Story
Named Brix because he was born outside to a community cat mom in a narrow space between two brick buildings. Brix is a handsome, sweet boy with very plush fur. Brix moves differently than other cats. He has strength in his legs but there is a delay between the signals from his brain to his back legs. Because of this, when he runs or walks fast, his back legs don't coordinate with his front legs and his rear end swings around. But he doesn't realize anything is different! He plays and jumps and runs like any other cat. He has been seen by multiple vets, including a neurologist at Mizzou, and there is no obvious sign of why this is happening. If you would like to meet this amazing cat, please contact me.

Story
Sherman was born in August, 2021 and came to live with us as soon as he could. It is not easy to surrender him to another family, but he is not happy here with one of our older cats that causes him great stress. Due to that, he will sometimes pee outside of the litter box. He is potty trained and uses the box most of the time, but our vet thinks that he gets anxious around Olive. She taunts him every day and makes him a nervous wreck. We would surrender Olive, but we've had her a lot longer, and our daughter is more attached to her. Sherman loves to cuddle and sleep in our bed, and turns on his little purring motor instantly. We love him dearly, so we really hope someone loving, perhaps with no other cats, will adopt him.

Sweet as can be when he comes out of his shell. Takes some time getting comfortable with new environment. Originally outside a farm left by their mother - making shelter under a front porch.

I found Melvin on the street and have had him for about a year. He is a very sweet boy and loves his humans. Unfortunately, my elder cat and him do not get along. He needs to be in a home where he is the only animal.
