Story
Perry is a sweet boy, who loves attention from people, but is wary of other cats- they pick on him! For that reason, he has some marking issues that we're working on, & we recommend that he be an only cat, or maybe with a very friendly, non- dominant cat in his new home. He really is a sweet boy, he just gets picked on for some reason. **If you are interested in adoption, please go to our website at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org to fill out the Cat Adoption Application. All of our cats are spayed/neutered, FeLV/FIV negative (unless noted), microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. Our adoption fee for cats is free will to approved applicants.**November 4, 2024, 8:52 pm

Story
***The first step in the adoption process is to complete the adoption application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org*** Elle is a beautiful girl.  She is actually a dilute calico although she is mostly grey with just a few spots of peach in her thick soft fur.  Elle and her sister Eliza were part of a rescue where there were just too many cats for the owner to care for.  The sisters were born spring of 2020 but sadly the girls didn't receive the socialization they needed in order to trust and appreciate the affection from humans.  They have gotten better during their time at the shelter and would likely do even better in a home environment but they are still timid.  Elle is more welcoming to gentle pets than her sister.  Elle would need a quiet home with a family that is willing to be patient with the her while she learns that she is safe in order for her to be comfortable in her new home. Elle is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped.  As always, our cat and kitten adoption fees are free will to approved applicants. November 4, 2024, 8:52 pm

Story
***The first step in the adoption process is to go to our website at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org to complete the Adoption Application*** Coral came to us with her siblings Conrad & Connie. Coral is the most shy of the bunch, having just started letting us pet her a tiny bit at a time. She's never bitten or hissed at us, she's just uncomfortable with human touch. Her brother Conrad is helping a little bit with her shyness, but it is a process & any potential adopter would need to keep that in mind or just be OK with having a kitty friend who doesn't want to cuddle & doesn't like a lot of commotion, like most of the cats in the blue room with her. That being said, she does get along with the other kitties in her room, so another calm cat to help her socialization a little would be great for her, maybe consider adopting her with one of her siblings? Connie would be a great balancing personality addition with Coral. Coral is spayed & up to date on vaccinations. As always all cat & kitten adoption fees are a free will donation for approved applicantsNovember 4, 2024, 8:52 pm

Story
***The first step in the adoption process is to go to our website at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org to complete the Adoption Application*** Conrad came in with his brother Connie and sister Coral. He is a shy kitty, who might startle when you reach for him, but he will soon lean into your hand for a good head scritching. Conrad has become less jumpy since moving into a room with more exposure to humans and isn't really too shy now to ask you for love. He gets along very well with other cats & we feel that he'd do best in a quiet home with another calm kitty, similar to his best buddy Hubert, who really helped him to realize his love for people & the wonderful attention they can give him. Conrad and his siblings were born April Fool’s Day of 2021. Conrad is up to date on vaccinations & is neutered. As always, all cat & kitten adoption fees are a free will donation for approved applicants.January 25, 2025, 12:41 pm

Story
***The first step in the adoption process is to go to our website at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org to complete the Adoption Application*** Say hello to Connie! Connie and his siblings, Conrad & Coral, are here because a kindhearted lady was worried about them as stays in her neighborhood. Connie is a very sweet and gentle boy, who comes off a little shy at first, but is really the most outgoing of the three. Once you spend a few minutes with him, he will be all over you for pats & love. Connie is a calm guy & gets along well with all of the other kitties with him in the red room. He is often the first cat a newcomer will cuddle up with. Connie would do great in a quieter home with maybe another calm or moderately playful kitty, or he would do well as an only cat too. Connie and his siblings were born April Fool’s Day of 2021. Connie is up to date on his vaccinations & is neutered. As always, all cat & kitten adoption fees are free will donation for approved applicants.January 25, 2025, 12:20 pm
