Minx is a young, sleek little girl kitty and was born sometime in July 2021. Minx was born into an outdoor cat community and had a rough start. She was badly injured at about 10 weeks old requiring stitches, antibiotics and a lot of TLC. We were unsuccessful in returning her to the colony and she was taken back into foster care until neutered (ear tipping tells us the cat is is neutered). In December, another attempt was made to introduce Minx into a new, safer area however, she was attacked again (perhaps by a dog). So, Minx returned to foster care with new stitches. We felt, given the amount of time she had now spent in a home, Minx had transitioned into being a house pet. The foster home was not suitable as there were two elderly cats that tolerated her, but she was a too rambunctious for them. Currently, she is in a second foster home with two other cats. After a month and a cautious introduction, she has made great progress. But three cats is still a crowd in this home. Therefore, we are seeking a home where she can be either the sole kitty or with one additional friend. Minx is a typical teenager and is hungry all the time, so we give set amounts of food in the morning and evening. She isn’t food aggressive and was touched, pet and stroked while eating to ensure this. Minx is very playful and loves toys, balls and even objects with small bells, but is frightened easily by things like ceiling fans or loud, startling sounds. She will wear a cat harness, even though she is still learning how to be outside with one on. When she is done bouncing around, Minx enjoys sleeping on the bed with people and also likes burrowing under the covers for a snooze. If you are sitting, she will come to sit/curl up on your lap but she doesn’t like constant petting for extended periods of time.
Personality Traits:
Is litter box trained
Has been around other cats
Should NOT be in a home with small children
Is a very ACTIVE kitty
Does NOT liked to be held
LIKES to be picked up
Can be adopted singly
Would be happiest with a buddy
Other Personality Traits:
Minx doesn't mind being picked up for a while and stroked a little, but will get fidgety and squirm to be released. She would likely not do well with small children. It will take her a while to transition into a home with new animals, but is used to living with other cats. She is very smart and has learned to open doors, go through a door flap and will wear a harness, though she is not used to walking on it for an extended period. She is active, explores everywhere and likes to find perches on shelves and on top of bookshelves
