Story
Gandalf is a younger adult male cat looking for his forever home. He came in as a stray so we do not have much history for him, but he is GREAT with other cats and would probably be fine with dogs if they leave him alone. He is not a cat that enjoys tons of human affection at this time, but is slowly warming up to the idea. He spends much of his day napping in the kitty condos in our cat room, but we see him out and about much more often and has even allowed a bit of petting recently. His adoption fee is FREE due to his length of stay and includes his neuter, microchip, vaccinations and negative felv/fiv. Please call 630-553-9256 or email animalcontrol@kendallcountyil.gov, OR stop by during our open business hours to adopt!

Story
Meet Amber, a sweet older gal who came to us as a stray and was not reclaimed. We think Amber is an older cat (7 years old-ish we think). She is sweet but shy and enjoys relaxing in the kitty condos with the other cats. She uses the litterbox here at the shelter. Amber would love to go home with someone who doesn't mind a chill kitty friend who doesn't participate in kitten shenanigans. Her adoption fee is $50 due to her length of stay and includes her spay, microchip, vaccinations and negative felv/fiv test. Please call 630-553-9256 or email animalcontrol@Kendallcountyil.gov, or stop by during open business hours to meet and possibly adopt Amber.

Story
Meet Jack Jack! JJ is a sweet, shy boy who was brought in as a stray to our facility and never reclaimed. He was not microchipped despite being neutered when he arrived. Jack Jack is quiet and reserved and needs a family that will understand he needs time to decompress and bond with his new family when he goes home. He doesn't seem to mind other animals and uses the litterbox here. His adoption fee is $100 and includes neuter, microchip, vaccinations and felv/fiv test. Please call 630-553-9256 or email animalcontrol@Kendallcountyil.gov or stop by during our business hours to meet and possibly adopt!!

Story
Meet Nyxie, an approximately 3 year old female black cat who was brought in as a stray and was not reclaimed. Nyxie is a sweet girl who loves human attention, but LOATHES other cats. Her last pic in her profile is her looking at the free roamers in our cat room and hissing when they are in eye sight. We attempted free roaming with other cats and it went very poorly. She is otherwise an amazing cat and is housetrained and uses the litterbox like a good girl. She is now spayed and ready for adoption. We are not sure how she would be with dogs but we will hopefully evaluate that soon. Her adoption fee is $100 and includes her spay, microchip, vaccinations and negative felv/fiv test. Please call 630-553-9256 or email animalcontrol@kendallcountyil.gov, OR stop by to visit and adopt during our normal open business hours.

Story
Meet Lily! Lily came in as an owner surrender as her elderly owners could no longer care for the number of cats they had (including her and Lucy they have surrendered 12 cats to us). She was born April of 2017 to an outdoor mother cat and was brought indoors by her owners and had lived with them her whole life. She will be 8 years old in April. Lily is a friendly gal that takes a short time to warm up to new people but does great once she does. She is used to living with adult humans and other cats but has not been around dogs or small children. Respectful dogs and children would likely be fine with a slow acclimation. Her adoption fee is $100 and includes her spay, microchip, vaccinations and felv/fiv test. Please call 630-553-9256 or email animalcontrol@Kendallcountyil.gov, or stop by during our open business hours to meet her!
