Story
Lizzie is a one-of-a-kind little survivor with a heart as warm as her beautiful, swirly tabby coat. Just about to turn one year old, this shorthaired stunner has a unique mix of browns and orange that turns heads—but it’s her spirit that truly makes her special. Lizzie came to our rescue as a fragile kitten battling a severe upper respiratory infection. She wasn’t expected to survive, but this tiny fighter pulled through with the help of round-the-clock care and a lot of love. Hand-raised and cherished, she blossomed into a gorgeous kitten and was quickly adopted at 8 weeks old. Unfortunately, her first home didn’t turn out to be forever. As soon as she outgrew the “kitten phase,” Lizzie was abandoned and returned to us, shy and unsure. We don’t know what her experience was like in that home, but Lizzie came back needing a little extra patience and kindness. She’s still a bit nervous around other cats and would thrive in a calm, quiet household without other pets. Once she trusts you, she becomes the sweetest companion—affectionate, snuggly, and endlessly curious. Lizzie loves lounging by big windows, watching the world go by, or being entertained by a fish tank. She’s playful, gentle, and will reward your love with her quiet loyalty. She’s spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all her shots—ready to find the person who will never give up on her. If you’re someone who understands the beauty of a second chance and are looking for a loving, soulful cat to share your life with, Lizzie may just be your perfect match. Story
These two baby boys were born sometime this year in the spring so they are most definitely under a year old. Their caretaker has noticed an undeniable bond between the two and as time goes on, has realized the great outdoors is no place for these adorable brothers! Upon setting up outdoor cameras to monitor their safety It has been discovered multiple coyotes frequent the area. They cannot be let indoors as the homeowner already owns multiple elderly&stressprone indoor cats. All is being done to ensure they are healthy and cared for as outdoor kitties but the truth of the matter is EVERYONE involved wants to see these Two Affectionate and happy brothers in a lovely home TOGETHER. Twiggy has been taken to the vet on multiple occasions and was treated for eye infection which has since healed completely and during this time He was nothing but a pure doll! He loves human contact and has been expressing willingness to go inside the home since this time ! PLEASE RESCUE THESE BONDED BOYS!

Story
Link has been in foster care for almost a year patiently waiting for his forever home. He’s got the looks, the personality, and yes, some unique medical needs, but if you’re the kind of person who roots for the underdog, Link might just be your perfect match.   Why You’ll Fall for Link: Link is as cute as they come, but it’s his personality that really seals the deal. This guy is nonstop fun: he zooms through his tunnel, scales his cat tree like a champ, and turns every toy into an adventure. He’s very social and always purring. Basically, if you want a cat who makes you laugh, keeps you company, and never takes life too seriously, he’s your guy.   Link’s Needs: Link was born with a liver condition called a Portosystemic Shunt, which means his body needs a little extra help to function at its best. He takes medication twice daily, and eats a prescription diet.   He’s also visually impaired, but you’d never guess it. He navigates like a pro and quickly learns his surroundings.   What Link is Looking For: Link needs someone who can stick to his care plan and work with their vet to keep him healthy and thriving. He’d love to have another playful cat or cat-friendly pup as his buddy, but he would also be perfectly happy as the only pet getting all your love.   Foster-to-Adopt Option: To make things easier, Link is available on a foster-to-adopt basis. You’ll have full support from his foster family and vet team to help you get comfortable with his care.   Link just needs a loving and committed family to give him a real chance. Story
Meet Charlotte- a playful and resilient kitten!   At just 10 months old, Charlotte has already shown incredible strength and spirit. Found as a tiny kitten living outdoors in North Carolina with a broken tail, her journey took a heartwarming turn when a kind family rescued her and brought her to safety in Florida. Now fully healed from a partial tail amputation, spayed, vaccinated, and full of life, Charlotte is ready to find a family to call her own.   Charlotte is an energetic and athletic girl who thrives on playtime—dangly toys and laser pointers are her absolute favorites! She’s quick, agile, and always up for an adventure. But beneath her playful exterior, she has a soft and affectionate side. She loves to purr and will happily snuggle up once she’s had her fill of fun.   She’s great with cat-friendly dogs and, with a proper introduction, would likely get along well with a calm, laid-back feline friend. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, affectionate, and resilient companion, Charlotte could be the perfect match for you!   Are you ready to give this special girl the forever home she deserves? Fill out an application through our website or contact her foster for more information.    Foster -  Kitty Boynton 407-496-1931 (call or text) kittysboynton@gmail.com       Please apply on our website: www.thewayhomerescue.org Follow us on IG for more info: @thewayhomerescue March 17, 2025, 3:42 pm
