Story
Milo is a lovable, handsome, young guy who has been through a lot of changes in his short life. He was born in November of 2020. Now he is looking for someone who will love him and give him the forever home he needs to show just how much love he has to share. When Milo was only 2 years old, his brother and best cat friend passed away. After that, he tried his best to make the family dog his replacement friend but it just wasn't the same. Not long after that, a human family member became ill and Milo was taken to a shelter. All the noises at the shelter scared Milo but fortunately, he was only there for a day or two before he lucked out with a very kind, patient foster mom taking him home. When Milo arrived in his foster home, he was scared and has had to learn to trust again. Fortunately, his foster mom knew Milo had lots of love to give so with her patience and expert guidance from a cat behaviorist, Milo discovered the view from the top of the dresser was much better than the "obstructed view" beneath the dresser and pets from a human are really nice. Milo enjoys his foster mom's dog - when it isn't too crazy - so would probably be happiest in a home where he has a calm cat and/or dog buddy. He also needs a quiet home because loud, unexpected noises send him back to the "obstructed view." Older children in the home would be fine too if they are willing to let Milo come to them on his own terms. Milo also loves to talk so he will gladly tell you all about his day. To adopt you must first complete an adoption application and meet the cat either virtually or in person in its foster home. We do not do same day adoptions so, generally, we can only adopt within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Story
Meet Girly, a lovely lady looking for her forever home. When she arrived at the shelter after her owner died, she was severely underweight and in bad shape. But once the shelter staff nursed her back to health, they reached out to the MCSPCA for a foster home, and Girly adapted well to leaving the shelter, lounging in the sun, playing with feather toys, and watching birds out the window. Due to her playfulness, the MCSPSA’s vet estimates she may be younger than what the shelter originally thought. But she is now happy, healthy, and ready to go to her forever home. She is a sweet and affectionate cat, although she does have her boundaries. She will keep you company as you work from home and has no qualms about interrupting your zoom calls or demanding pets. She is curious and outgoing, and likes her food (she will not let you forget meal time) and feather toys. She is talkative, and will ask for food or playtime. She will sleep on your bed or next to you on the sofa, and greet you when you come home. She would be a wonderful addition to any family. To adopt you must first complete an adoption application and meet the cat either virtually or in person in its foster home. Story
Meet Hilo, a brown and white tabby born in April 2024! When he's not running around and wrestling with other cats in the house he's a great snuggler. He also has so much love to give he shows it by giving licks aka kisses! He would do best to be adopted with another playful kitten: his sibling Waimea would be a perfect choice. He gets along well with the other adult cats and dog in the house. To adopt you must first complete an adoption application and meet the cat either virtually or in person in its foster home. We do not do same day adoptions so, generally, we can only adopt within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

Story
Burritos and his brother are an inseparable pair looking for their forever home together. These playful, loving kitties born on/around March 31, 2024, are the perfect combination of spunky and sweet with little motors that can run a long time, and they're ready to bring double the joy to your home. These boys share a special bond and find comfort in each other's company. They play together, nap together, explore together and are always looking out for one another. Adopting them as a pair means double the love and double the fun. Also by having a built in playmate who is always ready to go, they are more likely to adjust well to any household with or without other pets.        They are well-socialized, respectful of the foster mom's resident cats and have been exposed to a few cat friendly dogs whose company is often sought out. To adopt you must first complete an adoption application and meet the cat either virtually or in person in its foster home. We do not do same day adoptions so, generally, we can only adopt within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
