Story
Did you know there is a desert named "Little Sandy"? Neither did we..but when you have a litter of kittens found in a crazy dried-up canal living in a network of sand tunnels...you look up the names of all the deserts on Earth to find a name for said kittens. Little Sandy is the spitting image of her mother...Greater Sandy. See what we did there?.... It is cute we swear. Anyway, Little Sandy lives in foster care with her brothers, Dunebuggy and Mojave. In Sandy's mind her brothers are crazy, what with their playing and troublemaking all day. Sandy prefers things a little quieter and is more apt to a good snuggle than a rough-housing session. But that isn't to say she doesn't play! Like all kittens Little Sandy is hard pressed to resist a good feather toy or a crinkle ball. Little Sandy is a bit unsure about the world and can be a little slower to warm up - she was the last of her siblings to learn how to purr, but now she is a bit of a purr-machine. Pick her up and Little Sandy will snuggle into the crook of your arm - half for comfort and half to hide her face. But regardless of her shy nature, Little Sandy is gentle generally well-behaved. We recommend that Little Sandy be adopted with one of her brothers, Mojave or Dunebuggy as the familiar kitten will help her adjust to her new home.

Story
Say hello to the sweetest little boy - Cheddar! Cheddar is a quiet and reserved boy, but don't let that stoic exterior fool you! This boy still has plenty of kitten energy, and it shows as soon as the toys come out. He loves to chase crinkle balls and anything that rolls or slides! He loves affection but can be shy with other cats so he would do best in a house with older pets who will leave him alone or as a singleton. This little bean holds a special place in our hearts - Cheddar was adopted out as a young kitten through a partner rescue, but on his adoption day he was found to have FIP and was returned. He came to Little Bean's as an FIP foster and completed 84 days of treatment. Unfortunately, it came back less than a month later and Cheddar underwent ANOTHER 84 days of treatment. Cheddar has been officially declared FIP free!! He spent most of his kitten-hood sick and we think that put a bit of a damper on his interest in play - so he needs a supportive environment that will show him what it is like to be a happy, healthy kid! FOREVER KITTEN ALERT! His time being sick may have affected his growth as this boy is on the small side - he is a bit short and a bit stout, and has a BIT of a pudge - but that just makes him all the more adorable!

Story
Say hello to Milly! This little girl is super affectionate and wants nothing more than to be on your shoulder all day. She loves to be carried around like a baby and will sleep on your face and give you little kisses to remind you how much she loves you. She will occasionally play with other kittens, but she much prefers the company of humans. She would be OK in a home with other pets if they are either her age and playful or older and won't get territorial against her. When she isn't cuddling up to you, Milly enjoys zooming around the house and "hunting" mice toys. Milly is one of Little Bean's special beans. Raised as a bottle baby, when she was around four months old, we discovered she had a congenital defect in her esophagus, causing her to have severe difficulty eating food. Unfortunately, she is not a candidate for reconstructive surgery, so Milly must follow a strict diet of liquid food with high protein. Luckily, this is pretty easy to do! Simply blend up some kitten pate wet food with water and you are good to go! Milly has mostly learned that she cannot eat dry food so she is OK to go to a home where an existing pet is free-fed kibble. Milly will learn her feeding schedule and will excitedly wait in her feeding spot :) Due to her difficulties getting enough calories as a kitten, Milly is a very small cat. Fully grown, she is about 5 pounds and the size of a teenage kitten...perfect for small living spaces or apartments!

Story
Say hello to Farrah! This sweet girl is a gorgeous and unique 2-year-old "ticked torbie" - a mix of a tabby with the uncommon "ticked" coat and a tortoiseshell. Farrah was adopted out as a kitten with her sister at a partner rescue, but she did not do well and spent most of her formative months living under a couch. When she came to Little Bean's, she was shut down—she would barely eat and would run whenever we came towards her. We are happy to say she has completely recovered and has become a sweet, chill, independent cat. However, she is still not a fan of other cats, and while she is not aggressive towards them, she would prefer to be an only pet! Farrah enjoys life's finer things—namely, a sunny window in which to lounge away most of the day or do bird-watching. While she generally won't come seeking affection, she thoroughly enjoys head scritches and pets and is very gentle with people.

Story
Say hello to the teeniest member of our fancy tuxedo litter - Burberry! Burberry was born in Los Banos, after her mother was left behind when her owners moved away. Thankfully, a caring neighbor took in the eight kittens and raised them safely indoors. Burberry grew up as the smallest of her litter of eight and tends to be a bit of a chew-toy for her siblings, but her more gentle demeanor means she is a big sweetie-pie! She can be a bit shy in new situations, but like most cats and kittens she warms up quickly and will take ownership of your house in no time! Burberry grew up in a home with a small dog and would be OK in a household with an older or "mellow" dog. Burberry is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to find his forever home! Schedule a meet-and-greet with her below!
