Jeff is an amazing cat. He is good with kids and other animals. We are only trying to rehome him because our four-year-old and our nine month old is allergic to cats and causes their skin to break out so we are trying to find a home that can enjoy him and take care of him

Story
Homie is a 10 month old cat. He is the sweetest boy i’ve ever met. He loves to cuddle, to be picked up, to be pet, to lay in jacket with you. He’s really well socialized. A few days ago we realized his front paw is either broken or sprained and we can’t afford to care for him. My partner and I are both really worried about him and want him to go to a good, safe home. He needs to see a vet for his leg but we can’t give him that with our current income. While his leg hurts him a lot he’s such a good cat that I hope can go to a great home.

Story
Meredith used to be a member of a feral cat colony in Broussard. They have a caretaker that sees to their needs, and they all usually do fairly well there. However, we decided to take in Meredith because she was quite sick and needed to be on medication for multiple weeks. During that time, she's been in a foster home and has adjusted to the house-cat life quite well. She's now completely healthy and ready to find a forever home! Meredith is very much a diva and likes things her way. She's more like a roommate than a pet, to be honest. She can be very vocal when she wants something, usually either food or to go in/out of a specific room. She's not really a cuddley cat, but she does enjoy people's company. You'll often find her napping on the couch next to her foster parents while they're watching TV. The best way to win over Meredith's heart is through food - any kind of treats will do. You can also always count on her to join you in the kitchen when you're cooking food or sitting down for a meal. Meredith absolutely adores other cats and loves to play with the other foster kittens. Because of this, we'd love to see her go to a home that already has one or more friendly cats, but she'd probably be fine as an only child too. She's currently living with three large dogs and gets along with them quite well as long as they respect her personal space. Please consider letting Meredith join your family! *** If you'd like to make this pet part of your family, please fill out an online application today: https://form.jotform.com/211746872887169 *** ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Would you like to help us with the financial cost of the pets in our care? Story
Sunflower (most commonly known as "Sunny" by her foster family) was found on UL Lafayette's campus. We believe that she may have been abandoned there because she was very sweet to all of the students that stopped by to say hi to her, and she kept trying to run inside the buildings. One of our volunteers called us to report the situation and we immediately got her scooped up and put into a foster home. Sunny is a super loving cat. Her favorite things to do are to sit on the windowsill and watch all that's going on outside in the neighborhood and sleep her in foster dad's lap while he works on his computer. She can be pretty vocal and will have full "conversations" with her foster parents - especially around dinner time. Sunny absolutely adores people, but unfortunately isn't the biggest fan of other animals. She would do best in a home without dogs or other cats. Ultimately, all Sunny wants is a family that will spoil her rotten and treat her like the princess that she is. A major fact to note is that Sunny does have a history of seizures. She has had two that we know of, the first occurred soon after she was taken into our organization during a routine check up with the vet. The second seizure happened in a previous adopter's home after she woke up from a nap. The previous adopters were aware of her medical history, but ended up deciding to return her back to Wild Cat Foundation because they realized that they would not be able to financially care for Sunny long-term. As of right now, Sunny is happy and healthy. She is not currently taking any medications for the seizures because we are unsure of what the root of the problem is. We have ran multiple tests to try to determine the cause (such as FeLV/FIV and toxoplasmosis), but everything has come up negative. Our leading guess is that she has an allergy/sensitivity to essential oils that were used in the diffusers at both locations, but we cannot confirm this. Any potential adopters will have to be able to commit to Sunny's medical needs and work with their personal vet to find a solution to this issue if it continues. Additionally, Sunny has some special grooming needs. She has beautiful long fur, but is honestly a bit lazy about grooming herself. She will need to be brushed regularly to keep her fur free of tangles. She's scheduled to get a lion-cut soon as the weather is warming up, so we'll see how that goes. Even though Sunny has a few quirks and special needs, she is most definitely worth the trouble. She is so sweet, loving, affectionate, and just an absolute joy to have around. Please consider giving her a home! Story
Crackle was found all alone on the streets. His wounds suggest he may have fallen out of a car engine. He's a feisty little guy who loves to "talk" and play, but he also enjoys snuggling with his foster humans and feline foster brother. Great with kids & dogs too! *** If you'd like to make this pet part of your family, please fill out an online application today: https://tinyurl.com/adoptcatform *** ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Would you like to help us with the financial cost of the pets in our care?
