Story
Luna was found four months ago living at an abandoned house. She is very sweet and playful. Only a year old. Would need a very slow intro to other cats. She did try to fight my bf's cat. I don't know about dogs. We cant keep her since we already have cats and can't afford it. We are very fond of her and will interview and house check the adopter. Probably not a good choice for homes with small kids because she has claws and I am against declawing (It is cruel). She is litter box trained 100 percent. Very active cat, loves to run laps and play with her toys. She has a shiney fluffy coat. She gets eye goops so I run a humidifier in the room she is kept in and it helps. She is a healthy cat. Her poop was tested and she is parasite free. Also does not have fleas. She can only be adopted to someone who lives in Peoria IL or no more than one hour away since I will be bringing her to see what her living conditions will be. Will be spayed in Feb. Won't adopt to indoor smokers

Story
Chiggins is a 3.5-year-old Maine Coon/Tabby mix. He's a big boy (like his Maine Coon father) but has short hair and tabby markings (like his mom). Chiggins gets along wonderfully with dogs. He probably thinks he's a dog. He is much more picky about other cats. He would do best in a home as an only cat and no small children (he's not a fan of their quick movements and unpredictability). Chiggins is a snuggler but can be suspicious of strangers. We've had Chiggins since he was a baby. He's been an exclusively indoor cat but he has all the makings of a great barn kitty too (friendly and independent).

Story
Displaced by hurricane Helene, both girls (sisters) are about 8 months old and are fully vetted and current on vaccines. Both could use a bit of time to decompress and gain some socilaization skills with a new family, as they are a bit shy after their ordeal. Could be adopted together or separated. No rehoming fee, just hoping to find someone to give them a loving permanent home for the holidays!!

Story
Jojo is exceptionally docile and just the sweetest cat. I adopted her while living in Florida, and when I moved back to Illinois, she curled up at my feet in the car on the whole drive here. When I adopted her, I already had two other cats, and the humane society did not know how she would behave with other cats. Unfortunately, after almost a year, I have been unable to make any headway in getting Jojo to be okay with other cats. Part of the issue, I believe, is that she is declawed (I did not do that to her), and the other cats all have claws. She is not the aggressor, but when one of the other cats lifts a paw, she is extremely intimidated and can't defend herself. I have had to keep her in her own room with all the essentials: a tower to look out the window, a scratching post, and toys. I do not feel it's fair to keep her in one room when I know she would be a great "only cat" for someone who will love on her like she deserves! Extremely tough decision, but I do feel it's the best.

Story
This sweet girl is Nala and she is almost 8 years old. We rescued her from an abusive home in 2017. Unfortunately because of this she is very skiddish towards people and other animals. She does get along with dogs, but she would do better in a home with no dogs. She is extremely good with kids, more so than with adults! My youngest daughter is her bestie, but she has developed a severe allergy to cats. She takes awhile to warm up to people but once she does she is very cuddly. She loves her back scratches and getting brushed.
