Story
Hello! My name is Harv, I am a 4 year old, neutered male, short-haired Bombay mix.I was returned to MaxFund October 2024 with my brother Danger by no fault of my own, and now I am looking for my fur-ever home!I am looking for a snuggle buddy! I'm very affectionate, I love being pet and kissed on my face. I'm super friendly and I've never bitten or scratched, although I don't love getting pedicures! I love sunbathing, empty boxes, and laser pointers or ribbons! I also love rough-housing with my brother. My favorite treat is canned tuna. I have a chicken meal allergy, but with the right food I'm a healthy and happy boy. I haven't met any dogs, I was ok around children but I may do better in a home with no young kids. I like my brother Danger, not sure yet how I feel about other cats. I may be bonded to Danger, if so that means we cannot be separated and must be adopted together. My ideal home is a calm environment with no unexpected changes, maybe with my brother by my side.I am not medically cleared for adoption quite yet, you can keep an eye on the website to see when I am marked available! The shelter hours are Sunday - Monday, & Wednesday - Saturday (Closed Tuesday) 9:30 - 4:30, Closed 12:00 - 1:00 for lunch.

Story
~Foster to Adopt~Hi friends, my name is Beau-the most handsome, dashing, and charming 15-year-old black cat you will ever meet.I have been to MaxFund twice. The first time was because my previous owner was moving into a memory care facility. I eventually found my new owner and thought things were going well, until one day I ended up here again. But, after several months I was lucky enough to find a loving foster home! Sadly, my fosters were unable to care for me long term so I am back at the shelter. Though, I am shy at first, I eventually warm up to people. I am very playful (for an old guy) and I never met a wand toy or laser that didn't instantly get my attention. My most recent foster mom carried me around like a clutch, which is funny because I didn't like to be picked up at the shelter. In fact, I really started to come out of my shell in my foster home. I even got along with the family dog!Every cat's wish is for a forever home with a forever family. Would you consider taking in a sweet old guy?

Story
Greetings lovely people, Mittens here. I'm a strikingly beautiful, declawed grey girl with innocent eyes that are alert to everything happening around me. Born in 2016. I came to MaxFund in February 2022 because my owner could no longer care for me. I'd been with them all my life. Losing the only home I've ever known broke my heart. One important thing to know is that I am diabetic which means I require a special diet and daily insulin. So, I require just a little extra care but I promise it's not at all difficult -- the medical staff at MaxFund will walk you through everything. Mittens is currently in foster but is still desperately looking for her forever home. Here's what her fosters have to say about her: "Meet Mittens, a charming feline with a sweet tooth for life and a heart full of love. After spending two years at the shelter, she has found temporary comfort in a foster home and feels she is at her best and ready to commit to her forever home. Despite her occasional sassy hiss, this big-eyed sweetheart is a food-motivated cuddle bug who's looking for a special human to share her life with. Don't let her hiss fool you; it's just her way of saying she's got boundaries like any lady should. Once you've earned her trust, she'll be your loyal companion, offering purrs and affection on her terms.Mittens is special in more ways than one; she's managing her diabetes like a champ! With a consistent diet and some tender loving care, she keeps her spirits high and her glucose levels steady. Mitten's/Roomba's ideal home is a quiet, stable environment with a guardian/s who understand the needs of a diabetic cat. She thrives on routine and would do best in a home without small children or other pets that might disrupt her peace. If you're looking for a cat with character and you're ready to provide the special care she needs, Mittens might just be your girl. Come meet her and let those big, beautiful eyes win you over!""Mittens is a big-eyed, food-motivated sweetheart who's looking for a special human to share her life with. She's got a big personality and a lot to say. She's become queen of her new foster home in no time flat and wasn't shy about settling in, greeting visitors to the house with aplomb. Mittens loves to be near her humans and hang around the kitchen, where she might grab a nibble. After a breakfast-time lap cuddle with her foster dad, she loves to relax during the day in a cozy spot, and then lets you know when it's getting close to dinner time. She will happily accept chin, ear, and tail scritches, and doesn't mind being brushed gently. She's adventurous and adaptable and likes to stick close to the action.Mittens would do best in a quieter home, as she enjoys being underfoot."Please come meet this darling cat!

Story
Who's the new love of your life? I hope it's me...Who. Yes, my name is "Who". I am the amazing Who, a beautiful, sweet, 14 years young lady who will warm your heart as soon as you meet me. I was becoming quite depressed at the shelter. My brother and I were given up by our human mama after living together for most of our lives. It was so traumatic on all of us, including our human, who needed to relinquish us because she moved in with people who were allergic to cats. It was especially hard on me as my brother looked out for me and was really outgoing so was quickly adopted once we got here, leaving me all alone. I am now in a foster home but I still need a forever home. I take thyroid medication, but that doesn't bother me too much as it is easy take. I am more of an introvert and don't prefer a house with a lot of chaos. A quiet, gentle home with a nice human or humans suits me fine. I like pets and attention and I'm a great supervisor if you're working or doing chores. I like having a domed bed that allows me to hide out when I want and watch all the action around me. I get along with children and other calm cats who respect my space. I get along with dogs as long as they are calm and well-mannered. I have a nice toy mouse that I like, but my favorite thing to do is cuddle. Boy, can I cuddle better than most! When I get to know you I will rub up against you, give you kisses, and rest my head on your shoulder. Aren't I sweet? If you would like to know more about me, please email MaxFund's Cat Foster Coordinator at fostercats@maxfund.org and she will be happy to chat with you. Thanks for reading about me!
