Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Resident since February 2023  After spending 17 months at the rescue waiting for a home, Mimosa went to one of our amazing foster homes with her friend, Boom Chocolatta. Both girls were very shy and skittish in the shelter environment and overlooked by adopters. They have spent the last 3 months in their loving foster home learning to be happy cats-playing, cuddling with each other and learning to be comfortable around people and accepting love. Their personalities have blossomed.   Mimosa was still a baby herself when she had kittens and now in her foster home she is learning to play and do all the things she didn’t get to do as a kitten. She acts more like a 1 year old cat and loves to explore, climbing high and low. She accepts rubs and affection but does not like to be picked up.   Mimosa and Boom Chocolatta would love to find a home together as they have become very close. They give each other confidence and enjoy sleeping, exploring and playing together. If they are not adopted together, they will need a home that has another friendly cat and an experienced adopter that is willing to give them the time to acclimate to a new home and family. Mimosa was surrendered to our rescue when her owner was unable to care for her and couldn't afford to get her spayed. Mimosa is very shy and at first skittish. A quiet, low traffic home with no children would work for her best for her. She does get scared of loud noises and fast movements. Once she gets to knows you, she is a lovebug! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. After spending a year at the rescue waiting for a home, Boom Chocolatta went to one of our amazing foster homes with her friend, Mimosa. Both girls were very shy and skittish in the shelter environment and overlooked by adopters. They have spent the last 3 months in their loving foster home learning to be happy cats-playing, cuddling with each other and learning to be comfortable around people and accepting love. Their personalities have blossomed. Boom Chocolatta was very shy at the shelter and did not allow much handling.  In her foster home, she became very close to Mimosa, always seeking her out to cuddle or follow around. Mimosa gave Boom the confidence to start exploring her new home. Boom has learned to play with toys and accept rubs from her people . One of her favorite places is her foster’s screened lanai, where she can lounge and watch lizards and squirrels. Boom accepts rubs and affection but does not like to be picked up. Little Boom was born to our Jeri back in March. She was one of seven babies, but unfortunately, only she and her sister, Truffle, survived. This girl is quite timid and would prefer a quiet home with no young kids as she spooks easily. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 1, 2024, 3:07 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This is little group of orange kitties made their way to PRBJ after a nice man found them alone in his yard at around 4 weeks old.  He monitored them, and when the mom did not come back, he continued to feed and care for them until he knew they were old enough to get their vaccines and prepare for their forever homes. Tango and siblings would love to be adopted with a sibling or be in a home with another young cat. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Jackson is a sweet little kitty that was found alone outdoors on his own when a nice lady took him in.  She was able to take him to get his vaccines and get neutered but was having trouble finding a good home and unfortunately her older cats were not happy about having a new kitty in the home, so she reached out to PRBJ to see if we could help him find a forever home Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 1, 2024, 3:07 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Cardinal and his siblings were found in the backyard of a person's home.  No mom cat was sited so they started leaving food out since the kittens seemed old enough to eat on their own.  Eventually after several days it was clear the mom was gone.  The kittens were taken in and a family watched over them for a few weeks while they searched for a rescue.  Finally the family contacted PRBJ and after a 2 hour drive the kittens were brought to the center to begin their journey to find their forever homes.
