Story
Hi, I’m Louise. I’m a 2-year-old, spayed female, tabico. I was rescued from a hoarding situation and brought here to find a caring home. I’m a little shy at first but warm up once I feel safe. I’d do best in a quiet home that will let me settle in slowly. I get along well with other kitties and can’t wait to know what a loving home is like.

Story
Milo is a 9-10 year old, neutered male who is looking for his forever home.  He unfortunately did have cancer of his ear but since his ear was removed, he is now cancer free per the vet.  Milo is a very sweet cat but does need a household that has no other cats.  Milo is fine with the dogs he has met.  Please call the shelter if you would like to meet him.  970-887-2988

This survey helps us learn more about you and answer any questions you may have, it is not a commitment to adopt.* Meet Frankie and Andie! These 5-6 month old brothers are looking for a special home, and one where they can go together (they’re best friends!). Unfortunately Frankie and Andie did not have human interaction during their critical kitten socialization period, and instead were living outdoors. They’ve made slow, but promising progress with our team, eventually allowing some brushing and pets on their terms, loving when we toss treats, and it’s clear they play all night while we’re away. We’re looking for a home that is safe for kittens; an indoor/outdoor mousing home may be ok, but with plenty of indoor acclimation time, a secure space to go at night, and with someone who wants to keep our kitties spoiled with lots of good food, cozy beds, and tons of toys. We wouldn’t be surprised if these two make friends with new family and learn to trust. All kittens come neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Cats that come to our shelters with histories and temperaments better suited to an outdoor lifestyle can be successfully placed with caring owners as working cats. These cats live in an outdoor setting where they have a "job". All of our working cats require adequate shelter, daily food and water, and medical care as necessary. When moving to a new outdoor home, they must be crated or confined to an indoor only space for at least 3 weeks to acclimate to their new environment. If you have any questions please reach out to find out more information.

This survey helps us learn more about you and answer any questions you may have, it is not a commitment to adopt.* Hi, I’m Jeremy, the cutest kitten at C.A.R.E.! When I got to the shelter last month, I wasn’t a happy guy (I was scared, shut down, and sick). But look at me now! I’ve had a lot of nice people taking care of me, and it turns out that tummy rubs, toys, and snack time really are the best! I’ll get scared again when a new family takes me home, but give me some space and time (and of course more treats and toys), and I’ll come back around. A friendly and calm cat would be fun to have in my new home too (my last foster home had a cat and we were buddies!). Want to hear more about me? Give our cat team a call or put your adoption survey in, then come on up to spend a little time getting to know me!
