Story
I adopted Tommy from Longmont Humane Society. He showed up at that shelter through a transfer from out of state. He’s the sweetest guy, with the loudest purr, and loves to play peekaboo. He self-soothes by making biscuits and sucking on a blankie.

Story
These two adorable siblings are the perfect example of why adopting a bonded pair is so rewarding. Their love for each other is heartwarming, and their personalities complement one another beautifully.Champagne (the bigger sister) is the brave and affectionate leader of the duo. She loves following her humans around, curling up in your lap while you read or watch TV, and soaking up all the pets you are willing to give. Her confident and curious nature helps Nougat feel safe and secure.Nougat is the goofy little brother and the comic relief of the pair. While he might be a bit shy at first, he warms up quickly. Once he trusts you, he will come seeking pets, purring up against you on his own terms. He is a playful explorer who adores feather toys and wet food, and he is especially fond of other cat friends. Both Champagne and Nougat get along wonderfully with other cats. They can be startled by too much activity in the house, but they are great with strangers—no aggression here! They have a perfect litterbox record and just need a little patience to adjust to a new home. Within a week, they will be showering you with love and laughter. If you are ready to add this sweet, playful, and loving pair to your family, Champagne and Nougat are waiting to meet you!

Story
Tiger Jr. is a controversial character at the shelter. He's covered in scars, likely from fights that he picked. He would prefer to be the only cat in a household. He loves who he loves, and ignores who he doesn't. For those that he loves, he's an incredibly affectionate cat and a certified seat-warmer. For those that he doesn't love, he does not allow himself to be seen. Recently, he has started letting more people into his small circle of friendship.

Story
Lickerish and her sister, Cat Benatar, are looking for a home together. They have grown up at the shelter and have now been in a kennel for over 2 years. They have not had an opportunity to run or be normal cats. Despite this, they are constantly snuggling, grooming each other and playing in the small space they have. The reason these two are still waiting for a home is twofold: Lickerish has feline leukemia, which means she will have a severely limited lifespan. Somehow, Cat Benatar has tested negative thus far. As she has been exposed, she will have a higher likelihood of developing it at some point. These cats are so connected and bonded that we are choosing to keep them together, despite knowing that Lickerish has feline leukemia. The second part of the reason they are still at the shelter is because they are shy. With people they know, Lickerish is a lap cat and loves a good butt scratch. Cat Benatar plays a little harder to get but she'll circle and meow with bright eyes and such sincerity. They will need someone who can give them time to allow themselves to be who they are; they may always love each other more than they would love a human. We would love for them to find a home, especially as Lickerish is on borrowed time. Even a foster would be a step-up for them where they could live comfortably in a spare bedroom and at least have space to run around and properly play. They should be in a home without other cats or with other feline leukemia positive cats.

Story
Alright y’all. We have another odd couple that are looking for a home together. CJ is a petite little tortie with striking green eyes. She’s darling and she will follow her people around from room to room. She was previously very anti-humans, but has now decided she actually really likes petting. She won’t tolerate being picked up (yet) but she will likely continue to make strides.CJ befriended a cat at the shelter named Mel, one of our longest inhabitants. Mel also decided he likes humans, which is a new-ish revelation. He will allow himself to be held and loves/seeks out affection. He has a permanent grump face but we love him for it.These two fell in love. They’re often seen canoodling in the fluffy beds around the shelter or grooming each other to the point of PDA. They will need someone who doesn’t want lap cats. They’ll need a patient and understanding home and definitely someone cat savvy. These cats will likely continue to thrive in a home, but we want to make sure they stay together. An apartment or a home doesn’t matter to them: just each other.

Story
Homer, or Homie as he's affectionately known as, is an absolute troublemaker. He has two speeds: sleeping in the most ridiculous positions or throwing his oversized body around like a wrecking ball. His favorite artist is Miley Cyrus since he always comes in like a wrecking ball. He lives and breathes for catnip and that's truly the way to his heart. He thinks human affection is just so-so but likes to be around people. His favorite time to receive attention from you is while you are using your computer, by standing directly on your keyboard. If he were a human, he'd be an introvert who wants to be invited to social events but always declines going to them. He does have a history of overgrooming which has greatly improved since he's now semi-free range. He would likely do fine with big dogs in a household but he can be a real bully to smaller creatures.
