CH is not painful or progressive, and Penelope has learned to navigate her world with impressive determination and grace. Penelope is also FIV-positive, which simply means she will need a calm, indoor-only home and regular wellness care—just like any other cat. With good nutrition, low stress, and routine veterinary visits, FIV+ cats can live long, happy, healthy lives. Despite these challenges, Penelope is overflowing with sweetness. She adores gentle affection, enjoys quiet company, and has a soft, trusting nature that wins hearts instantly. She will thrive in a patient home that understands her special needs and celebrates her unique way of being. Meet Stretch — The Quiet Soul Looking for “His Person” Stretch is a two-year-old black-and-white neutered male with a thoughtful gaze and a heart that opens slowly, but deeply. He came to us from a wonderful woman who loved him dearly but could no longer care for him due to her health. She still visits him, and he lights up in her presence — proof that Stretch can love, trust, and bond… he just needs the right person. Stretch is what we lovingly call a loner. He prefers quiet spaces, calm energy, and people who respect his boundaries. Right now, he does not enjoy being touched or approached by most people — but with the one human he chose, he was warm, affectionate, and trusting. That tells us his heart is not closed… it’s just careful. Stretch needs a very special adopter — someone patient, gentle, and willing to give him all the time he needs to feel safe. He doesn’t want a busy household or a home full of expectations. He wants a soft place to land, a quiet room, and a person who understands that love doesn’t always come quickly… but when it arrives, it’s precious.
