Story
We have many cats that can be great mousers but aren't too fond of people. Put them to work in your warehouse or building to reduce your rodent population. In time they may even become friendly enough to pet. We will help you get set up. All cats are spayed/neutered and vaccinated. Please send inquiries to adoptions@ctcatconnection.org.This cat is waiting for it's Forever Home! Email adoptions@ctcatconnection.org with a question or better yet, complete an application for quickest consideration. (Application: https://www.ctcatconnection.org/adoption-application/). Please consider fostering a cat or dog by applying on our website.A cat's behavior in the shelter is usually not what it will be like in your home; if the cat is nervous, anxious, or agitated, please know that a shelter is a very stressful place for a cat.Kitten Policy: It is important to understand that the socialization of kittens with other animals as playmates is important for their development. Therefore, CT Cat Connection has a policy that kittens and teenagers up to 12 months of age are adopted in pairs unless there is another animal in the household as a playmate and companion.Due to demand, we cannot place cats or kittens on hold. Your visit to the shelter is to meet any cat or kitten available for adoption at the time of visit. If you or anyone you know is interested in helping the shelter, we are always looking for foster families of our cats and dogs, as well as in-person volunteers, to assist with animal care. Story
Meet Zeus Almighty! Estimated to be about 6 1/2 years old, Zeus came to us as a stray, searching for an indoor home and a chance to learn how to socialize with people. After spending a few months in foster care, he’s now ready to be seen and hopefully adopted by the right family.Zeus is definitely a "cat's cat" and must have a feline friend in his new home. We've introduced him to several cats, and he’s been friendly with all of them. Currently, he’s hanging out with a young cat named Miss Gracie, who is a little shy. They seem to find comfort and support in each other, and while they’re not bonded, they might enjoy being adopted together.Though he’s not quite ready for petting yet, Zeus is becoming more comfortable with people and their presence. He has the potential to be a wonderful house cat, possibly even a mouser, and would likely thrive in a quieter home, preferably one without children. If you already have a friendly cat looking for a playmate, or if you're open to adopting two sweet kitties, Zeus and Miss Gracie could be the perfect fit!Come meet Zeus Almighty, and see how this sweet, independent guy could be the right addition to your home! This cat is waiting for it's Forever Home! Story
Meet Buttercup, a resilient and sweet cat with a heart full of love, despite the tough journey she's been through. Once someone’s beloved pet, Buttercup was unfortunately put outside and was later hit by a car, which left her with multiple serious injuries. She required several surgeries to repair the damage, including the amputation of her tail and the removal of crushed teeth that had been jammed into her jaw.But Buttercup’s story doesn’t end there. She has been under the extraordinary care of a foster who has been helping her heal both physically and emotionally. After recovering from her spay surgery, she’s now pain-free and receiving the love, comfort, and pampering she deserves. Her foster has been an amazing support in helping her regain trust and feel safe again.Though Buttercup has been through a lot, she’s a gentle and loving cat who just needs a patient and understanding adopter to continue her healing process. She’ll need time to fully adjust, but with the right family, she will flourish and give back so much love in return. If you’re looking for a sweet and strong cat who has overcome so much, Buttercup might be the perfect match for you. She deserves a second chance in a home where she can feel loved and safe for the rest of her life. Come meet Buttercup and see how you can help her continue her journey toward happiness and trust. This cat is waiting for it's Forever Home!
