you rough! I enjoy attention, love to rub up against your ankles, and enjoy rolling around on my favorite rug! I love ALL types of cat toys- jingle balls, and yeowww toys, and felt mice, and foil balls, springs and pom poms are some of my favorites! I get very excited when you bring the stick toy out to play with me, because I love to chase after it! I am a big fan of canned food, and love treats VERY much! I am an alpha cat, and like to be dominate, so sometimes I will reach out and grab my human friends when they walk by, so I hope to find humans who can put up with a saucy guy like me!I haven’t met the other kitties at Pet Angel because most of them are shy or have special needs, and I am a cat who likes to wrestle and play. I would likely get along with another cat that would be submissive and like to play, but if you have another alpha cat, we would likely not get along. Since I lived as an outside cat for so long, I had to avoid dogs most of my life, and dogs make me nervous. I would be best suited for a home with no dogs. Additionally, I like to play with my humans and am rough, so I would be best in a home with children over the age 12.I am looking for a strictly indoor only home, with a family who will NEVER let me outside! I lived on the streets for long enough, and am excited to transition into a spoiled house cat! I have never had a family before, and can’t wait to find the humans who will love me until the end of time! I am fixed, microchipped, up to date on all my shots, and

Story
Hi, My name is Muffin! Over Christmas Weekend of 2023, my family was evicted from their apartment. After the holiday, the apartment complex came into the empty unit to clean it out for the next tenant, and they found me. I was left inside the empty apartment from before Christmas Eve until the apartment complex finding me after Christmas Day. The apartment complex manager kept me in her office over New Years, and then contacted Pet Angel, who graciously took me in. I had nothing left in the apartment- no food, water, litterbox, toys, beds- anything. I wasn’t vetted, and I was so afraid when I got to Pet Angel. But they have taken the time to get me checked out, and spent months working with me on socialization. Right now (June of 2024) I am working on becoming a free roam cat, and hope to be free roam, living with other adult cats by the beginning of July! I am a sweet, quiet, gentle soul. I don’t like a busy environment or a lot of people. I enjoy hidey holes, fluffy beds, and yeowww toys! I like cat treats, and enjoy being brushed! I am very nervous when it comes to adventuring around, but once I get home and am given ample time to settle into my new home, I will bloom! I am shy to strangers, but love you once I get to know you! I would be a great lap cat, but need to give time to adjust! I am fixed, microchipped, up to date on all my shots, and negative for FIV/FELV. I am looking for a strictly indoor-only home where I will not travel unless it is to and from the vet. I would do good in a CALM home. If you have a busy home with lots of other pets, family members, or visitors, I would not thrive in your home. I would prefer a home with a small family with older children or no children. I would do okay with other cats or a calm dog. Story
Hi, My name is Graham! I was transferred to Pet Angel from another organization because I am a high stress cat. When I arrived to the other organization, whom also houses dogs, I was so afraid I lost all my fur. No seriously- I was a naked cat. The anxiety of being in loud building with so many dogs stressed me out so bad I lost all my fur, and they took me to the vet thinking I had a skin condition. The vet was able to figure out it was from stress, and agreed to keep me in her clinic in a low-stress environment so I could grow my fur back. Once my fur was mostly grown back in (as of right now, I’m still a little patchy on my ears and my back legs. A lot of people think I am a black cat with tabby strips, but the vet says that’s just the way my fur is growing back in!) they asked Pet Angel to take me. Pet Angel is a specialized cat only rescue that focuses on bonded pair, extra-need, shy and elderly cats, so there are no dogs here and much calmer environment. Since arriving to Pet Angel, I’ve been doing quite well, but they also have given me ample time to adjust without stress, so I haven’t lost any more of my fur! YAY! While I am a nervous boy, I am the biggest lover and I just adore humans! I usually spend my time inside my favorite hidey hole bed, or the circle tunnel in my free roam room, but if you coax me out, I will come out for all the attention! I love to be with you! I start to drool as soon as you start petting me! I love to sit on your lap, and never want you to stop petting me! I do good with the other mellow cats that I live with, and enjoy that they don’t try to wrestle with me! They’re good company! I am hoping to find a mellow family to take me home with them! Since I am a high-stress cat, I’m hoping to find a low-stress home! One where I can stay strictly indoors and will not travel, have lots of places to hide if I want to, and do not have a lot of other animals or children in the home. If your home is busy, I will not thrive there. I am the biggest lover, and if you have a quiet home, you’re going to wonder how you lived without me for so long!!! I am fixed, microchipped, and up to date on all my shots, and I am negative for FIV/FELV! I would love to meet you! Please submit an application to meet me at https://petangeladoption.com/adopt-a-cat

