Story
Bones is an absolute sweetheart. He loves attention, is super friendly, and is all around a sweet guy. He loves car rides, pup cups, and he will follow you wherever you go. That being said, I am in college, so classes and work take up most of my day, and sadly he is alone often. He really needs someone he can be around more than just a couple of hours a day. He is literally the perfect cat and I just want someone to be able to give him the care he deserves.

Story
Waffle is a 5 year old male. He is beautiful and enjoys lounging around most of the time. He seeks cuddles and often climbs on a lap if it is available. He gets along great with our dog (Shiba Inu) and does well with older kids and adults. The reason we need to find a good home for him is that he is overly aggressive with our smaller female cat and our older male cat. He also would not be great with infants or toddlers. When people are too rapid, grabby or intrusive he can bite or scratch. Not bad, but would not be a good fit with very young children. He is super fun to watch and play with and it is very difficult to part with him. We hope to find a stable loving home where he will be a better fit. He is overdue for checkup and vaccinations and we have an appointment set with vet to have this taken care of on April 28.

Story
Meow Meow is black and white. He is a lover and doesn't care for being shut out of a room. He will knock on the door. He will also "talk" to you. Maggie is quiet and likes to be invited to your lap. She does require grooming on a regular basis...Brushing and clipping along the back of her legs. Clippers and brush will go with her. I have deep litter boxes to go with.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Lottie (along with her mom and sister) was discovered in a cat carrier that had been thrown in a ditch when she was a day or two old. It was noticed that her back legs seemed frozen and it was unclear how she had been injured. Once Lottie was eating solid food, an x-ray was scheduled. These x-rays did reveal an injury that had healed. No further improvement was expected for Lottie. One thing Dr. Roland (Safe Haven's volunteer vet) needed to determine a plan for Lottie's future was to find out if Lottie had control of her bowels and bladder, so she took over fostering her. Since Lottie had been seen playing in the litterbox at her first foster home, Dr. Roland set up a dog crate with a litterbox, food and water. She noticed that Lottie was using the litterbox when she was in the crate but did not go back to the litter box when she was out playing. So, Dr. Roland ordered some tiny kitten diapers and onesies for playtime. Dr. Roland did notice that Lottie would twitch her tail rapidly when she needed to poop, and she also twitches her legs and clenches her toes, which indicates that the nerves to her legs are damaged but not severed. It has been noticed that Lottie is not using her litter box 100% of the time. Her ideal home would be with someone who has extra time for the care Lottie requires, like diaper changes, baths, and laundry. She will repay you with lots of purrs and snuggles. She is such a happy-go-lucky girl!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 20, 2025, 7:36 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Current:  Ribsy is a beautiful orange cat with matching eyes. Ribsy found himself back at the shelter after his owner's living situation changed. With the added stress from the change, he was peeing outside his box. We think with the right environment and possibly being an only cat, he will not continue this behavior. He is a sweetheart and at the shelter he hasn't peed outside his box at all. He loves to play with every kind of toy and watching birds out the window is one of his favorite past time activities. He is a true joy to be around. 8/25/22 Ribsy came in with mom and siblings and made himself right at home in the shelter. But now that his mom has been adopted, he would much prefer to find a home of his own. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 9, 2025, 12:33 pm
