Story
Meet Canola, a sweet kitty who is looking for her forever home with her sister, Honey!
Canola is a resilient and determined little soul. This sweet girl and her sister, came from a hoarding house that tragically caught fire, leaving behind chaos and destruction. Amidst the chaos, SAYv Animal Organization found these sweet girls and welcomed them into our care.
Canola has been through a traumatic experience, and as a result, it does take her a little time to warm up in new environments. This sweet girl has made HUGE strides in not just trusting, but LOVING people. Once shy and hiding when someone came in the room, this girl has discovered that getting pets is awesome, and she will run up to you for them every time you enter the room.
Canola is a silly girl, who loves chasing around a laser pointer or playing with any tiny object she can find - whether that be a cat toy or even a child's toy. Her foster mom jokes that she finds Canola's "treasures" every morning, left as gifts at the foot of the stairs. Canola also loves her sister, Honey, very much. They lean on each other for support if they're scared and they LOVE to play and nap together.
Patience and understanding will be key in helping Canola adjust to her new life, but we're confident that with the right home, we know this girl and her sister will make excellent companions to a variety of families. She is currently living in a foster home with young children, and while not eager to play with them, she does enjoy sitting and watching them from across the room, curious about what they're doing. Her journey to recovery and trust is ongoing, but she deserves nothing less than an incredible forever home.
If you have the capacity to open your heart and home to these remarkable survivors, and the time and patience to let them flourish, you have found the best kitties ever. Are you ready to make Canola and Honey a part of your family? Apply to adopt here: sayvanimals.org/adopt
