Story
Upon arrival, Hershey and his siblings were skittish, avoiding human contact and showing signs of fear. Their behavior was typical of cats who have had little to no positive interactions with people. The staff at the shelter knew that it would take time, patience, and consistent efforts to help these cats feel safe and valued. Over time, consistent gentle interactions began to show positive effects. Hershey has now become a loving companion. He makes sure to hangout near the front of his kennel and greet visitors with an enthusiastic meow, letting you know he wants some attention. He has even started to enjoy being picked up and snuggled, often rubbing his head against your chin to show his love in return. Since he has spent a good portion of his life at the shelter, Hershey still gets a little nervous when placed in a new setting but, with continued support, Hershey will surely fully embrace life as a cherished pet. All cats and kittens come spayed and neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fees are $50.00 for adult cats and $75.00 for kittens under 6 months old at the time of adoption. Whether it's a gentle pat on the head or a full-on cuddle session, he's always ready to soak up as much affection as you can give. He loves to run his face against yours or snuggle it into the crook of your elbow. One of Clarence's most charming traits is his enthusiasm for breakfast. He has an impeccable internal clock and will make sure you know when it's time to serve the most important meal of the day. Clarence is a sweet, affectionate, and communicative companion who brings an abundance of joy through his love of attention and breakfast. Whether you are looking for a cuddle buddy or a breakfast companion, Clarence is the perfect friend. Clarence has tested positive for FeLV and would be best in a home without other cats.
