Story
Meet Harlow! She is looking for a new home by December 28 of 2025 as the children have gone after college and Mom is going on an international trip for an extended time. She just turned five in July 2025. She joined our family in September 2020. We adopted her from the Marin Humane Society. It is our understanding that some kittens from the Napa Humane Society had been brought to Marin post fires in the Napa area when their shelters were full. Harlow has only been an indoor cat. She has all her immunizations up-to-date and is given a monthly flea pill which we purchased from the vet. She is fed by an automatic feeder and automatic water. She uses a litter box. Those items would be provided if needed. She has never had any health issues. Her nails and hair are trimmed often by someone who comes to our home to do so. She is micro chipped and spayed. We believe she would be best suited for a quieter home without other pets or small children.

Needs special attention, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet Gerty, a bold and charming adult cat with a heart as big as her personality. Gerty arrived weighing 23 pounds and is currently on a dedicated weight-loss journey, complete with a special diet and fun exercise routines like chasing her kibble and enjoying supervised hallway strolls. She’s making progress and taking it one step at a time. While Gerty may be a big girl, her personality is even bigger. She likes to take introductions at her own pace—offer her your hand so she can sniff and get to know you first. Once she trusts you, Gerty transforms into a total lovebug, happily shadowing her favorite people. When she’s comfortable, she eagerly greets staff at the gate and enjoys being close to those she loves. Gerty is accustomed to being the only pet and would thrive as a single cat or possibly with another calm, easygoing feline companion. Due to her current size, she needs a little extra help with grooming and receives routine “butt baths” to keep her comfortable while she continues her weight-loss journey. To best support Gerty and her adopters, she will go home in a foster-to-adopt placement, allowing us to continue assisting with her weight management before finalizing the adoption. We are seeking a committed forever home where Gerty can continue to slim down, blossom, and enjoy life with the family who will love her for years to come.

Story
Meet Inky, a sweet soul from our shelter who dreams of a quiet home with plenty of snuggle time. Despite being timid at times, Inky blossoms into a cuddly companion once she feels safe. She quickly warmed up to our staff once she got some good cheek scratches, rolling over in delight! Her gentle nature makes her perfect for serene environments where she can relax and show her affection. Inky adores cheek scratches and will happily curl up on your lap, making every moment peaceful and comforting. Adopting Inky means gaining a loyal friend who will enrich your life with her mellow and tender presence. She has lived with other cats before and was indoor/outdoor, though she would likely be happy to be indoors only and your one and only pet, if you'd like to keep this snuggly girl all to yourself!

Story
Meet Chicken, a soft, fluffy black kitten with a shy but tender heart. Though he may be timid at first, Chicken becomes affectionate once he feels safe, happily rewarding your patience with steady, soothing purrs. His calm, mellow nature makes him an ideal companion for quiet afternoons, while his independent side means he’s perfectly content relaxing on his own, too. Chicken is a little treasure waiting to be discovered—perfect for someone who appreciates the gentle, subtle joys of a feline friend. Adopt Chicken and bring home a bundle of both equal parts quiet sweetness and wonderfully loud purrs.
