Story
Meet Lamont (aka Monty) - a sweet, 2-year-old indoor-only cat looking for a loving forever home. He’s a little shy at first, but once he feels comfortable, he becomes a total lap cat who loves attention and cuddles. Unfortunately, we’re rehoming him because he hasn’t been able to get along with one of our three other cats (a female). Despite trying various introductions and techniques, the tension has remained, and for the past month, we’ve had to keep them completely separated. It’s not fair to Lamont to live confined to a room, and he deserves a space where he can be comfortable and relaxed. He would likely do best as the only cat in the home, though he previously got along with our two male cats and has never had an issue with our senior boxer. A calm, single-cat home would be ideal. Lamont will come with his automatic feeder (with some of his food) and his cat bed. He must remain an indoor-only cat. He’s a sweet, loyal companion who just needs the right environment to thrive.

Story
Carter is 4 years old. I have raised him since he was a 2 month old kitten. Let me tell you about how amazing he is and why I have come to the tough decision to try to re-home him. Carter is EXTREMELY social and HUMAN FRIENDLY! He always loves meeting new people and instantly loves everyone he comes into comtact with. I have never even once seen him hide when a new person comes to the door. Carter is also very CAT FRIENDLY! I have taken him many times to friends' houses to meet and live with their cats. He is super friendly with other cats and loves to play! I have never heard Carter hiss or make angry cat noises in my life! I love Carter dearly, but unfortunately, I am moving away for school in a few months, and it won't be possible for me to own a cat with my new living situation. I would hate to have to give him to an adoption center, and would much prefer to find a new forever home for him! Please feel free to reach out to me! You can always text me at: (xxx) xxx-xxxx

Story
She was found several months ago as a stray kitten hungry but otherwise healthy. My girlfriend and I started feeding her and letting her sleep in our apartment to keep her safe from the weather and other threats, but we cannot care for her full time and are hoping to find her a loving forever home. She is a playful and curios young cat who enjoys playing with toys and receiving attention from humans. She had no problem being picked up and held for short periods of time, and she happily explores new places. She has one of the loudest, warmest purrs i have ever heard from a cat and she uses it to let you know how much she enjoys being pet and getting skritches on her chin. She has never bit or clawed us or any of the other humans she has met aside from gentle playful love bites while cuddling, ans she has never clawed or damaged any furniture or curtains. She would make an excellent cat in any household, as long as the new owners could provide her with lots of affection and joy

Story
Jack and Rosie (aka Rose) - Adopt Together or into a Household with Another Kitty or 2 Contact: dcmcats@yahoo.com Jack is a handsome all grey Russian Blue type kitten. He was rescued from a colony with his younger cousin Rose (aka Rosie), who was also rescued from the same colony. Both are happy and healthy kittens. Jack likes to cuddle next to his foster mom and is very playful! He enjoys napping and interacting with the adult male cats at his foster home and also loves playing with his cousin Rosie. His favorite are flying toys, and he will sometimes play kick his little mouse toy around. When he is not playing, he likes to watch and observe what his foster mom is doing. Jack is so sweet but unsure in new situations and it takes a while for him to settle in and get to know you. He needs to have Rosie or another gentle kitty or 2 as a companion. Jack requires someone who will be patient with him and give him love and gentle coaxing; and not rush things. Once he gets comfortable, he is s sweet boy with people! Jack hasn't been around dogs, but might be fine with a calm, gentle dog that is laid back and quiet. Rosie aka Rose is a beautiful Tabby and white kitten with lovely markings and a bit of orangey tan colors on her arms and nose. She is confident and sweet! Rosie is also adventurous and gets curious about things. She wants to go explore the rest of the foster house. Rose is very playful and will play solo with her wand and mouse toys, but if she hears a flying toy she jumps up and joins in the fun! Sweet baby girl Rosie is super affectionate when in her relax mode and will snuggle with her foster. She can be adopted with Jack, or solo to someone who has can spend time with her. She does love other cats, so she would do well in a home with another kitty or 2 to have as a friend. One of the male cats at the foster home likes to wash her like his baby! Jack and Rosie are fixed and tested, and have their shots, wormers, and flea treatments. They both love other cats and have been following the lead of the resident male kitties at their foster home, which has helped with their socialization process. They are both very playful! Please send an email to dcmcats@yahoo.com for an application and please include a little about yourself and your household, and what your typical daily and weekend schedule is like in your reply, so we can help you decide if Jack and/or Rosie is your perfect kitten!

Story
Sweet Tuxedo Cats Annie & Amos Looking for a Home Together! Contact dcmcats@yahoo.com Annie (see separate post for Amos) - Adopt Together Annie & Amos started life as orphans when their mama cat was hit by a car on the 4th of July weekend in 2022. They were adopted, but got returned to their rescuer when the landlord discovered them at a no-pets apt. house. Annie is a pretty Tuxedo girl and has a mostly black face with a little white triangle between her eyes and weighs 15 lbs. She loves her share of scratches and hugs but waits for you to initiate. She licks you back as you scratch her to show her affection and thanks. Amos is a handsome big black & white Tuxedo cat with a mostly white face who weighs 20 lbs. He would love to sit in someone’s lap all day to get and give kisses, and get scratches and belly rubs. They are both lovers! Amos is very friendly and he enjoys being the center of attention and getting as much affection as he can get. Annie is just as friendly once she warms up to you, but since Amos introduces himself first, Annie is happy to sit back and wait as he makes friends. Once she knows you, she enjoys just as much attention as Amos! Annie & Amos have been together their whole lives and need a home together. They have all their shots, are fixed, and tested negative for FIV and Feluk, so are very healthy. Please contact dcmcats@yahoo.com for an application and to be put in touch with their rescuer. Please include a little about yourself and your household and what your typical daily and weekend schedule is like in your reply. Annie & Amos would love to come share their love with you!
