Story
Meatball is a friendly, playful guy who is about a year and half old. He is Fiv+, but he`s not aggressive, so he is safe to mix with other cats. He is currently in a temporary home with two older cats who are not into playing, much to Meatball`s dismay. If you have a playful kitty who needs a playmate, consider Meatball! He also gets along with small children. He is vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. He has had flea prevention and dewormer. The adult cat adoption fee is $50. If you are interested in meeting this adorable guy, please complete the cat adoption form and we will set up a time for you to meet him.Application: https://safehomerescue.org/how-to-adopt/cat-adoption-form/

Story
Iowa Cat wants a real home.Message Agape Fosters page if interested in this big guy.Pappy approx 7 years old is off the mean streets of Waterloo after living off the land for years. He was worn for wear but looks much better now. He’s been fully vetted, incl tested and neutered. He’s rather dog like but doesn’t like dogs. He may do ok with a confident female cat or kittens as he helped take care of his offspring. His 4 kittens were also fixed and adopted out. He’d love a real home or even a foster/temporary home.

Story
Meet Sammy he’s a neutered, approx 4-5 month old sweet boy. Looks like he’ll be medium long hair. He’s already about 5lbs, he’ll be bigger. He somehow ended up at a feral feeding station and was so scared. The caretakers were able to trap him only to find out he’s not feral in the least, he’s a snuggler. He’s ready to start his life indoors only and where he’ll be safe and loved for a lifetime. Message our page for more info on Sammy. Located near Waterloo, Iowa

Story
Meet Charlie! He is a great companion cat who has proven to be social with other cats, very patient with toddlers, slightly chatty and is looking for his forever home. Charlie has handsome white markings on his face, paws and belly. He spent his first few years as an outdoor cat before he was trapped in Spring 2024. He has been neutered, vetted and had some large canine (coyote?) bite wounds to the face that have recovered fully. Charlie has been house trained and is happy to part of the family or household.

Story
HOW TO ADOPT: This cat is participating in our Shelter Cat Getaway foster program, which gives cats a vacation from the shelter and lets them enjoy home life while they wait to be adopted. To schedule a time to meet this cat, please contact Mary at mmccarroll@arl-iowa.org or Carol at cgriglione@arl-iowa.org.---Jelly Donut and Mama are Bonded Buddies. They'll be adopted as a pair.- Very sweet cat that loves to cuddle, sit in your lap, and be picked up- He loves to sleep near you and curls up right in the bend in your legs, sleeps there all night- Very interested in cat treats- Likes tummy rubs, playing with his catnip toys, and sitting on the high spot on the cat tower- Is a very vocal cat and has the sweetest chirps and meows - He is very bonded to his buddy, and both of them love each other very much and love to snuggle together - they will often sit next to each other and groom each other, which is very cute- Not a fan of loud noises, so he's looking for a calm, quiet home- Young children are not a good fit for him, so he and his buddy are looking for a more mature home - Has done well with dogs and other cats- He and his buddy are lovely cats who will make a wonderful addition to a calm, loving homeThis cat can be fearful and may need extra time to adjust to a new home. We've seen good progress here at the ARL, but don't be surprised if it takes several weeks for this cat to become comfortable in a new place. This cat may hide and just observe at first - maybe for quite a while - and that is perfectly normal. Young children are too much for this cat right now, so we are highly recommending a quiet, mature home. We are happy to provide post-adoption resources. If you can give this cat extra time, patience and TLC, please consider adopting! It will be so rewarding to watch them gain confidence and start enjoying all the good things in life! All adoptable cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and FVRCP as appropriate for their age) Primary Color: Black Weight: 12.2 Age: 3yrs 5mths 0wks
