Story
Milo (formerly Delilah, long story) is a ≈ 6-7 year old male cat. He is very sweet but needs more attention than we are able to give him with a toddler in the home. He is good with kids, and loves to snuggle and be pet. We rescued Milo in 2019 after he was dumped and living outside. He has been through a lot and needs someone that can give him their full attention and love, which we are unable to provide anymore. He is very adaptive and good with other animals. You will often find him curling up on soft blankets and warm spots and loves to sleep in the bed with his humans. We are heartbroken but know he deserves a home where he can be the sole baby. He is a great cat - sweet and docile, and will make a great addition to your home. He has his initial shots but we have not updated them since we moved last year. We are asking an adoption fee to make sure he is well taken care of but also taking shots into consideration. Please let me know if you have any questions about this sweet boy.

Story
Hi there! This kitty is Loki the girl cat. Loki's owner died a few years ago and Loki has been in foster care ever since. She's about 5 years old now, vocal, BIG fan of pillows, loves perches near windows, obsessed with dogs, and typically prefers to be petted with your eyes. Yeah. Loki is extremely particular over who can pet her when. Her current foster (Loki's former Mom's sister) hasn't cracked the code. Loki will often meow and rub up against her humans, occasionally even allowing a pet! But if you pet too long or read the signs wrong, she slaps your hand (no claws used) and runs away. However, former owner's Mom is able to get a lot farther with Loki so we know there is hope for this cat. She was amazing with her original owner and we know she can be amazing with the right person again, we just need to find him/her. While Loki is people selective and shy at new places, she actually really likes sitting in the same room as people. She might not get in your lap (she did for last owner) but she loves being near you. She is also a HUGE FAN of all dogs. She meows at them, rubs against their legs, shares her food, and generally does really well with new dogs (of any size). She previously lived with 5 other cats (all of him who have been long sense adopted by now) and did well with her brother and another cat... She hasn't made any feline friends in her current foster home but is working on it. Look, we know this is a long shot. Loki will be amazing for the right person and we know she can be a loving cat, we just need someone to see her, fall in love, and give her the opportunity to blossom. If you're interested, please let us know via the link here: dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form and we'll forward it directly to her foster pawrent. If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form Most of our are pets are fostered in Southern foster homes and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel. Story
Hello, Humans! I'm Comrade Leon Pouf-Aloof--affectionately known as Pouf--and I'm a beautiful, long-haired boy with a youthful, playful nature. My pa was a Maine Coon, my mom a domestic longhair. That makes me, therefore, 100% Majestic Floof. I'm loving and sweet-natured. My favorite game is chase: It goes like this: I sound three short, rapid meows, then wait for my human to catch up to me. Then, just when you think you have me, I dart off. But wait! Chase me a little, and I'll trot off to hide. Turn and run, I'll chase you back. I'll contentedly play with you this way for hours. I love snuggles, and I'm great with dogs. I'm eight years old, but I'm still energetic and playful, with a youthful heart. My humans are sad to let me go, but their home was foreclosed, and they want me to have a safe, stable home where I can make a new family. They are heartbroken, but they know someone will love me for the beautiful boy that I am.

Story
Um, hello, there. I'm Turtledove. I'm not like other girls; I'm a longhaired, 8-year-old Torbie with a face to die for. My dad was a Maine Coon, my mom was a domestic longhair. You could say that I was destined to be a floofy bundle of gorgeousness. I was hand-reared by my human mommy. I'm a little shy at first, but Mom says I'm sweet, and I love my humans. I may need a little while to warm up, because I am very accustomed to my home and my humans. However, once I'm used to you, you'll have a loyal friend ready for a lifetime of snuggles. I adore scritches under the my chin, and I love to burrow under blankets with my humans. I am intimidated by loud noise and aggressive bids for affection, but call to me gently and hold out your hand, and I'll come running. My humans love me dearly, but they're losing their home, and I can't go with them. They desperately want a happy life for me. Would you please give me the opportunity to be your pet? Great with dogs.

Story
Hi! I'm Long Baby. Whoever said that cats are unfriendly and aloof never met me! I greet my humans enthusiastically every time I see them, and I meet strangers with my tail held proudly aloft and curled like a candy cane. I enjoy pets and cuddles, especially when you're watching TV or reading. My name refers to my unusually long toes, which I can use almost like humans use their fingers. In fact, my family often jokes that I'm a human trapped in a cat's body. Some of my more human attributes include: looking both ways before I cross the street, trying to open door knobs with my hands (oops, paws), and using the toilet (but only for #1). I was abandoned as a kitten, and I was happy to be found by humans who adored me. Unfortunately, my family lost their home to foreclosure, and I must now look for another family. Could that be you? I'm great with dogs, and superb with kids. I'm patient and gentle, but I'm also playful and fun. Please give me a chance.
