Story
Very loving cat needs a good home where she will get lots of attention and cuddles. Approximately 16 months old, this very petite sweet (weighing less than 6 1/2 pounds) has lots of love to give. She is up-to-date on shots and has an appointment to be spayed and microchipped in Lawrence. Her original owner is elderly and no longer able to care for her. She loves to play and cuddle.

Story
Stranger showed up about 3 years ago as a young adult. Only in the last 6 months has he let me pet him. He’s now living on my porch seemingly 24/7 and is extremely affectionate. He’s ready to be an indoor boy. He’s never lived indoors and is just learning how to be a domestic cat. He loves to sit on my lap and nuzzle. He used to be very deferential with my 4 cats, but now that he lives on the porch he has become more territorial. I think in a new setting he could adapt to living with other cats. He’s still somewhat wary of new people but quick to warm up. He just had vaccinations and was neutered. He’s very sweet and is ready for a home and even more affection than I can give him with already having 4 cats. It will be an adjustment as he learns how to be a domestic kitty, but I don’t think it would take long. He’s a real love bug and a sweetie.

Story
Born in April 2025. Adopted from Lawrence Humane Society August 2025. Kitten is very sweet and affectionate, and wonderful with young children (5 and 8 year old girls). She gets along with with two dogs. Two older cats are becoming increasingly aggressive towards this kitten, although she has not shown any aggression towards them in return. Responds to this aggression by running away / hiding.

Story
Gus is 8 and I acquired him from my niece 6 years ago. He was a prairie paws rescue when he was a kitten. He is close to 16 pounds. He is full of personality and is also very loving. He will stay close to his owner and enjoy your lap with his purrs if you let him. He really is very much a companion cat. He currently lives with another male adult cat and they do great together. I think he would do great as an only cat too. He is skittish with dogs who come in the house because he has not lived with one full-time. He enjoys going out on the porch and he does not wander far; but he has primarily been indoors. He will explore your house and is very Inquisitive. He can open doors and drawers that not latched with his paws. You will never be bored with Gus in your life. I am moving 1200 miles and downsizing and he will not be able to go with me. It will be hard for me to let him go but he needs his next loving family or person.

Story
My husband and I are looking to rehome our beautiful cat Cici. Cici is a spunky, vocal and loving black beauty that needs a quiet one cat home to call her own. Cici is 5 years old and has a twin sister named Charli but unfortunately they no longer get a long, and it has turned into a stressful situation for both girls. We believe Cici would do best in a one cat home. She loves to talk, snuggle and lay in sunny windows. We are looking for a kind, loving and patient family or person to adopt this beautiful girl at no charge. Cici is vaccinated, spayed and is house broken. If you are interested please don't hesitate to reach out. Thank you, The Ward Family

Story
Bobee Sherbert is truly a bundle of joy. He gets along well with everyone, and even young children can tug gently on his fur without upsetting him. He is a very loving and affectionate cat with a calm, easygoing temperament. Bobee does have some health concerns, including periodontitis, but he is managing well with treatment and remains comfortable. He also struggles with litter box issues, which I believe are largely due to stress from living with five other cats. I am confident he would thrive in a quieter home as the only cat, especially with an older person who could give him consistent attention and a peaceful environment. He is up to date on all his shots, and at seventeen years old, he is healthy overall and still has a lot of love to give.
