Story
DOB 3/29/21 Meet our bouncing Bungee boy! Sweet Bungee is a bundle of fun and energy, and he literally bounces around! His congenital defects have caused deformity in his spine, but he has found a way to survive, thrive, and make life as adventurous as possible! Bungee is a ball of energy! He loves to play and explore but also gives the best cuddles! This handsome boy can hold his ground and gets into his fair share of shenanigans! He also loves to sleep with you and cuddle right p next to you at night or for an afternoon nap. Bungee will need an experienced adopter or someone who is willing to learn, as he needs help going to the bathroom due to his spinal deformities. Bungee is able to wear a diaper quite easily because he has no tail! But he will have to be expressed at least 2 x a day. It is not difficult to learn and we will be right there to teach you, and to help whenever you have concerns. Applications can be found here on Petfinder or on our website http://houseofbrokencookies.com/ Or If you wold like more information about our amazing boy, Email us at houseofbrokencookies@gmail.com Prior to adoption, all cats have the following services: *Spay or Neuter *3 in 1 Vaccination *De-wormed *Treated for fleas *Tested for FIV/FELV *Micro-Chipped

Story
DOB 5/16/22 Sweet, gentle, beautiful and full of love. Esme is a lovely girl who has had her struggles in life and truly just wants someone to love her and give her the time and attention she deserves. This beautiful soul will sit and wait and watch you with her gorgeous eyes until you come close to give her pets and belly rubs. She is a quiet girl who loves to play. She will chase a string toy and play with your shoe laces. Esme is quite honestly a perfect companion. Miss Esme has had a bit of a journey since she left the OC Shelter in December of 2020 to join us at HOBC. She has had few gastrointestinal issues that have been ongoing. She is a bit of a medical mystery when it comes to her little tummy, however this girl always bounces back from her rough days and gives all the love in the world. We are looking for a special foster (possibly long term or forever) or adopter willing to work with us on her chronic tummy concerns and will need some patient upkeep. We promise that her sweet heart is worth every bad tummy day she may have! You can find an application here on Petfinder or on our Website: http://houseofbrokencookies.com/ or Please contact us (houseofbrokencookies@gmail.com) for more information about this pet. Prior to adoption, all cats have the following services: *Spay or Neuter *3 in 1 Vaccination *De-wormed *Treated for fleas *Tested for FIV/FELV *Micro-Chipped

Story
DOB 04/03/2021 Wilbur is funny, handsome, playful and lovable. He likes to play chase with his friends and can climb very well. Wilbur is a very special guy but nothing keeps him from having fun and enjoying life. Wilbur gets along with other kitty’s and likes having a playmate but he is also very good at cat naps and cuddles! Wilbur has a spinal abnormality that is congenital. There isn't anything to be done and as the specialist said "he's perfect just the way he is". Wilbur has always been healthy and full of energy. He taught himself how to walk and nothing slows him down! He will need some accommodations just to make things a little easier now and in the future but he has a heart of gold and is more than worth any extra he might need. Wilbur gets around very well, we provide cat trees to get up and down and he can manage a couple steps but would do best in a home that is level/one story. He is good with people although a little shy until he gets to know you. Accommodations - A few sturdy cat trees and litter box that is a little lower in the front, and a good healthy diet to keep him lean and at a good weight, but other than that he’s just a regular guy. Wilbur would love to be adopted into a home with another kitty close to his age so he will have a playmate and someone to keep him company when his humans are away. He also has a few friends that are available for adoption as well if your looking for a pair. Please find applications on our website. http://houseofbrokencookies.com/ Or Email us at: houseofbrokencookies@gmail.com Prior to adoption, all cats have the following services: *Spay or Neuter *3 in 1 Vaccination *De-wormed *Treated for fleas *Tested for FIV/FELV *Micro-Chipped

Story
Meet Tootles, our extraordinary orange boy with a heart of gold! He is such a happy guy: he adores cuddling up with people and engaging in playful antics with his feline companions. Tootles is our Minister of Silly Walks due to his minor rear limb deformities. Despite this, he’s a bit of a daredevil, scooting and jumping all around his foster home with his friends! In addition to his congenital leg deformities, Tootles’ eyelids did not form correctly, which just means he sometimes has a charming squint! He has received thorough vetting and regular checkups from specialists who agree he's healthy and ready for a loving forever home. With a few simple modifications (e.g. cat trees to help him climb) and monitoring for signs of arthritis, this amazing boy will thrive in an environment filled with love and care. Tootles would also do best with a playmate–if there isn’t already a cat at your house, he grew up with the other adoptable HOBC cats, and would love to bring one of his lifelong friends home with him! Cats with special needs like Tootles require a little more attention and consideration than the average cat, and we want to ensure that you and Tootles will be an excellent match! When you’re ready, please fill out our adoption application! Send to houseofbrokencookies@gmail.com. From there, we will contact you for a phone interview, and to arrange a meet-and-greet. We are confident Tootles will be a cherished member of your family! Prior to adoption, all cats have the following services: *Spay or Neuter *3 in 1 Vaccination *De-wormed *Treated for fleas *Tested for FIV/FELV *Micro-Chipped

Story
With her luxurious black and white fur and brilliant green eyes, Oakland is as beautiful as she is resilient! She was rescued in Oakland, CA at just 7 weeks old. She was born with deformities to all four legs: her front legs were able to be corrected as a kitten, leaving the back two that now point in unique directions, but that doesn’t slow her down for a second! With proper medical care and a ton of love and time to grow, she has become a funny, strong, and independent girl. She does take a moment to get used to new faces–although she doesn’t love to be held and carried around, she does love attention from people and other cats! For Oakland to have a full life at home with you, she needs you to continue her monthly Solensia injections and weekly Adequan injections for her arthritis in her back legs, and she needs cat trees in order to climb, but she is otherwise completely independent! Oakland would be happy as an only cat, or with a companion: She grew up with the other adoptable HOBC cats, and would love to bring one of her lifelong friends home with her! Cats with special needs like Oakland’s require at least some extra time, attention, and financial consideration than the average cat, and we want to ensure that you and Oakland will be an excellent match! Please fill out an application and email it to us at houseofbrokencookies@gmail.com. From there, we will contact you for a phone interview, and arrange a meet-and-greet. Thank you for considering this beautiful girl! Prior to adoption, all cats have the following services: *Spay or Neuter *3 in 1 Vaccination *De-wormed *Treated for fleas *Tested for FIV/FELV *Micro-Chipped

Story
Hi, I’m Cisco. I came to SBACC in July of 2011 with my brother Poncho when we were about 14 weeks old. We were both very frightened and went into foster care together. My brother was a bit more outgoing than I am and he finally got adopted. I am nervous around people I don't know and usually keep to myself. If I know someone, I may allow  petting, especially when it's quiet. I respond to quiet voices and I love treats.  I get along fine with the other mellow cats in my room.  I’m comfortable here and wouldn’t mind living out my senior years where I’m loved and cared for by a wonderful team of volunteers and staff.  Maybe if the right person came along, I could adjust to a new home, but after all this time at SBACC, it feels like home!
