Story
Heartthrob is a clever and mischevious cat; while in shelter care, he is typically aloof and independent, in a home, he would love for his person to pet him all day. Heartthrob is not one for toys but enjoys exploring his space. He knows how to open doors and cupboards!Hearthrob`s adoption fee is waived!Hearthrob was diagnosed with a grade III-IV/VI murmur. A cardiac ultrasound was performed and diagnosis is a a stage B1 hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy (HOCM) was diagnosed. HOCM is a genetic disease that causes thickening of the heart muscle as well as turbulent flow of blood through the aorta. At this time, the cat you are adopting is not showing any signs of heart failure. He is currently on a medication called Atenolol to help his heart and will have to be on it life long. He will need a repeat cardiac ultrasound in 6 months to assess progress of his heart disease.Do you have questions about this animal or are you ready to take the next step to adoption? Story
Johnny Quicksilver is loyal, sweet and loving. While he hides from new people at first, once he bonds with you, he will try to sleep if your bed if you let him! Johnny likes his cat scratcher, catnip toys and especially a laser toy - he`ll do parkour to chase laser dot! Johnny is a good cat; not a lap cat but happy to hang with you on the couch and comes when called. He doesn`t mind being picked up but doesn`t love having his belly touched. Johnny Quicksilver was surrendered to Valley Humane on 8/20 as his owner could no longer afford his care. He has a history of urinary crystals. To address the crystals, this cat should be fed only a commercial prescription cat food that is specially formulated to reduce urinary struvite crystal formation on an ongoing basis.Johnny Quicksilver`s adoption fee is waived! In addition, Valley Humane will provide the first 6 months of his prescription diet to his adopter.Do you have questions about this animal or are you ready to take the next step to adoption? Story
Lottie is all things energetic kitten, bundled beautifully into a small calico package. She's playful, funny, and always on the move. Lottie doesn't miss a single thing, and prefers to know exactly what's going on around her. She's spent a large portion of her time with Allie's Pals in a foster home with adult cats, who have taught her manners. But make no mistake, Lottie is a kitten with a big personality; she's eager to take life by the whiskers and live it up! Lottie is spayed, microchipped, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, fully vaccinated (including rabies), treated to prevent fleas, and litter box trained. Her birth date is estimated to be September 2, 2024. Lottie is being fostered by Terri; please text 925-487-7279. Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Meet Love Note! She is a gentle girl with silky soft fur (even her nose is a little furry) and very pretty coloring. She is very playful and loves toys she can chase. She normally doesn’t seek attention but gladly accepts and appreciates it when given to her and will visit everyone in the room willing to give her adoration. You will be rewarded with loud purrs. She loves chin and neck scratches and likes to be held and will sit on your lap. Her foster family jokes that she might be part dog with her active tail flicks (but not in an aggressive way). However, she can still be a bit skittish at times so probably would do best in an adult household. Her foster family believes she will be a wonderful companion! Love Note has congestion. A cause could not be found. No oropharyngeal polyp was found. The congestion does not appear to cause her any discomfort and is not thought to be contagious at this time.Do you have questions about this animal or are you ready to take the next step to adoption?
