Story
Age: 5 Years Weight: 17lbs Good with dogs? Yes Good with cats? Yes Good with kids? No Energy Level: Low Adoption Fee: Waived Any other info: Meet Boomer! This guy has been through so much stress and trauma in his life and is looking for a special adopter to help him gain his confidence again. To make a long story short, Boomer came to us with his siblings as feral little spicy kittens. After some time he warmed up and was adopted out with one of his brothers. A few years late we were notified that his adopters were trying to either surrender him or euthanize him at the humane society, so we picked him up. We aren't sure what life looked like for Boomer in the home but he has not been the same. He is incredibly fearful of all people but seems to love other cats. Surprisingly, we found a couple who wanted to give Boomer a chance. They had another cat who Boomer loved but he wasn't a big fan of the people. He unfortunately became blocked and had to have an emergency surgery to save his life. His family could not handle his medical needs and decided to return him. Once again he is sitting a shelter absolutely miserable. He is on a special urinary diet and doing well with that but he hates living in the shelter. We know it won't be easy, but we are hoping to find a very special adopter who will look past Boomers many flaws and take him home to give him some sort of life. Boomer would love to live in a home with other cats that he could make friends with. Our hope is that one day he would make friends with his people as well, but he isn't very open to that right now. Boomer is only 5 years old and has been through so much. He really needs to break out of the shelter and learn to live and be loved. Boomer is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. He is very handsome and has so much potential if someone would give him the chance. Could your family be the one for our sweet Boomer? He needs an angel. ------------------------------------------------ Our adoption fees include the pets spay or neuter, microchip, up to date vaccines, felv/fiv test and fecal check. Story
Age: 7 Years Weight: 10lbs Good with dogs? Unknown Good with cats? Yes Good with kids? No Energy Level: Moderate Adoption Fee: $37.50 FOR THE MONTH OF OCTOBER! (50%OFF) Any other info: Meet Georgie. In the quiet corners of memory, where sunbeams linger and forgotten whispers echo, there exists a tale of a long-haired cat named Georgie. His journey began with the innocence of a kitten—a tiny fluffball with eyes wide as saucers, adopted into a world of promise and warmth. He was adopted from us 7 years ago as a little kitten with another kitty into a wonderful home. Unfortunately as time went on, the other cat in the home began to bully Georgie relentlessly to the point where Georgie couldn't even safely come out of his hiding place. Because of that, Georgie has been returned to us so he can have another chance at a loving home where he can be treated the way he deserves. Georgie’s first home was a cozy haven, where he chased dust motes and curled up on sun-drenched windowsills. His fur, a cascade of silk, whispered secrets of moonlit escapades and midnight prowls. His purr, a gentle hum, promised companionship to anyone who cared to listen. But life, that fickle artist, painted unexpected strokes. Through no fault of his own, Georgie found himself back at the shelter—a bewildered traveler returned to a familiar crossroads. His whiskers twitched with uncertainty; his heart, once hopeful, now carried the weight of abandonment. In the shelter, Georgie’s days blur together—a symphony of cage bars and echoing meows. He watches from the top of his condo as others come and go, their footsteps fading like distant echoes. The world outside seems both tantalizingly close and impossibly far for this boy. Georgie, with his soulful eyes, yearned for a second chance—a patient hand to guide him back into the warmth of a home. But since coming back to us, Georgie is struggling to trust. He will watch you but if you get close he will hiss and swat all because he is scared. But we know this sweet boy has a heart of gold and just doesn't understand what's going on yet. Slowly, very slowly, he is starting to like a few cheek rubs here and there and he adores tasty treats. He used to wait until everyone was gone in the middle of the night to eat them, but lately he's been eating them in front of us and even taking them from our hands if we go really slow. Georgie’s Wishlist: A Quiet Corner: Georgie dreams of a sunbeam-kissed nook, where he can watch the seasons change and pretend he’s the guardian of forgotten stories. Whispers of Kindness: He craves soft words, spoken by someone who understands that trust takes time. Georgie’s heart, like a delicate origami crane, unfolds slowly. Gentle Hands: Georgie’s fur begs for gentle strokes—the kind that unravel knots and weave new