Story
Hex and Ray are 5-month-old bonded brothers who are as cute as they are unique! Hex, the all-black snuggle bug, is a total purr machine once he gets to know you. He loves curling up in your lap or snuggling next to you during a nap, making him the perfect cuddle companion. Ray, his all-grey brother, is a bit more cautious with new people, but he's learning that human hands aren't just for giving meds or shots—they're for treats, pets, and love! Ray will happily sit in your lap to enjoy some tasty snacks, play with your hair, and relax nearby. He's starting to embrace the good life, following in Hex's snuggly footsteps. These two are all about food! When it comes to Churus, they might be obsessed! Whether it’s Churu treats, canned food, or kibble, they’ll warm up to anyone with snacks in hand. When they’re not munching, Hex and Ray have plenty of kitten energy to burn. They love chasing wand toys, tossing toy mice, and wrestling with each other—playtime is always an adventure with these two. Hex and Ray are looking for a calm, predictable home with no kids, where they can continue to learn to feel safe and confident. They do well with other cats and calm, cat-friendly dogs, making them a great fit for a household with furry friends. Most importantly, they need a family that’s willing to give them the time and space they need to grow into the loving, playful companions they’re destined to be. We highly recommend following this process to make the transition to a new home/family as smooth as possible: https://www.denverkittens.org/post/how-to-win-over-a-shy-cat If this pair sounds like a good fit for you, please fill out an app!

Story
If you’re looking for a feline friend who’s as outgoing as he is adorable, Merick is your guy! This 2.5-year-old chatterbox has a signature chirpy meow that sounds just like his name: “Mer!” He loves striking up a conversation and will happily chat with you about his day, your day, or anything in between. Merick is the definition of a social butterfly—he’s never met a stranger! Whether you’re a kid, an adult, or a big family with lots of laps to share, he’ll make himself right at home. Snuggles are his favorite pastime, and he’s quick to hop onto your lap and settle in for some quality cuddle time. He’s dreaming of a family to curl up on the couch with while he purrs the night away. But still being quite young, Merick does like to play quite a bit: chasing wand toys, tossing feather toys, or pouncing on toy mice. This sweet guy does well with other cats and would likely be fine with dogs after a proper introduction. He’s easygoing and adaptable, but he’s also carrying a little extra fluff! To get him to a healthier weight, Merick will need a low-calorie diet or a feeding schedule (no free-feeding for this snack enthusiast!). And we can't forget that tail! Merick has a quirky little half-tail that he was most likely born with. We think it just makes him even more charming! Merick is FIV+, but don’t let that worry you—FIV is not considered special needs, and FIV+ cats live normal, happy lives just like any other kitty! They can also live just fine with other cats! Merick’s sunny personality and love for life make him the perfect addition to any family ready to give him all the love (and snuggles) he craves. Story
~Foster to Adopt~Hi friends, my name is Beau—the most handsome, dashing, and charming 15-year-old black cat you will ever meet.I have been to MaxFund twice. The first time was because my previous owner was moving into a memory care facility. I eventually found my new owner and thought things were going well, until one day I ended up here again. But, after several months I was lucky enough to find a loving foster home! Sadly, my fosters were unable to care for me long term so I am back at the shelter. Though, I am shy at first, I eventually warm up to people. I am very playful (for an old guy) and I never met a wand toy or laser that didn’t instantly get my attention. My most recent foster mom carried me around like a clutch, which is funny because I didn’t like to be picked up at the shelter. In fact, I really started to come out of my shell in my foster home. I even got along with the family dog!Every cat’s wish is for a forever home with a forever family. Would you consider taking in a sweet old guy?

Story
Who’s the new love of your life? Me that`s who. Yep, my name is Who. I am a beautiful, sweet, 14 years young lady who will warm your heart as soon as you meet me. I came to MaxFund with a cat brother who I lived with for most of my life. Our human needed to relinquish us because she moved in with people who were allergic to cats. It was especially hard on me as my brother looked out for me and was really outgoing so he was quickly adopted once we got here, leaving me all alone. The good thing is that there are other nice cats here even if I am really shy and don’t get out much. I guess I am a bit of an introvert now that I have experienced this heartbreak. Here at the shelter, I have a great domed bed that allows me to hide out when I want and watch all the action in my room from safety and warmth. I do get along with children and other calm cats who respect my space. I have a nice toy mouse that I like, but my favorite thing to do is cuddle. Boy, can I cuddle better than most. Especially if you walk up to my second story apartment, I will rub up against you, give you kisses, and rest my head on your shoulder.Who has been in foster for the past year. She continues to do well in foster. She is on thyroid medication, gets monthly solensia injections for arthritis, and has recently been diagnosed with HCM, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. This is a serious heart condition and our medical team is treating it. We just added a heart medication to her daily regimen. As HCM progresses in her heart, it is likely additionally medications will be necessary. If you are interested in adopting Who or have further questions about her, please email fostercats@maxfund.org and our Cat Foster Coordinator will contact you.
