Tux is 7 years old and is currently experiencing stress and anxiety due to other animals in her space. She will do best with a household with no other animals unless you have experience with introducing animals to other animals successfully. She can still be cuddly and cute but she is not adjusting well. She still enjoys playing and hanging out on the balcony.

Jezzabelle is a soft and cuddly 11-year-old female tuxedo. We rescued her 3 years ago as our first pet cat. We have a small dog that she boss's around. She does not like large dogs and I'm not sure how she would be with other cats. She loves to be brushed and pet. She's very spoiled in our house. She does not scratch up furniture and knows to use her scratching post. She loves to go sit in the sun on the patio and watch lizards and squirrels. She sleeps with and watches over her person at night. My oldest son had to come live with me due to the hurricanes. He looked ill so I took him to the ER and found out he has cancer. He is allergic to cats and starts chemo this month. I need to rehome Jezzabelle since my son's immune system will be compromised even more with chemo. I hope you will consider taking her in and giving her the best most loving forever home.

Violet is a senior kitty residing in our Haven facility. Violet needs to have eyedrops in her left eye a few times a week, which she takes without any problem. Please complete our online Adoption Application (https://cutt.ly/SaveOurStrays). An application is required to move forward with any adoption. NO PHONE CALLS, PLEASE! All Save Our Strays Inc cats have been sterilized, given one distemper vaccine, a rabies vaccine and have been tested for FeLV if under 6 months of age and for both FeLV/FIV if older. Also all have been microchipped. A contract must be completed prior to any adoption after approval of the adopter by one of our adoption volunteers. There is a screening process so merely wanting to adopt doesn't make someone eligible to adopt. Adoptions are approved at the discretion of the screeners. Please note cats come in and out of foster homes so seeing a cat on this site does not guarantee it will be available when you contact us. Also we do not adopt on a first come first serve basis. Our volunteers, particularly the foster homes, have first right of adoption even if at some point the photo is posted on this site. The present adoption fee is $100.00 (please note this amount may change without notification). Renters will be asked to provide proof that pets are allowed.
