Story
Meet Freddy ❤️ After spending many, many years living outside, likely over four, Freddy’s life changed forever last August. He and his best friend, Baby Cat, were absolutely inseparable. They did everything together. But tragically, Baby Cat was taken by coyotes, and Freddy was left completely alone. His longtime caregivers knew they couldn’t risk losing Freddy too. He was too sweet, too social, and too trusting to survive much longer outside. So they reached out for help, and we brought him indoors to safety. Freddy has now been inside for over a month, and he’s thriving. He went to the vet, got full bloodwork, and even had an ear cleaning. Everything came back normal. He does have some arthritis from his years outdoors, but he’s doing great on simple joint supplements. Freddy is absolutely a senior gentleman, and he has the softest soul. He is so cuddly, purrs like a little engine, and just wants to be cozy, comfy, and next to his person. His ideal life is sleeping on you, beside you, or anywhere warm and safe. ✨ Freddy is ready for a forever home where he can spend his golden years being adored. If you’re looking for a gentle, grateful, affectionate companion, this boy will steal your heart.

Story
How this pet arrived: Black Bear was brought in by a community member on August 15, 2025.Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Black Bear! This gentle soul is a shy kitty who will need a patient adopter willing to provide him with a safe, quiet space to adjust at his own pace. Once he feels comfortable, he loves receiving back rubs and paw massages. He is a very sweet boy who will gently ask for pets and make biscuits when he's extra happy. Black Bear is blind and has no teeth, so he will do best in a calm home where his environment stays consistent. He is also living with kidney disease, so his future family should be prepared to monitor his lab work and keep an eye on any changes in his health with the help of their veterinarian. Black Bear may have some special needs, but he has plenty of love and affection to share! If you're ready to open your heart and home to this sweet boy, he's sure to reward you with loyal companionship. Come on in to learn more about him today! At SDHS:Black Bear has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. He is now ready for his new home! Primary Color: Black Weight: 8.41 Age: 10yrs 4mths 1wks
