January 2026 We're not sure why but sweet Macy is still waiting for her person or family. Her foster Mom says that Macy has come out of her shell! If you are looking for a cat who loves to cuddle and loves to purr, then Macy is your girl! She is about 3 years old and is spayed. She is shy at first and will require a patient family. However, once Macy is used to you-she will love you beyond measure! Macy loves to play and loves to be with her person. She has the sweetest little meow. Macy would do best without little children and does get along well with other cats with a proper introduction. 06/27/2025 Update Miss Macy continues to search for her forever family. If Macy had a shopping list for her purrfect home, she would be looking for a quiet home with patient adults as it will take her time to adjust to new surroundings. She would also like a home where her family would provide spaces for her to safely explore and investigate. While she would benefit from another kitty for companionship after a proper introduction, Macy would probably do best with a family who has no dogs. Davison, MI Hi my name is Macy! I get along with others that are calm (and have treats). My fur feels like velvet and you might fall asleep petting me. I can be shy at times so please be patient with me. Once I’m out of my shell though-I’m a pretty cool cat I'll be great in a home with other kitties. I'm not sure about dogs but probably an older, quieter dog would be fine. Located in Howell, MI, Mama is a very happy young lady who is talkative and loves attention. Some of her enjoyments include laying on your lap, nuzzling into the crook of your arm and making biscuits. She loves her food and uses her litter like a champ! She is fully vetted, spayed and negative for FeLV, FIV and Heartworm. Sadly, Mama came from a hoarding situation and had a very difficult adjustment once she came to Purrs Abound. For that reason, Mama is looking for a patient and understanding family. While Mama lived with numerous other cats in the hoarding home, we don't know how well she interacted with them. Mama's son is currently bunking with her in her foster home and, sadly, Mama doesn't really like him. With proper introductions, Mama may adjust well to a mild mannered resident kitty. Mama's foster Mom feels that Mama will do best in a home with older children who will learn and understand her boundaries as she can easily be overstimulated if you aren't paying attention. Mama has blossomed in her current foster's home and we feel that she is ready now to move on to a forever home where she can be the center of attention. My Mom and 4 sisters came to Purrs Abound when our Mother's rescuer could no longer care for us. I love to be in high places....that's why I was named Sky! I'm a natural-born climber who loves to explore high spaces to find perches. My ideal forever home will provide me with lots of high perch areas to explore without fear of breaking anything or being scolded. I am told that I am a mellow soul. That's true, as I love hanging out with the family and just watching from above but, depending on my mood, I also won't say no to pets when offered. I would love to be adopted with one of my family members who are also available. Otherwise, I've had experience living with all of my Mom and sisters but I have not been exposed to dogs. My Foster Mom thinks, though, that I may be okay with a low-energy doggie companion, especially one who is cat friendly. The same is true of children. Meet Luna, one of The Queens. She and her sisters had spent their whole lives with their mother's rescuer, basking in the warmth of a loving home, until unforeseen circumstances led them to the doors of animal control. Fortunately, Purrs Abound swooped in to orchestrate a second chance for Luna and five family members.
