Story
Tuxedo is a kitty with a bobbed tail. He is joyful and energetic. Tuxedo is neutered and has received his Rabies and Distemper vaccine. He loves to play with his siblings and knows how to use the litter box. He enjoys playing with noisy toys.  Dear Potential Adopter: YOUCANMAKEADIFFERENCE, INC is the result of one person’s dream. The same person who works to cover all the expenses associated with the organization cares for the rescues, completes all paperwork to keep the organization legal, and interacts with you. This usually involves working + 100 hours a week. The reason for this is because I care for the animals I rescue. I have tried securing volunteers to help with clerical and other related jobs with no success. Some people work for one day and never respond to our follow-up calls again. This has been the case for more than 10 years. I share this with you in the event that I don’t promptly respond to your email, text, or any other communication. I do try to respond to each and every communication directed to the organization about one of our dogs and 99 % of the time I do. I also try to keep potential adopters whose homes we have visited to ascertain if they are a good match for the dog they're interested in, informed of our final decision, this may not happen as fast as you may want but it does happen. The only thing we ask from you is to be understanding and patient, remember this is a “one woman” organization! It is our mission to be the voice for the voiceless. Each dog, cat, or horse that we adopt out has been promised a second chance for happiness and security. We take this promise very seriously. We evaluate two applicants at a time. If neither proves to be a good fit, we move on to the second set of 2 applicants each potential adopter is asked to complete a PRE-ADOPTION QUESTIONNAIRE. Following receipt of this document we proceed to schedule what we have come to call a “meet & greet”.  We travel up to 1.5 hours from our location to bring the pet to your home which allows you to see him/her in a secure environment without external distractions. It also allows us to observe the environment where the dog/cat will live and make sure that it provides all the required security to prevent as much as possible any accident. Given the extraordinary circumstances our country is experiencing we have now also instituted what we call "virtual home visits". Using technology for "good", we visit your household using a free app called Google Duo. You can install it for free on your smartphone and will allow us to have a "face-to-face" conversation as well as it will allow us to take a peek at your yard. This allows you to see the dog you are interested in, and us to evaluate your fenced-in-yard. After the meet and greet if you are still interested in our companion dog or cat, and If this is the pet for you we will proceed to complete the formal ADOPTION CONTRACT and collect the total adoption fee of $275.00 for dogs and $85.00 for cats. We remind every potential adopter that even under the best circumstance any animal brought into the house involves a financial investment. They need to be feed, provided with monthly flea preventatives and any other recommended medication, once a year at least they need to see a veterinarian for evaluation, as well as for the administration of any required vaccination. As with humans, animals do get sick and may require to see a veterinarian, it is strongly recommended that you establish an emergency fund for these occasions and/or secure PET INSURANCE to address those extraordinary circumstances. We ask all of our potential adopters to read our adoption contract beforehand and welcome as many questions as you may have after reading it. Out-of-state applications are no longer accepted. Again, thanks for your interest in one of our adoptable furry babies. This is the link to the Pre-Adoption Questionnaire, https://form.123formbuilder.com/5235602///please complete and returns to us. If you have any questions or concerns please call me at 850-270-8793, this is my direct line and if I happen to be busy your call on average will be returned within 2 hours. Have a great day! ##1176344##

Story
Introducing Rocket! Rocket is a 4-month-old black and white kitty looking for his furever home! After being rescued from a hoarding situation, Rocket has struggled with his diagnosis of FeLV. However, he has been learning to open up more as he feels less sick as the days go on and is living life as a happy kitten! Rocket LOVES to play and often gets into things he shouldn’t, like rolls of toilet paper (lol)! If you need a kitty that will give you some laughs and snuggles, Rocket is the purrfect match! To learn more about FELV, please visit: https://www.vet.cornell.edu/.../fel.../feline-leukemia-virus. FELV+ cats can only live with FELV+, so Rocket would need a home as an only kitty or with other FELV+ kitties (like his brother, Groot)! Rocket can live as a regular kitty aside from these regulations, and we just KNOW that his perfect fit is out there. 😸💚

Story
Hallie is the exact type of cat we have adopters constantly wanting to meet... aside from being absolutely gorgeous, this 4.5 month old female tortie is affectionate, playful, sweet, and energetic! Hallie’s foster dad says she is always wanting to be by his side (or on his lap) and constantly seeks allll the attention she can get. He tells us how much she loves to play and explore her surroundings, loves hanging out with her sister, Annie, and is a very classy and clean girl. With those piercing golden eyes and loving nature, Hallie is bound to make the best addition to any family. Interested in adopting this angel? Let us know!

Story
Hi everyone, I am Groot! The humans here believe me to be a 4-month-old-domestic shorthair kitten. The first thing you need to know about me is that I am a hugeee snuggle bug! Belly rubs are my absolute favorite thing and make me instantly purr my little heart out. After being rescued from a hoarding situation with my siblings, I was a little nervous around humans at first but you can easily convince me of your love with lots of pets and treatos! Anyway, if you're looking to add some more snuggles and love to your home, won't you pleeeease consider me? I have been diagnosed with FeLV, meaning I cannot live with other cats and have a weaker immune system than most, but me and my brother (not bonded) are both adoptable, so if you’re looking for a single or two kitties, we’re your guys! Don't let my FELV diagnosis scare you... I promise I'm worth it!
