Story
This handsome lad arrived at BHS as a stray, but he’s ready to put down roots in a loving home! Spud is a fan of gentle head scratches and would likely thrive in a calm environment with potential older, respectful kiddos and dog friends who understand the importance of taking things slow. However, he would prefer to be the only cat in the household.Shelter life can be overwhelming, so Spud often finds comfort curled up in his cubby, away from the hustle and bustle. But once he feels safe and settled, he’s sure to be the perfect companion. If you’re ready to scoop up this sweet potato, come and meet him at BHS!

Story
Meet Osmosis Jones, an older gentleman looking for his retirement home. He came in as stray, so we have no known background history. However, we do think that with proper introductions he could adjust to kids, cats, and dogs. His sweet demeanor is as captivating as his curious nature. His mellow personality makes him the perfect companion for quiet afternoons. Despite his age, Osmosis has a zest for life that is truly inspiring. His love for people and his friendly nature make him a joy to be around. Osmosis is more than just a cat, he is a friend who will bring joy, laughter, and companionship into your life. He has a heart murmur that will require regular monitoring with a veterinarian, so a vet relationship will need to be established to adopt him. Adopt Osmosis Jones and experience the unending love of an older cat!

Story
Meet Aero, a feline with a spirit as free as the wind! She has been with us here at BHS for many months working on her socialization. She originally arrived with her kitten, who has since found her own forever home, and now it`s Aero’s time to fly! While she has made great strides in her socialization, the shelter environment can be very stressful. We think once she gets into a calmer setting, given the time and space needed to adjust at her own pace she will start to settle and be a great companion. We recommend using good judgment and proper introduction if bringing Aero into a home with other cats and dogs. Possibly having a feline friend will help her come out of her shell! We also recommend a household with older respectful kids who can give her space when needed. Her independence makes her the perfect match for someone who values a pet with a strong personality! If you`re looking for a cat and willing to give them time, patience, and extra care, we would be happy to introduce you to Aero!

Story
This is Thumper! She has been with us at BHS for a few months. She originally arrived with her kittens, all of whom have since found their forever homes, and now it’s Thumper’s turn to find hers! While she’s made great strides in her socialization, the shelter environment can still be a bit overwhelming for her. Thumper would thrive in a calm, patient home where she can have the time and space to adjust at her own pace. She’s a big fan of wet food and treats, so that’s definitely the way to her heart!Thumper would do best in a home where introductions to new pets, especially dogs and cats, are handled with care. A calm, confident feline friend or a laid-back dog could help her settle in more easily. We also recommend a household with teens who can respect her boundaries and give her the space she needs when she’s feeling shy. With some patience and understanding, we bet Thumper will truly turn a corner! If you’re looking for a cat and willing to give them a tad bit of extra TLC, we would be happy to introduce you to Thumper!
