Story
Okie is a gorgeous lady. She is very loving and sweet with people. No attitude issues. She does love her own space and does not do well with other pets. That, and we have a baby in the house now, is the main reason I cannot keep her any longer. She is a little on the older side so she relaxes all day by the windows sunbathing. She definitely deserves a loving and happy home which I cannot provide for her anymore. I really hope that someone can give her that. Please contact me anytime. Thank you!

Story
I got Peggy a little over a year ago. She is a 5 year old domestic short hair cat. She is tricolored with brown, black, and white. Peggy is a very fun cat. She is extremely cuddly, loves pets, and loves sleeping on fuzzy blankets. She can be a little feisty when she's riled up or wants space, but she's still an extremely sweet cat. She likes to play with toys that she can chase, like laser pointers. She doesn't do well with other pets, and is very much a one or two person cat. She is also a very vocal cat, and can and will tell you what she needs. I'm looking for someone who can be home and give her more attention than I can, as I work two jobs and am a college student.

Story
I’m hoping to find a good home for this sweet little guy. I’ve been fostering him and struggling to find the time to get him adopted due to some family emergencies. Beasty Boy, a neutered, 3 &1/2 yr old male kitty was my sister’s cat. She found him as a stray and took care of him for a short time until she passed away. Energetic and loveable, he craves attention and is happy to play, hop on your lap for pets, or catch soft toys like a soccer goalie. Because my sister had multiple cats, and what he dealt with as a stray, he’s afraid of cats, which causes him stress and urinary discomfort so is on a urinary diet which works well. He uses the litterbox no problem. Beasty has become very affectionate in the time I’ve fostered him. He’s still young and learning to trust and needs someone who’s gentle, patient, and eager to create a loving atmosphere. Beasty is a good boy and deserves a chance at a better life. I’d like to extend the love my sister had for him and find his forever home.

Story
Voodoo spent most of her life as a farm cat and was described as a good mouser. When her original owner could no longer keep her, Voodoo had trouble adjusting to being an indoors pet, and we believe she will be happiest resuming her life as a mostly-outdoors working kitty. In the past, she was quite shy with most people, though she did have moments of displaying affection toward her most familiar humans. She may be a good choice for someone seeking a semi-social working cat who appreciates her independence but may gradually develop a trusting relationship with her caregiver. In her most recent home, Voodoo had the occasional scuffle with other outdoor cats and is recommended to go to a property that doesn't include other felines, or offers ample opportunity for all cats to stake out their own spaces. She was known to play with a dog buddy in the past, and may enjoy going to a new home that includes another cat-friendly doggo.***Are you hiring? This working cat is seeking a job in a rural environment such as a farm, stable, or garden center where they can enjoy the freedom of outdoor life with the safety of a familiar place and a committed caretaker. Working cats span the spectrum of sociability, with some cats quite inexperienced and fearful of people, preferring to work from the shadows, and some cats who will eagerly rub against your boot and join you for your outdoor chores. Some working cats may amaze you with the mouse catching antics and athleticism, and some may be more hands off, discouraging pests with their presence and scent. Looking for a particular personality? Ask our team about finding the right cat for your environment. To set your new farm hand up for success, we recommend setting up a cozy, confined space replete with food, water, and litterbox. After a week or two of enjoying the amenities of their new environment they'll feel much safer staying put and getting to work. Have a big job? Ask our team about cats that may enjoy working in pairs or groups. All working cat adoptions are fee-waived, with spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, and microchip included. Meet gentle Guerito! He is a handsome orange tabby who has needed a little extra time adjusting after the big change from his previous home to the shelter. While the transition has been a bit tricky, he's slowly starting to open up and show his gentle side. He's especially winning hearts with his love of tasty treats and quiet curiosity. With a little patience and kindness, we believe Guerito will blossom into a wonderful companion.