Story
Hi, My name is Boo Boo! In the end of September, I appeared in a cat carrier around 10 pm on the side of the road in Frankenmuth. Somebody had posted about seeing me on facebook, so Pet Angel got tagged in the post, and one of Pet Angel’s volunteers who lived near by walked down to find me. They found me huddled in my cat carrier, with the door open, and tape on the top of the carrier that said “Boo-Boo.” The volunteers took me to Pet Angel, and I’ve been safe with them ever since, while they figured out the details of me being abandon. With what Pet Angel has gathered, my former owner moved out from the apartment complex I was found across the street from, and they left me in a carrier instead of taking me with them. My case was handed over to the authorities, and now I’m ready to find my new family- one that will NEVER leave me behind! I am just the most loving man you will ever meet! I love to roll over and get my belly rubbed, it’s my favorite thing in the whole world! I will just roll around on my back purring and begging you to pet my belly! I will head butt you, follow you around, and flop over asking you to (you guessed it) RUB MY BELLY!!! I love catnip toys, and my kitty hammock! I’m also a BIG fan of the yeowww catnip banana’s, I love to hold them with my front paws and kick them with my back paws! I was very nervous when I first got to Pet Angel (since I was just dumped in a tiny carrier on the side of the street and all) but after a few days, I just warmed right up and now I’m everyones biggest fan! I’ll for sure be a little nervous when you first bring me home, but give me 3 days, and you’ll be asking yourself how you ever lived your life without me! TRULY- we’re going to be BEST friends!! Pet Angel’s vet says I am two years old, and I’m already fixed! They got me up to date on my shots, I’m negative for FIV/FELV and I’m now microchipped! I’m looking for a strictly indoor-only home, and I get along great with other cats! I have not been tested with a dog, but Pet Angel thinks if you give me time and a proper introduction (which they will coach you on) I would get along with a dog too! I can’t wait to have owners who will love me and adore me, not leave me abandoned on the side of the road. If you’re ready to be my new family, please submit an application at https://petangeladoption.com/adopt-a-cat

Story
Hello! My name Is Ed, however, I am a girl! Yes, a girl named Ed! I was originally adopted as a kitten from Pet Angel with my biological brother, Rip, and another kitten we were raised with, Frankie. While in our home, Rip and I were not getting along with Frankie anymore, so Frankie moved to live with our former owners father, where he still is today. Unfortunately, Our owner wasn’t able to keep Rip and I either, and we came back to Pet Angel earlier this year. Rip and I only seem to get along with each other, and do not get along with other cats outside of each other. However, we are not bonded- he’s just the only other cat I’ll tolerate. So while we are not going up as a bonded pair, If you are open to two cats and don’t have other pets, I encourage you to check out my brother Rip too! But if you’re only wanting a single kitty, I would be great as a single cat! I am SUCH a lover! I adore people so much, and I’m a HUGE fan of cat treats! All I want all the time is pets and treats! I love to talk, and will always have something to say to you! “Professional Yapper” is what Pet Angel’s Director calls eme! I love to head butt your legs, follow you around for pets, and roll over for belly rubs! I am VERY affectionate! I am also INCREDIBLY soft- I take really good care of my fur! One fun fact about me is I love to chase my tail! I just don’t understand why that thing is ALWAYS behind me! I also sometimes get the zoomies, and MAD DASH around all over the place after a toy (usually a spring toy, crinkle ball, or yeowww toy!) I’m a BIG fan of treats- did I mention that?! I think I mentioned that but like…. I REALLY like cat treats. Like… a lot! You can’t even move the treat container without me DEMANDING you give me some! Like I said earlier, my biological brother Rip is the only cat I get along with. I have been tested with other cats, and will not accept them. I either need a home as a single cat or to be adopted with my brother Rip. I will not do well with a dog. I would do fantastic with children! I am looking for a strictly-indoor only home within the state of Michigan! I am fixed, microchipped, up to date on all my shots, and negative for FIV/FELV. I’m praying my forever family comes to get me soon! To start the process for a meet and greet, please submit an application at https://petangeladoption.com/adopt-a-cat
