Story
💎 Zarah 💎Introducing the stunning Zarah! She is estimated to be around 1.5 years old and is part Siamese. Zarah does have the typical Siamese attitude at times but LOVES scratches behind the ears and just melts to the ground purring. She does not sharpen her claws on furniture as long as she is provided adequate scratching posts and is litter box trained. A covered litter box works best for Zarah. She is not a fan of dogs and would be best with no young children. Zarah is fixed, up to date on vaccines and FLV/FIV negative. If you are interested in adopting Zarah please visit our website at www.pawsofadamscounty.com and submit an adoption application. When applying, please answer each question completely and honestly. Only complete applications will be considered. Thank you for considering adopting!https://www.pawsofadamscounty.com/adoption-foster-appwww.pawsofadamscounty.com

Story
Javi is a good fit for any home. He is the dream kitty, he naps, eats and snuggles. His age is unknown, my guess 7-10 years old and is a big boy. He is not fond of being picked up. But you cannot pet him enough. I've never seen him be anything but sweet to a human. He would be great with an older person or do well with children because he is so laid back. Being a house cat is his only wish. He is such a sweet boy and knows if he gets on the couch he has to be on his blanket. As you can see in the pictures, he has no problem following house rules. He is that eternally grateful cat that had a hard life out on his own and is now happy to live inside. My male tolerates Javi, but it isn't ideal as he can also be aggressive with him. Javi always backs down, now and then he stands up for himself, but Javi prefers to be a gentleman. I want him to have a home without the anxiety of another cat being territorial. Last pic is him and a kitten that bonded.

Story
CaliCoCo showed up as a stray last July. She had a small litter of 2 kittens. CoCo was spayed as soon as the kittens were weaned. The kittens have all found homes. She was an excellent mother even though she is very young herself and most likely this was her first litter. She is sweet and likes attention. She is incredibly smart and watches to see how to navigate life with humans. I taught her to use the litter box by placing my friendly male cat in the garage with her. She copied him right away. She also knows how to use a cat door. CoCo would do best in a home without a lot of other animals. Another pet is fine and she seems to really like small children. I would like CoCo to have her own home to enjoy. She would make a great family pet and her mouse catching skills are on point.

Story
Kamden is a 7 year old male cat that has been at our shelter since September of 2016. Living in a room at the shelter is the only life he knows. We do not like it either but it is difficult to adopt out a cat that is not too fond of humans. It would be great to get him out into a home that can just let him lurk about. He will not seek you out for attention nor will he allow you to pick him up, atleast not to start out with. When cats like this are adopted into a home we see amazing things happen and they can change and become the best companions with love and patience. For now he is content with just hanging out with his best frient Tazz. We are requesting that Kamden go to a home that can also adopt Tazz.If you are interested in adopting this pet please visit www.blackfordcountyanimalshelter.com to complete our online adoption application.