beginnings. He longs for a touch that says, “You’re safe now.” His Quirks: Window Watcher: Georgie perches on the windowsill, eyes fixed on the horizon. Perhaps he’s waiting for the one who’ll see beyond his fur and into his soul. His Secret Wish: Georgie dreams of a human who’ll understand that he’s not broken—just a little weathered. Someone who’ll offer patience, a warm lap, and whispered promises. Together, they’ll write a new chapter—one where Georgie’s whiskers twitch with contentment, and the echoes of abandonment fade into oblivion. So, dear adopter, if you’re reading this, know that Georgie waits—a gentle whiskered wanderer, seeking solace in your arms. Will you be the one to unravel his story and give him the forever home he deserves? Georgie is 7 years old, neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and triple tested negative for FIV, FelV, and heartworm disease. May Georgie’s tale find its happy ending—a cozy hearth, a patient heart, and a love that whispers, “You belong.” ** GEORGIE"S ADOPTION FEE IS HALF OFF FOR THE MONTH OF OCTOBER!! ** If you have the purrfect home for Georgie, please apply through the link below. https://serenityanimalhospital.net/cat-adoption-application/ Once your application has been processed, our adoptions team will reach out to schedule a meet and greet in person with Georgie. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our adoption fee includes the pets spay or neuter, microchip, up to date vaccines, FelV/FIV/Heartworm test and fecal check. Story
Age: 5 Years Weight: 10lbs Good with dogs? No Good with cats? With a slow and proper intro Good with kids? No Energy Level: Moderate Adoption Fee: SPONSERED $0 Any other info: Meet Rosie. Rosie was adopted from us a few years ago but unfortunately was returned after her owner passed away. When she was first with us she was incredibly sweet with everyone but since coming back to us, that has not been the case. Poor Rosie needs a hero. In the quiet corners of the shelter, where the air smells of hope and echoes of lost companionship linger, resides Rosie—a black and white tuxedo cat with eyes that hold secrets. Her story is etched in ink and paw prints, a tale of resilience and guarded vulnerability. The Striking Eyes: Rosie’s eyes are like twin moons. When she gazes at you, it’s as if she’s unraveling constellations, daring you to decipher her cosmic code. Perhaps she once whispered secrets to the stars, and they painted her irises with stardust. Her First Home: Rosie’s past is a faded photograph—a cozy living room, sunbeams dancing on hardwood floors, and the gentle hum of her owner’s voice. But life, that unpredictable conductor, changed the melody. When her owner passed away, Rosie found herself back at the shelter—a bewildered note in an unfinished symphony. The Sassy Sonata: Oh, Rosie can be sassy! She struts like a prima donna, tail held high, as if the world owes her a standing ovation. When a volunteer approaches, she will swat the condo doors and hiss in warning to anyone who dares open the condo. The Defensive Waltz: Approach Rosie too quickly, and she pirouettes into defense. Her claws, like piano keys, strike discordant notes. But beneath the bravado lies fragility—the fear of abandonment, the echo of loss. Rosie’s heart, like a delicate nocturne, needs time to find its rhythm again. And she will need a patient adopter who understands that she will need lots of time and consistency to trust again. Once she does trust you, Rosie absolutely adores being pet. Cheek rubs and tasty treats are her favorite! But you must earn that right first. Her Wish: Rosie dreams of patient hands—ones that won’t rush, won’t demand. She longs for a home where sunbeams linger, where the scent of jasmine dances through open windows. A home where trust is built brick by brick, note by note. Rosie’s soul, like an unfinished symphony, awaits its final movement. Because of Rosie's unpredictable nature and the fact that she is not afraid to swat and even bite if she feels she needs to, she needs a home without any kids around. As of right now, we don't think she's a fan of other animals either, but that may change in the future. Picture this: Rosie perched on a windowsill, eyes fixed on the horizon. She watches the world—a silent witness to life’s ebb and flow. And you, dear adopter, hold the key. With patience, you’ll coax Rosie from her defensive stance. You’ll learn her quirks—the way she twitches her tail when intrigued, the softness of her purr when she finally leans into your touch. Will You Be Her Encore? Rosie waits—an enigma in a tuxedo, a feline sonata seeking its final crescendo. Will you be the one to play her melody? To unravel her cosmic secrets and offer her the encore she deserves? Rosie is around 5 years old, spayed, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and triple tested negative for FIV, FelV, and heartworm disease.
