Phantom is a 2.5-year-old tabby mix who has been through some confusing times in his short life. He was originally adopted as a kitten and returned last year for having blood in his urine. We quickly diagnosed that he had crystals, so now he eats prescription food to keep them from forming. Because he is on a special diet, he can`t free roam in our open cat rooms, so he`s lived on his own since being returned and, as a result, has been reserved and a bit shy. However, he will quickly open up once given space and some patience. He is currently getting comfortable around people and animals again by exploring the shelter and socializing with visitors to the office. We have discovered he LOVES kids and makes us laugh once he starts being silly and playing. He loves being petted and will play calmly with other cats. He has seen dogs and doesn`t have much of a reaction, but we always recommend slow introductions between new animals.

Tunes! What can we say about Tunes except he is one in a million?! Tunes was a bitty baby last summer when he wound up in the home of a shelter foster mom who bottle-fed him and his siblings. Sadly, they were plagued with health problems and Tunes was the only survivor. He spent the first half of his life fighting for it, with continuous respiratory and eye issues. Happily, he has grown out of most of those issues but may still need an occasional antibiotic for eye flare-ups. None of that stops him from being the sass-bag we at the shelter have all come to learn and love! He is funny, and pushy for love, but isn`t always so sure how to respond to that love. Staff describes him as playful, affectionate, and aloof, and we honestly can`t think of any better words to describe him! He is currently living in one of our open cat rooms, where he gets along with most of his roommates.

O, Rodeo, Rodeo, wherefore art thou Rodeo?You can find this fella yee-hawing around our cat room, keeping busy with his toys or looking for trouble. Rodeo is a 1.5-year-old tabby mix who is seeking the company of a nice l`il lady or gentleman, no children or pets. When faced with dogs, he gets to be all hissing and growling and plays a little too rough for other cats. He sure does like his head pats, but gets a little feisty when he`s had enough. Rodeo is a very busy, active guy who would do best as an only cat in a home with someone who will leave him to do his own thing with plenty of enrichment toys!

Toadstool is a beautiful, 4-year-old, orange tabby, bobtail gal. She is very sweet and independent, but once she warms up to you she is very affectionate. She enjoys being petted but will walk away when she`s had enough. She lives in one of our open cat rooms and does fine with other cats, though she doesn`t play with them. She seems to have no real reaction to dogs, also. Her favorite activity is watching the birds in the bushes outside the window -- this makes sense since she was found living in a barn. She will let you pick her up but is not fond of being held -- however, she will sit and let you brush her. She should do well in any home!

Meet three-year-old soft and very sweet Cheeto. Cheeto arrived at TAPS with four tiny kittens. This little family of five went immediately to a foster home, where they were nurtured and loved until they were ready for their forever homes. The following is what Cheeto`s foster has to say about her. She is super laid-back and gentle. Cheeto enjoys pets, is good with other cats. She played with her kittens which have now all been adopted, and now treats any other smaller foster that comes as one of her own. She will play with them if they want to play or snuggle with them if they want to snuggle. She will play with me when I have laser toys or dangly feathers! She will lay by my side and make biscuits as I pet her and make more biscuits with her little feet while she purrs gently...so precious!! She is one of the nicest and easiest cats I`ve ever had. The only thing we have discovered is that she would probably do best in a quieter home without small children as she hides from loud noise and big commotion. It speaks volumes that Cheeto is one of the gentlest, friendliest, cats this foster has ever had. Sheri has helped hundreds of littles, and their mamas have great starts in life.

Hi there, I`m Zsa Zsa and I am 1 year old. I am a pretty torbie girl who came to TAPS from a humane society not too far away. I came with my siblings who have since been adopted,,all but me. You see, I was a little shier and more independent when I got here as well as afraid. I have been living in a great foster home and am doing so well! I get to sleep with one of the daughters! I love being petted but am not fond of being picked up. I am really a sweet, gentle lovebug when given the opportunity. I will even sit on your lap! I also really enjoy dangly feather toys and a good cat tree to scratch and climb! If you have the patience and heart, please fill out that online application and give me a meet.
